民数記 35
1 ヱリコに對するヨルダンの邊なるモアブの平野においてヱホバ、モーセに告て言たまはく
And the LORD spoke unto Moses in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho, saying,
2 イスラエルの子孫に命じてその獲たる產業の中よりレビ人に住べき邑々を與へしめよ汝らまたその邑々の周圍に郊地をつけてレビ人に與ふべし
Command the children of Israel, that they give unto the Levites of the inheritance of their possession cities to dwell in; and all of you shall give also unto the Levites suburbs for the cities round about them.
3 その邑々は彼らの住べき所その郊地は彼らの家畜貨財および諸の獣をおくところたるべし
And the cities shall they have to dwell in; and the suburbs of them shall be for their cattle, and for their goods, and for all their beasts.
4 汝らがレビ人に與ふる邑々の郊地は邑の石垣より外四周一千キユビトなるべし
And the suburbs of the cities, which all of you shall give unto the Levites, shall reach from the wall of the city and outward a thousand cubits round about.
5 すなはち邑の外に於て東の方に二千キユビト南の方に二千キユビト西の方に二千キユビト北の方に二千キユビトを量り邑をその中にあらしむべし彼らの邑の郊地は是のごとくなるべし
And all of you shall measure from without the city on the east side two thousand cubits, and on the south side two thousand cubits, and on the west side two thousand cubits, and on the north side two thousand cubits; and the city shall be in the midst: this shall be to them the suburbs of the cities.
6 汝らがレビ人に與ふる邑々は是のごとくなるべし即ち逃遁邑六を與ふべし是は人を殺せる者の其處に逃るべきための者なり此外にまた邑四十二を與ふべし
And among the cities which all of you shall give unto the Levites there shall be six cities for refuge, which all of you shall appoint for the murderer, that he may flee thither: and to them all of you shall add forty and two cities.
7 汝らがレビ人に與ふる邑は都合四十八邑これを其郊地とともに與ふべし
So all the cities which all of you shall give to the Levites shall be forty and eight cities: them shall all of you give with their suburbs.
8 汝らイスラエルの子孫の產業の中よりレビ人に邑を與ふるには多く有る者は多く與へ少く有る者は少く與へ各人その獲たる產業にしたがひてその邑々を之に與ふべし
And the cities which all of you shall give shall be of the possession of the children of Israel: from them that have many all of you shall give many; but from them that have few all of you shall give few: every one shall give of his cities unto the Levites according to his inheritance which he inherits.
9 ヱホバまたモーセに告て言たまはく
And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
10 イスラエルの子孫に告てこれに言へ汝らヨルダンを濟りてカナンの地に入ば
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When all of you be come over Jordan into the land of Canaan;
11 汝らのために邑を設けて逃遁邑と爲し誤りて人を殺せる者をして其處に逃るべからしむべし
Then all of you shall appoint you cities to be cities of refuge for you; that the slayer may flee thither, which kills any person at unexpectedly.
12 其は汝らが仇打する者を避て逃るべき邑なり是あるは人を殺せる者が未だ會衆の前にたちて審判をうけざる先に殺さるること無らんためなり
And they shall be unto you cities for refuge from the avenger; that the murderer die not, until he stand before the congregation in judgment.
13 汝らが予ふる邑々の中六をもて逃遁邑とすべし
And of these cities which all of you shall give six cities shall all of you have for refuge.
14 すなはち汝らヨルダンの此旁において三の邑を予ヘカーナンの地において三の邑を予へて逃遁邑となすべし
All of you shall give three cities on this side Jordan, and three cities shall all of you give in the land of Canaan, which shall be cities of refuge.
15 この六の邑はイスラエルの子孫と他國人およびその中に寄寓る者の逃遁場たるべし凡て誤りて人を殺せる者は其處に逃るることを得べし
These six cities shall be a refuge, both for the children of Israel, and for the stranger, and for the sojourner among them: that every one that kills any person unexpectedly may flee thither.
16 もし鐵の器をもて人を撃て死しめなば是故殺なり故殺人はかならず殺さるべし
And if he strike him with an instrument of iron, so that he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.
17 もし人を殺すほどの石を執て人を撃て死しめなば是故殺なり故殺人はかならず殺さるべし
And if he strike him with throwing a stone, wherewith he may die, and he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.
18 また人を殺すほどの木の器をとりて人を撃て死しめなば是故殺なり故殺人はかならず殺さるべし
Or if he strike him with an hand weapon of wood, wherewith he may die, and he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.
19 仇を打つ者その故殺人を殺すことを得すなはち之に遭ふところにて之を殺すことを得るなり
The revenger of blood himself shall slay the murderer: when he meet him, he shall slay him.
20 もしまた怨恨のために人を推しまたは意ありて人に物を投うちて死しめ
But if he thrust him of hatred, or hurl at him by laying of wait, that he die;
21 または敵の心を挾さみ手をもて人を撃て死しめなばその人を撃たる者は必ず殺さるべし是故殺なればなり仇を打つ者これに遭ふところにて之を殺すことを得べし
Or in enmity strike him with his hand, that he die: he that stroke him shall surely be put to death; for he is a murderer: the revenger of blood shall slay the murderer, when he meet him.
22 然どもし敵の心なくして思はず人を推しまたは意なくして人に物を擲ち
But if he thrust him suddenly without enmity, or have cast upon him any thing without laying of wait,
23 または人あるを見ずして人を殺すほどの石を之に投つけて死しむること有んにその人これが敵にもあらずまた之を害せんとせしにもあらざる時は
Or with any stone, wherewith a man may die, seeing him not, and cast it upon him, that he die, and was not his enemy, neither sought his harm:
24 會衆この律法によりてその人を殺せる者と仇打する者とに審判を言わたすべし
Then the congregation shall judge between the slayer and the revenger of blood according to these judgments:
25 即ち會衆はその人を殺せる者を仇打する者の手より救ひ出してこれをその逃れゆきたる逃遁邑に還すべしその者は聖膏を灌れたる祭司の長の死るまで其處に居べし
And the congregation shall deliver the slayer out of the hand of the revenger of blood, and the congregation shall restore him to the city of his refuge, where he was fled: and he shall abide in it unto the death of the high priest, which was anointed with the holy oil.
26 然ど人を殺しし者その逃れし逃遁邑の境を出でたらんに
But if the slayer shall at any time come without the border of the city of his refuge, where he was fled;
27 仇打する者その逃遁邑の境の外にてこれに遭ことありて仇打する者すなはちその人を殺しし者を殺すことあるとも血をながせる罪あらじ
And the revenger of blood find him without the borders of the city of his refuge, and the revenger of blood kill the slayer; he shall not be guilty of blood:
28 其は彼は祭司の長の死るまでその逃遁邑に居べき者なればなり祭司の長の死たる後はその人を殺せし者おのれの產業の地にかへることを得べし
Because he should have remained in the city of his refuge until the death of the high priest: but after the death of the high priest the slayer shall return into the land of his possession.
29 汝ら代々その住所において之を審判の法度とすべし
So these things shall be for a statute of judgment unto you throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
30 凡て人を殺せる者すなはち故殺人は證人の口にしたがひて殺さるべし然ど只一人の證人の言にしたがひて人を殺すことを爲べからず
Whoso kills any person, the murderer shall be put to death by the mouth of witnesses: but one witness shall not testify against any person to cause him to die.
31 汝ら死に當る故殺人の生命を贖はしむべからず必ずこれを殺すべし
Moreover all of you shall take no satisfaction for the life of a murderer, which is guilty of death: but he shall be surely put to death.
32 また逃遁邑に逃れたる者の贖を容て祭司の死ざる前にこれを自己の地に歸り住しむる勿れ
And all of you shall take no satisfaction for him that is fled to the city of his refuge, that he should come again to dwell in the land, until the death of the priest.
33 汝らその居ところの地を汚すべからず血は地を汚すなり地の上に流せる血は之を流せる者の血をもてするに非れば贖ふことを得ざるなり
So all of you shall not pollute the land wherein all of you are: for blood it defiles the land: and the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it.
34 汝らその住ところの地すなはち我が居ところの地を汚すなかれ其は我ヱホバ、イスラエルの子孫の中に居ばなり
Defile not therefore the land which all of you shall inhabit, wherein I dwell: for I the LORD dwell among the children of Israel.
