士師記 16
1 サムソン、ガザに往きかしこにて一人の妓を見てそれの處に入しに
Then went Samson to Gaza, and saw there an harlot, and went in unto her.
2 サムソンここに來れりとガザ人につぐるものありければすなはち之を取り圍みよもすがら邑の門に埋伏し詰朝におよび夜の明たる時に之をころすべしといひてよもすがら靜まりかへりて居る
And it was told the Gazites, saying, Samson has come here. And they compassed him in, and laid wait for him all night in the gate of the city, and were quiet all the night, saying, In the morning, when it is day, we shall kill him.
3 サムソン夜半までいね夜半にいたりて興き邑の門の扉とふたつの柱に手をかけて楗もろともに之をひきぬき肩に載てヘブロンの向ひなる山の巓に負のぼれり
And Samson lay till midnight, and arose at midnight, and took the doors of the gate of the city, and the two posts, and went away with them, bar and all, and put them upon his shoulders, and carried them up to the top of an hill that is before Hebron.
4 こののちサムソン、ソレクの谷に居る名はデリラと言ふ婦人を愛す
And it came to pass afterward, that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah.
5 ペリシテ人の群伯その婦のもとに上り來て之にいひけるは汝サムソンを説すすめてその大いなる力は何に在るかまたわれら如何にせば之に勝て之を縛りくるしむるを得べきかを見出せ然すればわれらおのおの銀千百枚づつをなんぢに與ふべし
And the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and said unto her, Entice him, and see wherein his great strength lies, and by what means we may prevail against him, that we may bind him to afflict him; and we will give you every one of us eleven hundred pieces of silver.
6 ここにおいてデリラ、サムソンにいひけるは汝の大なる力は何にあるかまた如何せば汝を縛りて苦むることを得るや請ふ之をわれにつげよ
And Delilah said to Samson, Tell me, I pray you, wherein your great strength lies, and wherewith you might be bound to afflict you.
7 サムソン之にいひけるは人もし乾きしことなき七條の新しき繩をもてわれを縛るときはわれ弱くなりて別の人のごとくならんと
And Samson said unto her, If they bind me with seven green withes that were never dried, then shall I be weak, and be as another man.
8 ここに於てペリシテ人の群伯乾きしことなき七條の新しき繩を婦にもち來りければ婦之を以てサムソンをしばりしが
Then the lords of the Philistines brought up to her seven green withes which had not been dried, and she bound him with them.
9 かねて室のうちに人しのび居て己とともにありたれば斯してサムソンにむかひサムソンよペリシテ人汝に及ぶと言にサムソンすなはちその索を絶りあたかも麻絲の火にあひて斷るるがごとし斯其の力の原由知れざりき
Now there were men lying in wait, abiding with her in the chamber. And she said unto him, The Philistines be upon you, Samson. And he brake the withes, as a thread of tow is broken when it touches the fire. So his strength was not known.
10 デリラ、サムソンにいひけるは視よ汝われを欺きてわれに謊を告たり請ふ何をもてせば汝を縛ることをうるや今我に告よ
And Delilah said unto Samson, Behold, you have mocked me, and told me lies: now tell me, I pray you, wherewith you might be bound.
11 彼之にいひけるはもし人用ひたることなき新しき索をもてわれを縛りいましめなばわれ弱くなりて別の人のごとくならんと
And he said unto her, If they bind me fast with new ropes that never were occupied, then shall I be weak, and be as another man.
12 是をもてデリラあたらしき索をとり其をもて彼を縛りしかして彼にいふサムソンよペリシテ人汝におよぶと時に室のうちに人しのび居たりしがサムソン絲の如くにその索を腕より絶おとせり
Delilah therefore took new ropes, and bound him therewith, and said unto him, The Philistines be upon you, Samson. And there were hidden attackers in wait abiding in the chamber. And he brake them from off his arms like a thread.
13 デリラ、サムソンにいひけるに今までは汝われを欺きて我に謊をつげたるが何をもてせば汝をしばることをうるやわれに告よと彼之にいひけるは汝もしわが髮毛七繚を機の緯線とともに織ばすなはち可しと
And Delilah said unto Samson, Until now you have mocked me, and told me lies: tell me wherewith you might be bound. And he said unto her, If you weave the seven locks of my head with the web.
14 婦すなはち釘をもて之をとめおきて彼にいひけるはサムソンよペリシテ人汝におよぶとサムソンすなはちその寢をさまし織機の釘と緯線とを曳拔り
And she fastened it with the pin, and said unto him, The Philistines be upon you, Samson. And he awaked out of his sleep, and went away with the pin of the beam, and with the web.
15 婦ここにおいてサムソンにいひけるは汝の心われに居ざるに汝いかでわれを愛すといふや汝すでに三次われをあざむきて汝が大なる力の何にあるかをわれに告ずと
And she said unto him, How can you say, I love you, when your heart is not with me? you have mocked me these three times, and have not told me wherein your great strength lies.
16 日々にその言をもて之にせまりうながして彼の心を死るばかりに苦ませたれば
And it came to pass, when she pressed him daily with her words, and urged him, so that his soul was vexed unto death;
17 彼つひにその心をことごとく打明して之にいひけるはわが頭にはいまだかつて剃刀を當しことあらずそはわれ母の胎を出るよりして神のナザレ人たればなりもしわれ髮をそりおとされなばわが力われをはなれわれは弱くなりて別の人のごとくならんと
That he told her all his heart, and said unto her, There has not come a razor upon mine head; for I have been a Nazarite unto God from my mother's womb: if I be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man.
18 デリラ、サムソンがことごとく其のこころを明したるを見人をつかはしてペリシテ人の群伯を召ていひけるはサムソンことごとくその心をわれに明したれば今ひとたび上り來るべしとここにおいてペリシテ人の群伯かの銀を携へて婦のもとにいたる
And when Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, Come up this once, for he has showed me all his heart. Then the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and brought money in their hand.
19 婦おのが膝のうへにサムソンをねむらせ人をよびてその頭髮七繚をきりおとさしめ之を苦めはじめたるにその力すでにうせさりてあり
And she made him sleep upon her knees; and she called for a man, and she caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head; and she began to afflict him, and his strength went from him.
20 婦ここにおいてサムソンよペリシテ人汝におよぶといひければ彼睡眠をさましていひけるはわれ毎のごとく出て身を振はさんと彼はヱホバのおのれをはなれたまひしを覺らざりき
And she said, The Philistines be upon you, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself. And he knows not that the LORD was departed from him.
21 ペリシテ人すなはち彼を執へ眼を抉りて之をガザにひき下り銅の鏈をもて之を繋げりかくてサムソンは囚獄のうちに磨を挽居たりしが
But the Philistines took him, and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did grind in the prison house.
22 その髮の毛剃りおとされてのち復長はじめたり
Nevertheless the hair of his head began to grow again after he was shaven.
23 茲にペリシテ人の群伯共にあつまりてその神ダゴンに大なる祭物をささげて祝をなさんとしすなはち言ふわれらの神はわれらの敵サムソンをわれらの手に付したりと
Then the lords of the Philistines gathered them together in order to offer a great sacrifice unto Dagon their god, and to rejoice: for they said, Our god has delivered Samson our enemy into our hand.
24 民サムソンを見ておのれの神をほめたたへて言ふわれらの神はわれらの敵たる者われらの地を荒せしものわれらを數多殺せしものをわれらの手に付したりと
And when the people saw him, they praised their god: for they said, Our god has delivered into our hands our enemy, and the destroyer of our country, which slew many of us.
25 その心に喜びていひけるはサムソンを召てわれらのために戲技をなさしめよとて囚獄よりサムソンを召いだせしかばサムソン之がために戲技をなせり彼等サムソンを柱の間に立しめしに
And it came to pass, when their hearts were merry, that they said, Call for Samson, that he may make us sport. And they called for Samson out of the prison house; and he made them sport: and they set him between the pillars.
26 サムソンおのが手をひきをる少者にいひけるはわれをはなして此家の倚て立ところの柱をさぐりて之に倚しめよと
And Samson said unto the lad that held him by the hand, Suffer me that I may feel the pillars whereupon the house stands, that I may lean upon them.
27 その家には男女充ちペリシテ人の群伯もまたみな其處に居る又屋蓋のうへには三千ばかりの男女をりてサムソンの戲技をなすを觀てありき
Now the house was full of men and women; and all the lords of the Philistines were there; and there were upon the roof about three thousand men and women, that beheld while Samson made sport.
28 時にサムソン、ヱホバに呼はりいひけるはああ主ヱホバよねがはくは我を記念えたまへ嗚呼神よ願くは唯今一度われを強くしてわがふたつの眼のひとつのためにだにもペリシテ人に仇をむくいしめたまへと
And Samson called unto the LORD, and said, O Lord God, remember me, I pray you, and strengthen me, I pray you, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.
29 サムソンすなはちその家の倚てたつところの兩箇の中柱のひとつを右の手ひとつを左の手にかかへて身をこれによせたりしが
And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars upon which the house stood, and on which it was borne up, of the one with his right hand, and of the other with his left.
30 サムソン我はペリシテ人とともに死なんといひて力をきはめて身をかがめたれば家はそのなかに居る群伯とすべての民のうへに倒れたりかくサムソンが死るときに殺せしものは生けるときに殺せし者よりもおほかりき
And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with all his might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life.
31 こののちサムソンの兄弟およびその父の家族ことごとく下りて之を取り携へのぼりてゾラとエシタオルのあひだなる其の父マノアの墓にはうむれりサムソンがイスラエルをさばきしは二十年なりき
Then his brethren and all the house of his father came down, and took him, and brought him up, and buried him between Zorah and Eshtaol in the buryingplace of Manoah his father. And he judged Israel twenty years.
