ヨブ 記 42

1 ヨブ是に於てヱホバに答へて曰く

Then Job answered the LORD, and said,

2 我知る汝は一切の事をなすを得たまふ また如何なる意志にても成あたはざる無し

I know that you can do every thing, and that no thought can be withheld from you.

3 無知をもて道を蔽ふ者は誰ぞや 斯われは自ら了解らざる事を言ひ 自ら知ざる測り難き事を述たり

Who is he that hides counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.

4 請ふ聽たまへ 我言ふところあらん 我なんぢに問まつらん 我に答へたまへ

Hear, I plead to you, and I will speak: I will demand of you, and declare you unto me.

5 われ汝の事を耳にて聞ゐたりしが今は目をもて汝を見たてまつる

I have heard of you by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye sees you.

6 是をもて我みづから恨み 塵灰の中にて悔ゆ

Wherefore I detest myself, and repent in dust and ashes.

7 ヱホバ是等の言語をヨブに語りたまひて後ヱホバ、テマン人エリパズに言たまひけるは我なんぢと汝の二人の友を怒る 其はなんぢらが我に關て言述べたるところはわが僕ヨブの言たることのごとく正當からざればなり

And it was so, that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against you, and against your two friends: for all of you have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job has.

8 然ば汝ら牡牛七頭 牡羊七頭を取てわが僕ヨブに至り汝らの身のために燔祭を獻げよ わが僕ヨブなんぢらのために祈らん われかれを嘉納べければ之によりて汝らの愚を罰せざらん 汝らの我について言述たるところは我僕ヨブの言たることのごとく正當からざればなり

Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you after your folly, in that all of you have not spoken of me the thing which is right, like my servant Job.

9 是においてテマン人エリパズ、シユヒ人ビルダデ、ナアマ人ゾパル往てヱホバの自己に宣まひしごとく爲ければヱホバすなはちヨブを嘉納たまへり

So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as the LORD commanded them: the LORD also accepted Job.

10 ヨブその友のために祈れる時 ヱホバ、ヨブの艱難をときて舊に復ししかしてヱホバつひにヨブの所有物を二倍に増たまへり

And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.

11 是において彼の諸の兄弟諸の姉妹およびその舊相識る者等ことごとく來りて彼とともにその家にて飮食を爲しかつヱホバの彼に降したまひし一切の災難につきて彼をいたはり慰さめ また各金一ケセタと金の環一箇を之に贈れり

Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold.

12 ヱホバかくのごとくヨブをめぐみてその終を初よりも善したまへり 即ち彼は綿羊一萬四千匹 駱駝六千匹 牛一千軛 牝驢馬一千匹を有り

So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.

13 また男子七人 女子三人ありき

He had also seven sons and three daughters.

14 かれその第一の女をエミマと名け第二をケジアと名け 第三をケレンハツプクと名けたり

And he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the name of the second, Kezia; and the name of the third, Kerenhappuch.

15 全國の中にてヨブの女子等ほど美しき婦人は見えざりき その父之にその兄弟等とおなじく產業をあたへたり

And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren.

16 この後ヨブは百四十年いきながらへてその子その孫と四代までを見たり

After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, even four generations.

17 かくヨブは年老い日滿て死たりき

So Job died, being old and full of days.
