ヨブ 記 26
1 ヨブこたへて曰く
But Job answered and said,
2 なんぢ能力なき者を如何に助けしや 氣力なきものを如何に救ひしや
How have you helped him that is without power? how save you the arm that has no strength?
3 智慧なき者を如何に誨へしや 穎悟の道を如何に多く示ししや
How have you counselled him that has no wisdom? and how have you plentifully declared the thing as it is?
4 なんぢ誰にむかひて言語を出ししや なんぢより出しは誰が靈なるや
To whom have you uttered words? and whose spirit came from you?
5 陰靈水またその中に居る者の下に慄ふ
Dead things are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof.
Hell is naked before him, and destruction has no covering. (Sheol h7585)
7 彼は北の天を虚空に張り 地を物なき所に懸けたまふ
He stretches out the north over the empty place, and hangs the earth upon nothing.
8 水を濃雲の中に包みたまふてその下の雲裂ず
He binds up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them.
9 御寳座の面を隱して雲をその上に展べ
He holds back the face of his throne, and spreads his cloud upon it.
10 水の面に界を設けて光と暗とに限を立たまふ
He has compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.
11 かれ叱咤たまへば天の柱震ひかつ怖る
The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.
12 その權能をもて海を靜め その智慧をもてラハブを撃碎き
He divides the sea with his power, and by his understanding he strikes through the proud.
13 その氣嘘をもて天を輝かせ 其手をもて逃る蛇を衝とほしたまふ
By his spirit he has garnished the heavens; his hand has formed the crooked serpent.
14 視よ是等はただその御工作の端なるのみ 我らが聞ところの者は如何にも微細なる耳語ならずや 然どその權能の雷轟に至りては誰かこれを曉らんや
Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?
