イザヤ書 22
1 異象の谷にかかる重負のよげん 曰く／なんぢら何故にみな屋蓋にのぼれるか
The burden of the Valley of Vision. What ails you now, that you have all gone up to the housetops?
2 汝はさわがしく喧すしき邑ほこりたのしむ邑 なんぢのうちの殺されたるものは劍をもて殺されしにあらず 亦たたかひにて死しにもあらず
You that are full of shouting, a tumultuous city, a joyous town; your slain are not slain with the sword, neither are they dead in battle.
3 なんぢの有司はみな共にのがれゆきしかど弓士にいましめられ 汝の民はとほくにげゆきしかど見出されて皆ともに縛められたり
All your rulers fled away together. They were bound by the archers. All who were found by you were bound together. They fled far away.
4 この故にわれいふ回顧てわれを見るなかれ 我いたく哭かなしまん わが民のむすめの害はれたるによりて我をなぐさめんと勉むるなかれ
Therefore I said, "Look away from me. I will weep bitterly. Do not labor to comfort me for the destruction of the daughter of my people.
5 そは主萬軍のヱホバ異象のたにに騒亂ふみにじり惶惑の日をきたらせたまふ 垣はくづれ號呼のこゑは山々にきこゆ
For it is a day of confusion, and of treading down, and of perplexity, from the LORD of hosts, in the Valley of Vision; a breaking down of the walls, and a crying to the mountains."
6 エラムは箙をおひたり 歩兵と騎兵とありキルは盾をあらはせり
Elam carried his quiver, with chariots of men and horsemen; and Kir uncovered the shield.
7 かくて戰車はなんぢの美しき谷にみち 騎兵はその門にむかひてつらなれり
It happened that your choicest valleys were full of chariots, and the horsemen set themselves in array at the gate.
8 ユダの庇護はのぞかる その日なんぢは林のいへの武具をあふぎのぞめり
He took away the covering of Judah; and you looked in that day to the armor in the house of the forest.
9 なんぢらダビデのまちの壞おほきを見る なんぢら下のいけの水をあつめ
You saw the breaches of the City of David, that they were many; and you gathered together the waters of the lower pool.
10 またヱルサレムの家をかぞへ且その家をこぼちて垣をかたくし
You numbered the houses of Jerusalem, and you broke down the houses to fortify the wall.
11 一つの水坑をかきとかきとの間につくりて古池の水をひけりされどこの事をなし給へるものを仰望まず この事をむかしより營みたまへる者をかへりみざりき
You also made a reservoir between the two walls for the water of the old pool. But you did not look to him who had done this, neither did you have respect for him who purposed it long ago.
12 その日主萬軍のヱホバ命じて哭かなしみ首をかぶろにし麁服をまとへと仰せたまひしかど
In that day the LORD of hosts called for weeping and for mourning, for shaved heads, and for the wearing of sackcloth.
13 なんぢらは喜びたのしみ牛をほふり羊をころし肉をくらひ酒をのみていふ 我儕くらひ且のむべし明日はしぬべければなりと
But look, joy and gladness, killing cattle and killing sheep, eating flesh and drinking wine: "Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we will die."
14 萬軍のヱホバ默示をわが耳にきかしめたまはく まことにこの邪曲はなんぢらが死にいたるまで除き清めらるるを得ずと これ主萬軍のヱホバのみことばなり
The LORD of hosts revealed himself in my ears, "Surely this iniquity will not be forgiven you until you die," says the LORD of hosts.
15 主ばんぐんのヱホバ如此のたまふ ゆけ宮ををさめ庫をつかさどるセブナにゆきていへ
Thus says the LORD of hosts, "Come, go to this steward, to Shebna, who is in charge of the house, and say,
16 なんぢここに何のかかはりありや また茲にいかなる人のありとして己がために墓をほりしや 彼はたかきところに墓をほり磐をうがちて己がために住所をつくれり
'What are you doing here, and whom have you here, that you have dug out a tomb here?' Cutting himself out a tomb on high, chiseling a habitation for himself in the rock."
17 視よヱホバはつよき人のなげうつ如くに汝をなげうち給はん
Look, the LORD will overcome you and hurl you away violently. Yes, he will grasp you firmly.
18 なんぢを包みかためふりまはして闊かなる地に球のごとくなげいだしたまはん 主人のいへの恥となるものよ汝そこにて死そのえいぐわの車もそこにあらん
He will surely wind you around and around, and throw you like a ball into a large country. There you will die, and there the chariots of your glory will be, you shame of your lord's house.
19 我なんぢをその職よりおひその位よりひきおとさん
I will thrust you from your office. You will be pulled down from your station.
20 その日われわが僕ヒルキヤの子エリアキムを召て
It will happen in that day that I will call my servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah,
21 なんぢの衣をきせ汝の帶をもて固め なんぢの政權をその手にゆだぬべし 斯て彼ヱルサレムの民とユダの家とに父とならん
and I will clothe him with your robe, and strengthen him with your belt. I will commit your government into his hand; and he will be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.
22 我またダビデのいへの鑰をその肩におかん 彼あくればとづるものなく彼とづればあくるものなし
I will lay the key of the house of David on his shoulder. He will open, and no one will shut. He will shut, and no one will open.
23 我かれをたてて堅處にうちし釘のごとくすべし 而してかれはその父の家のさかえの位とならん
I will fasten him like a nail in a sure place. He will be for a throne of glory to his father's house.
24 その父の家のもろもろの榮は彼がうへに懸る その子その孫およびすべての器のちひさきもの皿より瓶子にいたるまでも然らざるなし
They will hang on him all the glory of his father's house, the offspring and the issue, every small vessel, from the cups even to all the pitchers.
25 萬軍のヱホバのたまはくその日かたき處にうちたる釘はぬけいで斫れておちん そのうへにかかれる負もまた絶るべし こはヱホバ語り給へるなり
"In that day," says the LORD of hosts, "the nail that was fastened in a sure place will give way. It will be cut down, and fall. The burden that was on it will be cut off, for the LORD has spoken it."
