イザヤ書 20

1 アツスリヤのサルゴン王タルタンを遣してアシドドにゆかしむ 彼がアシドドを攻てとりし年にあたり

In the year that Tartan came unto Ashdod, (when Sargon the king of Assyria sent him, ) and fought against Ashdod, and took it;

2 この時ヱホバ、アモツの子イザヤに托てかたりたまはく 往なんぢの腰よりあらたへの衣をとき汝の足より履をぬげ ここに於てかれその如くなし赤裸跣足にて歩めり

At the same time spoke the LORD by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go and loose the sackcloth from off your loins, and put off your shoe from your foot. And he did so, walking naked and barefoot.

3 ヱホバ言給く わが僕イザヤは三年の間はだかはだしにてあゆみ エジプトとエテオピアとの豫兆となり奇しき標となりたり

And the LORD said, Like my servant Isaiah has walked naked and barefoot three years for a sign and wonder upon Egypt and upon Ethiopia;

4 斯のごとくエジプトの虜とエテオピアの俘囚とはアツスリヤの王にひきゆかれ その若きも老たるもみな赤裸跣足にて臀までもあらはしエジプトの恥をしめすべし

So shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians prisoners, and the Ethiopians captives, young and old, naked and barefoot, even with their buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt.

5 かれらはその恃とせるエテオピアその誇とせるエジプトのゆゑをもて懼れはぢん

And they shall be afraid and ashamed of Ethiopia their expectation, and of Egypt their glory.

6 その日この濱邊の民いはん 視よ われらの恃とせる國われらが遁れゆきて助をもとめアツスリヤ王の手より救出されんとせし國すでに斯のごとし 我儕はいかにして脱かるるを得んやと

And the inhabitant of this isle shall say in that day, Behold, such is our expectation, where we flee for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria: and how shall we escape?
