創世記 17

1 アブラム九十九歳の時ヱホバ、アブラムに顯れて之に言たまひけるは我は全能の神なり汝我前に行みて完全かれよ

And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be you perfect.

2 我わが契約を我と汝の間に立て大に汝の子孫を増ん

And I will make my covenant between me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly.

3 アブラム乃ち俯伏たり神又彼に告て言たまひけるは

And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,

4 我汝とわが契約を立つ汝は衆多の國民の父となるべし

As for me, behold, my covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations.

5 汝の名を此後アブラムと呼ぶべからず汝の名をアブラハム(衆多の人の父)とよぶべし其は我汝を衆多の國民の父と爲ばなり

Neither shall your name any more be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made you.

6 我汝をして衆多の子孫を得せしめ國々の民を汝より起さん王等汝より出べし

And I will make you exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come out of you.

7 我わが契約を我と汝および汝の後の世々の子孫との間に立て永久の契約となし汝および汝の後の子孫の神となるべし

And I will establish my covenant between me and you and your seed after you in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto you, and to your seed after you.

8 我汝と汝の後の子孫に此汝が寄寓る地即ちカナンの全地を與へて永久の產業となさん而して我彼等の神となるべし

And I will give unto you, and to your seed after you, the land wherein you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.

9 神またアブラハムに言たまひけるは然ば汝と汝の後の世々の子孫わが契約を守るべし

And God said unto Abraham, You shall keep my covenant therefore, you, and your seed after you in their generations.

10 汝等の中の男子は咸割禮を受べし是は我と汝等および汝の後の子孫の間の我が契約にして汝等の守るべき者なり

This is my covenant, which all of you shall keep, between me and you and your seed after you; Every male child among you shall be circumcised.

11 汝等其陽の皮を割べし是我と汝等の間の契約の徴なり

And all of you shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant between me and you.

12 汝等の代々の男子は家に生れたる者も異邦人より金にて買たる汝の子孫ならざる者も皆生れて八日に至らば割禮を受べし

And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every male child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of your seed.

13 汝の家に生れたる者も汝の金にて買たる者も割禮を受ざるべからず斯我契約汝等の身にありて永久の契約となるべし

He that is born in your house, and he that is bought with your money, must essentially be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.

14 割禮を受ざる男兒即ち其陽の皮を割ざる者は我契約を破るによりて其人其民の中より絶るべし

And the uncircumcised male child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he has broken my covenant.

15 神又アブラハムの言たまひけるは汝の妻サライは其名をサライと稱ぶべからず其名をサラと爲べし

And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.

16 我彼を祝み彼よりして亦汝に一人の男子を授けん我彼を祝み彼をして諸邦の民の母とならしむべし諸の民の王等彼より出べし

And I will bless her, and give you a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.

17 アブラハム俯伏て哂ひ其心に謂けるは百歳の人に豈で子の生るることあらんや又サラは九十歳なれば豈で產ことをなさんやと

Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?

18 アブラハム遂に神にむかひて願くはイシマエルの汝のまへに生存へんことをと曰ふ

And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before you!

19 神言たまひけるは汝の妻サラ必ず子を生ん汝其名をイサクと名くべし我彼および其後の子孫と契約を立て永久の契約となさん

And God said, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son indeed; and you shall call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.

20 又イシマエルの事に關ては我汝の願を聽たり視よ我彼を祝みて多衆の子孫を得さしめ大に彼の子孫を増すべし彼十二の君王を生ん我彼を大なる國民となすべし

And as for Ishmael, I have heard you: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he brought forth, and I will make him a great nation.

21 然どわが契約は我翌年の今頃サラが汝に生ん所のイサクと之を立べし

But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto you at this set time in the next year.

22 神アブラハムと言ことを竟へ彼を離れて昇り給へり

And he left off talking with him, and God went up from Abraham.

23 是に於てアブラハム神の己に言たまへる如く此日其子イシマエルと凡て其家に生れたる者および凡て其金にて買たる者即ちアブラハムの家の人の中なる諸の男を將きたりて其陽の皮を割たり

And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham's house; and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the very same day, as God had said unto him.

24 アブラハムは其陽の皮を割れたる時九十九歳

And Abraham was ninety years old and nine, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

25 其子イシマエルは其陽の皮を割れたる時十三歳なりき

And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

26 是日アブラハムと其子イシマエル割禮を受たり

In the very same day was Abraham circumcised, and Ishmael his son.

27 又其家の人家に生れたる者も金にて異邦人より買たる者も皆彼とともに割禮を受たり

And all the men of his house, born in the house, and bought with money of the stranger, were circumcised with him.
