ダニエル書 12

1 その時汝の民の人々のために立ところの大なる君ミカエル起あがらん是艱難の時なり國ありてより以來その時にいたるまで斯る艱難ありし事なかるべしその時汝の民は救はれん即ち書にしるされたる者はみな救はれん

And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which stands for the children of your people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time your people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

2 また地の下に睡りをる者の中衆多の者目を醒さんその中永生を得る者ありまた恥辱を蒙りて限なく羞る者あるべし

And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

3 穎悟者は空の光輝のごとくに耀かんまた衆多の人を義に導ける者は星のごとくなりて永遠にいたらん

And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

4 ダニエルよ終末の時まで此言を秘し此書を封じおけ衆多の者跋渉らん而して知識増べしと

But you, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run back and forth, and knowledge shall be increased.

5 茲に我ダニエル觀に別にまた二箇の者ありて一箇は河の此旁の岸にあり一箇は河の彼旁の岸にありけるが

Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.

6 その一箇の者かの布の衣を衣て河の水の上に立る人にむかひて言り此奇跡は何の時にいたりて終るべきやと

And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?

7 我聞にかの布の衣を衣て河の水の上に立る人天にむかひてその右の手と左の手を擧げ永久に生る者を指て誓ひて言りその間は一時と二時と半時なり聖民の手の碎くること終らん時に是等の事みな終るべしと

And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and swore by him that lives for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

8 我聞たれども暁ることを得ざりき我また言りわが主よ是等の事の終は何ぞやと

And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?

9 彼いひけるはダニエルよ往け此言は終極の時まで秘しかつ封じ置るべし

And he said, Go your way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

10 衆多の者淨められ潔よくせられ試みられん然ど惡き者は惡き事を行はん惡き者は一人も暁ること無るべし然ど頴悟者は暁るべし

Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

11 常供の者を除き殘暴可惡者を立ん時よりして一千二百九十日あらん

And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that makes desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

12 待をりて一千三百三十五日に至る者は幸福なり

Blessed is he that waits, and comes to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.

13 汝終りに進み行け汝は安息に入り日の終りに至り起て汝の分を享ん

But go you your way till the end be: for you shall rest, and stand in your lot at the end of the days.
