歴代誌Ⅰ 11

1 茲にイスラエルの人みなヘブロンに集まりてダビデの許に詣り言けるは我らは汝の骨肉なり

Then all Israel gathered together to David at Hebron, saying, "Look, we are your bone and your flesh.

2 前にサウルが王たりし時にも汝はイスラエルを率ゐで出入する者なりき又なんぢの神ヱホバ汝にむかひて汝はわが民イスラエルを牧養ふ者となり我民イスラエルの君とならんと言たまへりと

In times past, even when Saul was king, it was you who led out and brought in Israel. YHWH your God said to you, 'You shall be shepherd of my people Israel, and you shall rule over my people Israel.'"

3 斯イスラエルの長老みなヘブロンにきたりて王の許にいたりければダビデ、ヘブロンにてヱホバの前に彼らと契約をたてたり彼らすなはちダビデに膏をそそぎてイスラエルの王となしサムエルによりて傳はりしヱホバの言のごとくせり

So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before YHWH; and they anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of YHWH by Samuel.

4 かくてダビデはイスラエルの人々を率ゐてエルサレムに往りヱルサレムは即ちヱブスなりその國の土人ヱブス人其處に居り

David and all Israel went to Jerusalem (that is, Jebus); and the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land, were there.

5 是においてヱブスの民ダビデに言けるは汝は此に入べからずと然るにダビデはシオンの城を取り是すなはちダビデの邑なり

The inhabitants of Jebus said to David, "You shall not come in here." Nevertheless David took the stronghold of Zion, that is, the City of David.

6 この時ダビデいひけるは誰にもあれ第一にエブス人を撃やぶる者を首となし將となさんと斯てゼルヤの子ヨアブ先登して首となれり

David said, "Whoever strikes the Jebusites first shall be chief and captain." Joab the son of Zeruiah went up first, and was made chief.

7 ダビデその城に住たればこれをダビデの邑と稱へたり

David lived in the stronghold; therefore they called it the City of David.

8 ダビデまたその邑の四方すなはちミロ(城塞)より内の四方に建築をなせり邑の中のその餘の處はヨアブこれを修理へり

He built the city all around, from the Millo even around; and Joab repaired the rest of the city.

9 斯てダビデはますます大になりゆけり萬軍のヱホバこれとともに在したればなり

David grew greater and greater; for YHWH of hosts was with him.

10 ダビデが有る勇士の重なる者は左のごとし是等はイスラエルの一切の人とともにダビデに力をそへて國を得させ終にこれを王となしてヱホバがイスラエルにつきて宣ひし言を果せり

Now these are the chief of the warriors whom David had, who gave him strong support in his kingdom, together with all Israel, to make him king, according to the word of YHWH concerning Israel.

11 ダビデの有る勇士の數は是のごとし第一は三十人の長たるハクモニ人の子ヤシヨベアム彼は槍を揮ひて一時に三百人を衝殺せし事あり

This is the number of the warriors whom David had: Jeshbaal the son of Hachmoni, leader of the Three. And he wielded his spear against eight hundred and killed them at one time.

12 彼の次はアホア人ドドの子エレアザルにして三勇士の中なり

After him was Eleazar the son of Dodo, the Ahohite, who was one of the Three warriors.

13 彼ダビデとともにパスダミムに在けるにペリシテ人其處に集りきて戰へり其處に大麥の滿たる地一箇所あり時に民ペリシテ人の前より逃たりしが

He was with David at Pas Dammim, and there the Philistines were gathered together to battle, where there was a plot of ground full of barley; and the people fled from before the Philistines.

14 彼その地所の中に踐とどまり之を護りてペリシテ人を殺せり而してヱホバ大なる拯救をほどこして之を救ひたまへり

And he took his stand in the midst of the plot, and defended it, and killed the Philistines; and YHWH saved them by a great victory.

15 三十人の長なる三人の者アドラムの洞穴に下り磐の處に往てダビデに詣りし事あり時にペリシテ人の軍兵はレパイムの谷に陣どれり

And three of the Thirty chief men went down to the rock to David, into the cave of Adullam; and the army of the Philistines were camped in the Valley of Rephaim.

16 その時ダビデは砦に居りペリシテ人の鎮臺兵はベテレヘムにありけるが

David was then in the stronghold, and the garrison of the Philistines was then in Bethlehem.

17 ダビデ慕ひ望みて言けるは誰かベテレヘムの門にある井の水を持來りて我に飮せよかし

And David had a craving and said, "Oh that one would give me water to drink of the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate."

18 この三人すなはちペリシテ人の軍兵の中を衝とほりてベテレヘムの門にある井の水を汲取てダビデの許に携へきたれり然どダビデこれを飮ことをせす之をヱホバの前に灌ぎて

The Three broke through the army of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: but David would not drink of it, but poured it out to YHWH,

19 言けるは我神よ我決てこれを爲じ我いかで命をかけし此三人の血を飮べけんやと彼らその命をかけて之を携へきたりたればなり故にダビデこれを飮ことを爲ざりき此三勇士は是らの事を爲り

and said, "My God forbid it me, that I should do this. Shall I drink the blood of these men who have put their lives in jeopardy?" For they risked their lives to bring it. Therefore he would not drink it. The Three warriors did these things.

20 ヨアブの兄弟アビシヤイは三人の長たり彼は槍を揮ひて三百人を衝ころし三人の中に名を得たり

And Abishai, the brother of Joab, was leader of the Thirty. And he wielded his spear against three hundred and killed them, and had a name beside the Three.

21 彼は第二の三人の中にて尤も貴くしてその首にせらる然ど第一の三人には及ばざりき

He was the most illustrious of the Thirty, and he became their leader. However, he did not attain to the Three.

22 ヱホヤダの子カブジエルのベナヤは勇氣あり衆多の功績ありし者なり彼はモアブのアリエルの二人の子を撃殺せりまた雪の日に下りゆきて穴の中にて獅子一匹を撃殺せし事ありき

Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was a valiant man of Kabzeel, who performed great deeds. He killed the two of Ariel of Moab. He also went down and killed a lion in the midst of a pit in time of snow.

23 彼はまた長身五キユビト程なるエジプト人を殺せりそのエジプト人は機織の滕のごとき槍を手に執をりしに彼は杖をとりて之が許に下りゆきエジプト人の手よりその槍を捩とりてその槍をもて之を殺せり

He killed an Egyptian, a man of great stature, seven feet five inches tall; and in the Egyptian's hand was a spear like a weaver's beam; and he went down to him with a staff, and grabbed the spear out of the Egyptian's hand, and killed him with his own spear.

24 ヱホヤダの子ベナヤ是等の事を爲し三勇士の中に名を得たり

Benaiah the son of Jehoiada did these things, and had a name among the Three warriors.

25 彼は三十人の中にて尊かりしかども第一の三人には及ばざりきダビデかれを親兵の長となせり

Look, he was more honored than the Thirty, but he did not attain to the Three. And David set him over his guard.

26 軍兵の中の勇士はヨアブの兄弟アサヘル、ベテレヘムのドドの子エルハナン

Also the warriors of the armies: Asahel the brother of Joab, Elhanan the son of Dodo of Bethlehem,

27 ハロデ人シヤンマ、ペロニ人ヘレヅ

Shammah the Harodite, Elika the Harodite, Helez the Paltite,

28 テコア人イツケシの子イラ、アナトテ人アビエゼル

Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite, Abiezer the Anathothite,

29 ホシヤ人シベカイ、アホア人イライ

Sibbekai the Hushathite, Zalmon the Ahohite,

30 ネトパ人マハライ、ネトパ人バナアの子ヘレデ

Maharai the Netophathite, Heled the son of Baanah the Netophathite,

31 ベニヤミンの子孫のギベアより出たるリバイの子イツタイ、ピラトン人ベナヤ

Ithai the son of Ribai of Gibeah of the people of Benjamin, Benaiah the Pirathonite,

32 ガアシの谷のホライ、アルバテ人アビエル

Hiddai of Nahale Gaash, Abiel the Arbathite,

33 バハルム人アズマウテ、シヤルボニ人エリヤバ

Azmaveth the Bahurimite, Eliahba the Shaalbinite,

34 ギゾニ人ハセム、ハラリ人シヤゲの子ヨナタン

Jashen the Gizonite, Jonathan the son of Shamma the Hararite,

35 ハラリ人サカルの子アヒアム、ウルの子エリパル

Ahiam the son of Sakar the Hararite, Eliphelet the son of Ahasbai the Maacathite,

36 メケラ人へペル、ペロニ人アヒヤ

Eliam the son of Ahithophel the Gilonite,

37 カルメル人ヘヅライ、エズバイの子ナアライ

Hezrai the Carmelite, Paarai the Archite,

38 ナタンの兄弟ヨエル、ハグリの子ミブハル

Igal the son of Nathan, from the elite troops of the Hagrites,

39 アンモニ人ゼレク、ゼルヤの子ヨアブの武器を執る者なるベエロテ人ナハライ

Zelek the Ammonite, Naharai the Beerothite, the armor bearer of Joab the son of Zeruiah,

40 エテリ人イラ、エテリ人ガレブ

Ira the Jattirite, Gareb the Jattirite,

41 ヘテ人ウリヤ、アヘライの子ザバデ

Uriah the Hethite, Zabad the son of Ahlai,

42 ルベン人シザの子アデナ是はルベン人の軍長の一人にして從者三十人を率ゐたり

Adina the son of Shiza the Reubenite, a chief of the Reubenites, and thirty with him,

43 マアカの子ハナン、ミテニ人ヨシヤバテ

Hanan the son of Maacah, and Joshaphat the Mithnite,

44 アシテラ人ウジヤ、アロエル人ホタンの子等シヤマとヱイエル

Uzzia the Ashterathite, Shama and Jeiel the sons of Hotham the Aroerite,

45 デジ人シムリの子エデアエルおよびその兄弟ヨハ、

Jediael the son of Shimri, and Joha his brother, the Tizite,

46 マハウ人エリエル、エルナアムの子等エリバイおよびヨシヤワヤ、モアブ人イテマ

Eliel the Mahavite, and Jeribai, and Joshaviah, the sons of Elnaam, and Ithmah the Moabite,

47 エリエル、オベデ、ソメバ人ヤシエル

Eliel, and Obed, and Jaasiel the Mezobaiah.
