Zaccaria 11

1 Libano, apri le tue porte, e il fuoco divori i tuoi cedri!

Open O Lebanon doors your so it may consume fire cedars your.

2 Urla, cipresso, perché il cedro è caduto, e gli alberi magnifici son devastati! Urlate, querce di Basan, perché la foresta impenetrabile è abbattuta!

Wail O cypress for it has fallen a cedar that majestic [trees] they have been devastated wail O oaks of Bashan for it has come down [the] forest (of the vintage. *QK)

3 S’odono i lamenti de’ pastori perché la loro magnificenza è devastata; s’ode il ruggito dei leoncelli perché le rive lussureggianti del Giordano son devastate.

[the] sound of [the] wailing of The shepherds for it has been devastated splendor their [the] sound of [the] roaring of young lions for it has been devastated [the] thicket[s] of the Jordan.

4 Così parla l’Eterno, il mio Dio: “Pasci le mie pecore destinate al macello,

Thus he says Yahweh God my shepherd [the] flock of slaughter.

5 che i compratori uccidono senza rendersi colpevoli, e delle quali i venditori dicono: Sia benedetto l’Eterno! Io m’arricchisco, e che i loro pastori non risparmiano affatto.

Which [those who] buy them they will kill them and not they will be held guilty and [those who] sell them he will say [be] blessed Yahweh so I may gain riches and shepherds their not he will have compassion on them.

6 Poiché io non risparmierò più gli abitanti del paese, dice l’Eterno, anzi, ecco, io abbandonerò gli uomini, ognuno in balìa del suo prossimo e in balìa del suo re; essi schiacceranno il paese, e io non libererò alcun dalle lor mani.

For not I will have compassion again on [the] inhabitants of the land [the] utterance of Yahweh and here! I [am] about to deliver everyone each in [the] hand of neighbor his and in [the] hand of king his and they will crush the land and not I will deliver [it] from hand their.

7 Allora io mi misi a pascere le pecore destinate al macello, e perciò le più misere del gregge; e mi presi due verghe; chiamai l’una Favore e l’altra Vincoli, e mi misi a pascere il gregge.

And I shepherded [the] flock of slaughter therefore [the] afflicted [ones] of the flock and I took for myself two staffs one I called Favor and one I called Union and I shepherded the flock.

8 E sterminai i tre pastori in un mese; l’anima mia perdette la pazienza con loro, e anche l’anima loro m’avea preso a sdegno.

And I annihilated [the] three the shepherds in a month one and it was short self my with them and also self their it loathed me.

9 E io dissi: “Non vi pascerò più; la moribonda muoia, quella che sta per perire perisca, e quelle che restano, divorino l’una la carne dell’altra”.

And I said not I will shepherd you the [one which] dies let it die and the [one which] is being destroyed let it be destroyed and those [which] survive let them devour each [the] flesh of [female] neighbor its.

10 E presi la mia verga Favore e la spezzai, per annullare il patto che avevo stretto con tutti i popoli.

And I took staff my Favor and I cut up it to break covenant my which I had made with all the peoples.

11 E quello fu annullato in quel giorno; e le pecore più misere del gregge che m’osservavano, conobbero che quella era la parola dell’Eterno.

And it was broken on the day that and they knew thus [the] afflicted [ones] of the flock who were watching me that [was] [the] word of Yahweh it.

12 E io dissi loro: “Se vi par bene, datemi il mio salario; se no, lasciate stare”. Ed essi mi pesarono il mio salario; trenta sicli d’argento.

And I said to them if [it is] good in eyes your give wage[s] my and if not - refrain and they weighed out wage[s] my thirty silver.

13 E l’Eterno mi disse: “Gettalo per il vasaio, questo magnifico prezzo, al quale m’hanno stimato!” E io presi i trenta sicli d’argento, e li gettai nella casa dell’Eterno per il vasaio.

And he said Yahweh to me throw it to the potter [the] magnificence of the value which I was valued from with them and I took! thirty the silver and I threw it [the] house of Yahweh to the potter.

14 Poi spezzai l’altra verga Vincoli, per rompere la fratellanza fra Guida e Israele.

And I cut up staff my second Union to break the brotherhood between Judah and between Israel.

15 E l’Eterno mi disse: “Prenditi anche gli arnesi d’un pastore insensato.

And he said Yahweh to me again take for yourself [the] equipment of a shepherd foolish.

16 Perché, ecco, io susciterò nel paese un pastore che non si curerà delle pecore che periscono, non cercherà le disperse, non guarirà le ferite, non nutrirà quelle che stanno in piè, ma mangerà la carne delle grasse, e strapperà loro fino le unghie”.

For here! I [am] about to raise up a shepherd in the land those [which] are being destroyed not he will visit the young man not he will seek and the [one which] is maimed not he will heal the [one which] stands firm not he will sustain and [the] flesh of the fat [sheep] he will eat and hooves their he will tear off.

17 Guai al pastore da nulla, che abbandona il gregge! La spada gli colpirà il braccio e l’occhio destro. Il braccio gli seccherà del tutto, e l’occhio destro gli si spegnerà interamente.

Woe to! shepherd of my worthlessness [who] abandons the flock a sword [will be] on arm his and on [the] eye of right [side] his arm his totally it will wither and [the] eye of right [side] his certainly it will grow dim.
