Salmi 145

1 Salmo di lode. Di Davide. Io t’esalterò, o mio Dio, mio Re, benedirò il tuo nome in sempiterno.

My God and King, I will proclaim that you are very great/glorious; I will praise you [MTY] now and forever.

2 Ogni giorno ti benedirò e loderò il tuo nome in sempiterno.

Every day I will praise you; [Yes], I will praise you [MTY] forever.

3 L’Eterno è grande e degno di somma lode, e la sua grandezza non si può investigare.

Yahweh you are great, and (you ought to be praised/people should praise you) very much; [we] cannot fully realize how great you are.

4 Un’età dirà all’altra le lodi delle tue opere, e farà conoscer le tue gesta.

Parents should tell their children the things that you have done; they should tell their children about your mighty deeds.

5 Io mediterò sul glorioso splendore della tua maestà e sulle tue opere maravigliose.

They should tell them that you are very glorious and majestic [DOU], and I will (meditate on/think about) [all] your wonderful deeds.

6 E gli uomini diranno la potenza dei tuoi atti tremendi, e io racconterò la tua grandezza.

People will speak about your powerful and awesome deeds, and I will proclaim that you are [very] great.

7 Essi proclameranno il ricordo della tua gran bontà, e canteranno con giubilo la tua giustizia.

People will remember and proclaim that you are very good [to us], and they will sing joyfully that you [always act] justly/fairly.

8 L’Eterno è misericordioso e pieno di compassione, lento all’ira e di gran benignità.

Yahweh, you [are] kind and merciful [to us]; you do not quickly become angry; you faithfully love [us] very much.

9 L’Eterno è buono verso tutti, e le sue compassioni s’estendono a tutte le sue opere.

Yahweh, you are good to everyone, and you are merciful to everything that you have made.

10 Tutte le tue opere ti celebreranno, o Eterno, e i tuoi fedeli ti benediranno.

Yahweh, [all] the creatures that you [made] will thank you, and all your people will praise you.

11 Diranno la gloria del tuo regno, e narreranno la tua potenza

They will tell [others] that you rule gloriously as [our] king and that you are [very] powerful.

12 per far note ai figliuoli degli uomini le tue gesta e la gloria della maestà del tuo regno.

[They will do that] in order that everyone will know about your powerful deeds and that you rule [over us] gloriously.

13 Il tuo regno è un regno eterno, e la tua signoria dura per ogni età.

You will never stop being king; you [will] rule (throughout all generations/forever). Yahweh, you faithfully do all that you have promised to do, and all that you do, you do mercifully.

14 L’Eterno sostiene tutti quelli che cadono e rialza tutti quelli che son depressi.

Yahweh, you help all those who are discouraged and you lift up all those who (stumble and fall down/are distressed).

15 Gli occhi di tutti sono intenti verso di te, e tu dài loro il loro cibo a suo tempo.

All of the creatures that you made expect that you [will provide food for them], and you give them food when they need it.

16 Tu apri la tua mano, e sazi il desiderio di tutto ciò che vive.

You give food to all living creatures generously [IDM], and you cause them to (be satisfied/have all the food that they need).

17 L’Eterno è giusto in tutte le sue vie e benigno in tutte le sue opere.

Everything that Yahweh does, he does justly/fairly, and all that he does, he does mercifully.

18 L’Eterno è presso a tutti quelli che lo invocano, a tutti quelli che lo invocano in verità.

Yahweh (comes near to/is ready to help) all those who call out to him, to those who call to him sincerely.

19 Egli adempie il desiderio di quelli che lo temono, ode il loro grido, e li salva.

To all those who revere him, he gives them what they need. He hears them when they cry out to him, and saves/rescues them.

20 L’Eterno guarda tutti quelli che l’amano, ma distruggerà tutti gli empi.

Yahweh protects all those who love him, but he will get rid of all the wicked [people].

21 La mia bocca proclamerà la lode dell’Eterno, e ogni carne benedirà il nome della sua santità, in sempiterno.

I [SYN] will always praise Yahweh; [He is] holy; and I wish/hope that everyone will praise him [MTY] forever.
