1 Beniamino generò Bela, suo primogenito, Ashbel il secondo, Aharah il terzo,
And Benjamin begat Bela his firstborn, Ashbel the second, and Aharah the third;
2 Nohah il quarto, e Rafa il quinto.
Nohah the fourth, and Rapha the fifth.
3 I figliuoli di Bela furono: Addar, Ghera, Abihud,
And Bela had sons, Addar, and Gera, and Abihud;
4 Abishua, Naaman, Ahoah,
and Abishua, and Naaman, and Ahoah;
5 Ghera, Scefufan e Huram.
and Gera, and Shephuphan, and Huram.
6 Questi sono i figliuoli di Ehud, che erano capi delle famiglie che abitavano Gheba e che furon trasportati schiavi a Manahath.
And these are the sons of Ehud: these are the heads of fathers’ [houses] of the inhabitants of Geba, and they carried them captive to Manahath:
7 Egli generò Naaman, Ahija e Ghera, che li menò via schiavi; e generò Uzza ed Ahihud.
and Naaman, and Ahijah, and Gera, he carried them captive; and he begat Uzza and Ahihud:
8 Shaharaim ebbe de’ figliuoli nella terra di Moab dopo che ebbe ripudiate le sue mogli Huscim e Baara.
And Shaharaim begat children in the field of Moab, after he had sent them away; Hushim and Baara were his wives.
9 Da Hodesh sua moglie ebbe: Jobab, Tsibia, Mesha, Malcam,
And he begat of Hodesh his wife, Jobab, and Zibia, and Mesha, and Malcam;
10 Jeuts, Sokia e Mirma. Questi furono i suoi figliuoli, capi di famiglie patriarcali.
and Jeuz, and Shachia, and Mirmah. These were his sons, heads of fathers’ [houses].
11 Da Huscim ebbe: Abitub ed Elpaal.
And of Hushim he begat Abitub and Elpaal.
12 Figliuoli di Elpaal: Eber, Misham, Scemed, che edificò Ono, Lod, e le città che ne dipendevano.
And the sons of Elpaal; Eber, and Misham, and Shemed, who built Ono and Lod, with the towns thereof:
13 Beria e Scema, erano i capi delle famiglie che abitavano Ajalon, e misero in fuga gli abitanti di Gath.
and Beriah, and Shema, who were heads of fathers’ [houses] of the inhabitants of Aijalon, who put to flight the inhabitants of Gath;
14 Ahio, Shashak, Jeremoth, Zebadia,
and Ahio, Shashak, and Jeremoth;
15 Arad, Eder,
and Zebadiah, and Arad, and Eder;
16 Micael, Jishpa, Joha erano figliuoli di Beria.
and Michael, and Ishpah, and Joha, the sons of Beriah;
17 Zebadia, Meshullam, Hizki, Heber,
and Zebadiah, and Meshullam, and Hizki, and Heber;
18 Jshmerai, Jzlia e Jobab erano figliuoli di Elpaal.
and Ishmerai, and Izliah, and Jobab, the sons of Elpaal;
19 Jakim, Zicri, Zabdi,
and Jakim, and Zichri, and Zabdi;
20 Elienai, Tsilletai, Eliel,
and Elienai, and Zillethai, and Eliel;
21 Adaia, Beraia e Scimrath erano figliuoli di Scimei.
and Adaiah, and Beraiah, and Shimrath, the sons of Shimei;
22 Jshpan, Eber, Eliel,
and Ishpan, and Eber, and Eliel;
23 Abdon, Zicri, Hanan,
and Abdon, and Zichri, and Hanan;
24 Hanania, Elam, Anthotija,
and Hananiah, and Elam, and Anthothijah;
25 Jfdeia e Penuel erano figliuoli di Shashak.
and Iphdeiah, and Penuel, and sons of Shashak;
26 Shamscerai, Sceharia, Atalia,
and Shamsherai, and Shehariah, and Athaliah;
27 Jaaresia, Elija e Zicri erano figliuoli di Jeroham.
and Jaareshiah, and Elijah, and Zichri, the sons of Jeroham.
28 Questi erano capi di famiglie patriarcali: capi secondo le loro generazioni; e abitavano a Gerusalemme.
These were heads of fathers’ [houses] throughout their generations, chief men: these dwelt in Jerusalem.
29 Il padre di Gabaon abitava a Gabaon, e sua moglie si chiamava Maaca.
And in Gibeon there dwelt the father of Gibeon, [Jeiel], whose wife’s name was Maacah:
30 Il suo figliuolo primogenito fu Abdon; poi ebbe Tsur, Kish, Baal, Nadab, Ghedor, Ahio, Zeker.
and his firstborn son Abdon, and Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Nadab;
31 Mikloth generò Scimea.
and Gedor, and Ahio, and Zecher.
32 Anche questi abitarono dirimpetto ai loro fratelli a Gerusalemme coi loro fratelli.
And Mikloth begat Shimeah. And they also dwelt with their brethren in Jerusalem, over against their brethren.
33 Ner generò Kis; Kis generò Saul; Saul generò Gionathan, Malkishua, Abinadab, Eshbaal.
And Ner begat Kish; and Kish begat Saul; and Saul begat Jonathan, and Malchi-shua, and Abinadab, and Eshbaal.
34 Figliuoli di Gionathan: Merib-Baal. Merib-Baal generò Mica.
And the son of Jonathan was Merib-baal; and Merib-baal begat Micah.
35 Figliuoli di Mica: Pithon, Melec, Taarea, Ahaz.
And the sons of Micah; Pithon, and Melech, and Tarea, and Ahaz.
36 Ahaz generò Jehoadda; Jehoadda generò Alemeth, Azmaveth e Zimri; Zimri generò Motsa;
And Ahaz begat Jehoaddah; and Jehoaddah begat Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begat Moza:
37 Motsa generò Binea, che ebbe per figliuolo Rafa, che ebbe per figliuolo Eleasa, che ebbe per figliuolo Atsel.
And Moza begat Binea; Raphah was his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son:
38 Atsel ebbe sei figliuoli, dei quali questi sono i nomi: Azrikam, Bocru, Ishmael, Scearia, Obadia e Hanan. Tutti questi erano figliuoli di Atsel.
And Azel had six sons, whose names are these; Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan. All these were the sons of Azel.
39 Figliuoli di Escek suo fratello: Ulam, il suo primogenito; Jeush il secondo, ed Elifelet il terzo.
And the sons of Eshek his brother; Ulam his firstborn, Jeush the second, and Eliphelet the third.
40 I figliuoli di Ulam furono uomini forti e valorosi, tiratori d’arco; ebbero molti figliuoli e nipoti: centocinquanta. Tutti questi furon discendenti di Beniamino.
And the sons of Ulam were mighty men of valour, archers, and had many sons, and sons’ sons, an hundred and fifty. All these were of the sons of Benjamin.
