Zaccaria 3

1 POI [il Signore] mi fece veder Iosua, sommo sacerdote, che stava ritto in piè davanti all'Angelo del Signore; e Satana stava alla sua destra, per essergli contra, come parte avversa.

And he shewed mee Iehoshua the hie Priest, standing before the Angel of the Lord, and Satan stoode at his right hand to resist him.

2 E il Signore disse a Satana: Sgriditi il Signore, o Satana; sgriditi il Signore, che ha eletta Gerusalemme; non [è] costui un tizzone scampato dal fuoco?

And the Lord said vnto Satan, The Lord reprooue thee, O Satan: euen the Lord that hath chosen Ierusalem, reprooue thee. Is not this a brand taken out of the fire?

3 Or Iosua era vestito di vestimenti sozzi, e stava ritto in piè davanti all'Angelo.

Nowe Iehoshua was clothed with filthie garments, and stoode before the Angel.

4 E [l'Angelo] prese a dire in questa maniera a quelli che stavano ritti davanti a lui: Toglietegli d'addosso quei vestimenti sozzi. Poi gli disse: Vedi, io ho rimossa d'addosso a te la tua iniquità, e t'ho vestito di vestimenti nuovi.

And he answered and spake vnto those that stoode before him, saying, Take away the filthie garments from him. And vnto him hee saide, Behold, I haue caused thine iniquitie to depart from thee, and I wil clothe thee with change of raiment.

5 Ho parimente detto: Mettaglisi una tiara netta in sul capo. Coloro adunque gli misero un tiara netta in sul capo, e lo vestirono di vestimenti [nuovi]. Or l'Angelo del Signore stava in piè.

And I saide, Let them set a faire diademe vpon his head. So they set a faire diademe vpon his head, and clothed him with garments, and the Angel of the Lord stoode by.

6 E l'Angelo del Signore protestò a Iosua, dicendo:

And the Angel of the Lord testified vnto Iehoshua, saying,

7 Così ha detto il Signor degli eserciti: Se tu cammini nelle mie vie, ed osservi ciò che io ho ordinato che si osservi, tu giudicherai la mia Casa, e guarderai i miei cortili; ed io ti darò di camminare fra costoro che son [qui] presenti.

Thus saith the Lord of hostes, If thou wilt walke in my wayes, and keepe my watch, thou shalt also iudge mine House, and shalt also keepe my courtes, and I will giue thee place among these that stand by.

8 Or ascolta, Iosua, sommo sacerdote, tu, e i tuoi compagni, che seggono nel tuo cospetto; perciocchè voi siete uomini di prodigio; perciocchè, ecco, io adduco il mio Servitore, il Germoglio.

Heare now, O Iehoshua the hie Priest, thou and thy fellowes that sit before thee: for they are monstruous persons: but behold, I wil bring forth the Branche my seruant.

9 Perciocchè, ecco, la pietra, che io ho posta davanti a Iosua; sopra [quell]'una pietra [vi sono] sette occhi: ecco, io scolpisco la scultura di essa, dice il Signor degli eserciti; e torrò via l'iniquità di questo paese in un giorno.

For loe, the stone that I haue layd before Iehoshua: vpon one stone shalbe seuen eyes: beholde, I will cut out the grauing thereof, saith the Lord of hostes, and I will take away the iniquitie of this land in one day.

10 In quel giorno, dice il Signor degli eserciti, voi chiamerete ciascuno il suo compagno sotto alla vite, e sotto al fico.

In that day, saith the Lord of hostes, shall ye call euery man his neighbour vnder the vine, and vnder the figge tree.
