Apocalisse 2
1 ALL'ANGELO della chiesa d'Efeso scrivi: Queste cose dice colui che tiene le sette stelle nella sua destra, il qual cammina in mezzo de' sette candellieri d'oro:
To the angel of the church which is in Ephesos, write: These saith the Holder of all, and of the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven candlesticks of gold.
2 Io conosco le opere tue, e la tua fatica, e la tua sofferenza, e che tu non puoi sopportare i malvagi; ed hai provati coloro che si dicono essere apostoli, e no[l] sono; e li hai trovati mendaci;
I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and (that) thou canst not bear evils; and hast tried those who say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars.
3 ed hai portato il carico, ed hai sofferenza, ed hai faticato per il mio nome, e non ti sei stancato.
And thou hast patience, and hast laboured on account of my name, and hast not fainted.
4 Ma io ho contro a te [questo: ] che tu hai lasciata la tua primiera carità.
But I have against thee, because thy first love thou hast forsaken.
5 Ricordati adunque onde tu sei scaduto, e ravvediti, e fa' le primiere opere; se no, tosto verrò a te, e rimoverò il tuo candelliere dal suo luogo, se tu non ti ravvedi.
Remember, therefore, from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works. But if not, I will come to thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick from its place, if thou convert not.
6 Ma tu hai questo: che tu odii le opere dei Nicolaiti, le quali odio io ancora.
But this thou hast, that thou hatest the works of the Nikolitu, which also I (hate).
7 Chi ha orecchio ascolti ciò che lo Spirito dice alle chiese: A chi vince io darò a mangiare dell'albero della vita, che è in mezzo del paradiso dell'Iddio mio.
He who hath ears, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches. To him who overcometh I will give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of my God.
8 E ALL'ANGELO della chiesa di Smirna scrivi: Queste cose dice il primo, e l'ultimo; il quale è stato morto, ed è tornato in vita:
And to the angel of the church which is in Smurna, write: These saith the First and the Last, who was dead, and liveth.
9 Io conosco le tue opere, e la tua afflizione, e la tua povertà (ma pur tu sei ricco); e la bestemmia di coloro che si dicono esser Giudei, e no[l] sono; anzi [sono] una sinagoga di Satana.
I know thy works, and affliction, and poverty, but thou art rich; and the blasphemy of them who say of themselves that they are Jihudoyee, and are not, but the synagogue of Satana.
10 Non temer nulla delle cose che tu soffrirai; ecco, egli avverrà che il Diavolo caccerà [alcuni] di voi in prigione, acciocchè siate provati; e voi avrete tribolazione di dieci giorni; sii fedele infino alla morte, ed io ti darò la corona della vita.
Fear not any thing of those that thou art to suffer; for, behold, it will be that the accuser will cast some of you into prison, so that you may be tried; and you will have affliction ten days. Be faithful unto the death, and I will give thee the crown of life.
11 Chi ha orecchio, ascolti ciò che lo Spirito dice alle chiese: Chi vince non sarà punto offeso dalla morte seconda.
He who hath ears, let him hear what saith the Spirit to the churches. He who overcometh shall not be injured by the second death.
12 E ALL'ANGELO della chiesa di Pergamo scrivi: Queste cose dice colui che ha la spada a due tagli, acuta:
And to the angel of the church which is in Pergamos, write: These saith he who hath the sharp sword with two edges.
13 Io conosco le tue opere, e dove tu abiti, [cioè] là dove [è] il seggio di Satana; e pur tu ritieni il mio nome, e non hai rinnegata la mia fede, a' dì che fu ucciso il mio fedel testimonio Antipa fra voi, là dove abita Satana.
I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, where (is) the throne of Satana; and thou hast held my name, and not denied my faith in those days when my witness was exposed, my faithful one, who was killed with you where dwelleth Satana.
14 Ma io ho alcune poche cose contro a te, [cioè: ] che tu hai quivi di quelli che tengono la dottrina di Balaam, il quale insegnò a Balac di porre intoppo davanti a' figliuoli d'Israele, acciocchè mangiassero delle cose sacrificate agl'idoli, e fornicassero.
But I have against thee a little, because thou hast there those who hold the doctrine of Belam, who taught Balok to cast a stumbling-block before the sons of Israel, to eat that which the sons of idols (eat), and to commit fornication.
15 Così hai ancora tu di quelli che tengono la dottrina de' Nicolaiti; il che io odio.
So hast thou who hold the doctrine of the Nikolitu: of it,
16 Ravvediti; se no, tosto verrò a te, e combatterò con loro con la spada della mia bocca.
in like (manner), repent; and if not, I will come to thee quickly, and will war against them with the sword of my mouth.
17 Chi ha orecchio, ascolti ciò che lo Spirito dice alle chiese: A chi vince io darò a mangiar della manna nascosta, e gli darò un calcolo bianco, e in su quel calcolo un nuovo nome scritto, il qual niuno conosce, se non colui che [lo] riceve.
He who hath ears, let him hear what saith the Spirit to the churches. To him who overcometh will I give to eat of the manna which is hidden; and I will give to him the white stone, and upon the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth but he who receiveth.
18 E ALL'ANGELO della chiesa di Tiatiri scrivi: Queste cose dice il Figliuol di Dio, il quale ha gli occhi come fiamma di fuoco, e i cui piedi [sono] simili a calcolibano:
And to the angel and church which is in Thiatiros, write: These saith the Son of Aloha, who hath his eyes as the flame of fire, and his feet like refined brass.
19 Io conosco le tue opere, e la tua carità, e la tua fede, e il tuo ministerio, e la tua sofferenza; e che le tue opere ultime sopravanzano le primiere.
I know thy works, and thy love and faith and service; and also thy patience, and thy last works to be greater than the first.
20 Ma ho contro a te alcune poche cose, [cioè: ] che tu lasci che la donna Iezabel, la quale si dice esser profetessa, insegni, e seduca i miei servitori, per fornicare, e mangiar de' sacrificii degl'idoli.
But I have against thee that thou permittest thy wife Izabel, who calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat what the sons of idols (eat).
21 Ed io le ho dato tempo da ravvedersi della sua fornicazione; ma ella non si è ravveduta.
And I gave her time when she might convert, and she willed not to repent of her fornication.
22 Ecco, io la fo cadere in letto; e quelli che adulterano con lei, in gran tribolazione, se non si ravveggono delle opere loro.
Behold, I cast her into a bed, and those who have committed adultery with her into great affliction, if they repent not of their works.
23 E farò morir di morte i figliuoli di essa; e tutte le chiese conosceranno che io son quello che investigo le reni, ed i cuori, e renderò a ciascun di voi secondo le vostre opere.
And her sons will I kill with death, and all the churches shall know that I am he who searcheth the reins and the hearts: and I will give to you every one according to your works.
24 Ma a voi altri che [siete] in Tiatiri, che non avete questa dottrina, e non avete conosciute le profondità di Satana, come coloro parlano, io dico: Io non metterò sopra voi altro carico.
But to you I say, to those of the rest who are in Thiatiros, all them who have not this doctrine, the men who know not the depths Of Satana, as they speak; I will not throw upon you another burden;
25 Tuttavolta, ciò che voi avete, ritenetelo finchè io venga.
but that which you have, hold, until I come.
26 Ed a chi vince, e guarda fino al fine le opere mie, io darò podestà sopra le nazioni;
And he who conquereth, and he who keepeth until the end my works, I will give to him power over the peoples,
27 ed egli le reggerà con una verga di ferro, e saranno tritate come i vasi di terra; siccome io ancora ho ricevuto dal Padre mio.
and he shall rule them with a rod of iron, and as a vessel of the potter shall they be destroyed, as also I have received from my Father;
28 E gli darò la stella mattutina.
and I will give to him the morning star.
29 Chi ha orecchio, ascolti ciò che lo Spirito dice alle chiese.
He who hath ears, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches.
