Salmi 98

1 Salmo CANTATE al Signore un nuovo cantico; Perciocchè egli ha fatte maraviglie; La sua destra e il braccio della sua santità gli hanno acquistata salute.

A Psalme. Sing vnto the Lord a newe song: for hee hath done marueilous things: his right hand, and his holy arme haue gotten him the victorie.

2 Il Signore ha fatta conoscer la sua salute; Egli ha manifestata la sua giustizia nel cospetto delle genti.

The Lord declared his saluation: his righteousnes hath he reueiled in the sight of ye nations.

3 Egli si è ricordato della sua benignità, e della sua verità, Verso la casa d'Israele; Tutte le estremità della terra hanno veduta la salute del nostro Dio.

He hath remembred his mercy and his trueth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth haue seene the saluation of our God.

4 [O abitanti di] tutta la terra, Giubilate al Signore; Risonate, cantate, e salmeggiate.

All the earth, sing ye loude vnto the Lord: crie out and reioyce, and sing prayses.

5 Salmeggiate al Signore colla cetera. Colla cetera giunta alla voce di canto.

Sing prayse to the Lord vpon the harpe, euen vpon the harpe with a singing voyce.

6 Date voci d'allegrezza con trombe, e suon di corno, Nel cospetto del Re, del Signore.

With shalmes and sound of trumpets sing loude before the Lord the King.

7 Rimbombi il mare, e ciò che è in esso; Il mondo, e i suoi abitanti.

Let the sea roare, and all that therein is, the world, and they that dwell therein.

8 Battansi i fiumi a palme; Cantino d'allegrezza tutti i monti.

Let the floods clap their hands, and let the mountaines reioyce together

9 Nel cospetto del Signore; perciocchè egli viene per giudicar la terra; Egli giudicherà il mondo in giustizia, E i popoli in dirittura.

Before the Lord: for he is come to iudge the earth: with righteousnesse shall hee iudge the world, and the people with equitie.
