Salmi 93

1 IL Signore regna; egli è vestito di maestà; Il Signore è vestito e cinto di forza; Il mondo eziandio è stabilito, e non sarà [giammai] smosso.

The Lord reigneth, he is clothed with excellency; the Lord is clothed, he hath girded himself with strength: [therefore] also the world is firmly established, that it cannot be moved.

2 Il tuo trono [è] fermo da tutta eternità; Tu [sei] ab eterno.

Firmly established is thy throne from the beginning: from everlasting art thou [God].

3 I fiumi hanno alzato, o Signore, I fiumi hanno alzato il lor suono; I fiumi hanno alzate le loro onde;

The rivers have lifted up, O Lord, the rivers have lifted up their voice; the rivers lift up their waves.

4 [Ma] il Signore, [che è] disopra, [È] più potente che il suono delle grandi acque, Che le possenti onde del mare.

[But] more than the noise of great waters, than the mighty billows of the sea, is the Lord excellent on high.

5 Le tue testimonianze son sommamente veraci, o Signore; La santità è bella nella tua Casa in perpetuo.

Thy testimonies are exceedingly steadfast: in thy house abideth holiness, O Lord! to the utmost length of days.
