Salmi 69
1 [Salmo] di Davide, [dato] al Capo de' Musici, sopra Sosannim SALVAMI, o Dio; Perciocchè le acque son pervenute infino all'anima.
For the Leader; upon Shoshannim. A Psalm of David. Save me, O God; for the waters are come in even unto the soul.
2 Io sono affondato in un profondo pantano, Ove non [vi è luogo] da fermare [il piè]; Io son giunto alle profondità dell'acqua, e la corrente m'inonda.
I am sunk in deep mire, where there is no standing; I am come into deep waters, and the flood overwhelmeth me.
3 Io sono stanco di gridare, io ho la gola asciutta; Gli occhi mi son venuti meno, aspettando l'Iddio mio.
I am weary of my crying; my throat is dried; mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.
4 Quelli che mi odiano senza cagione Sono in maggior numero che i capelli del mio capo; Quelli che mi disertano, [e] che mi sono nemici a torto, si fortificano; Ecco là, io ho renduto ciò che non aveva rapito.
They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head; they that would cut me off, being mine enemies wrongfully, are many; should I restore that which I took not away?
5 O Dio, tu conosci la mia follia; E le mie colpe non ti sono occulte.
O God, Thou knowest my folly; and my trespasses are not hid from Thee.
6 O Signore, Dio degli eserciti, Quelli che sperano in te non sieno confusi per cagion di me; Quelli che ti cercano non sieno svergognati per me, O Dio d'Israele.
Let not them that wait for Thee be ashamed through me, O Lord GOD of hosts; let not those that seek Thee be brought to confusion through me, O God of Israel.
7 Perciocchè per l'amor di te io soffro vituperio; Vergogna mi ha coperta la faccia.
Because for Thy sake I have borne reproach; confusion hath covered my face.
8 Io son divenuto strano a' miei fratelli, E forestiere a' figliuoli di mia madre.
I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother's children.
9 Perciocchè lo zelo della tua Casa mi ha roso; E i vituperii di quelli che ti fanno vituperio mi caggiono addosso.
Because zeal for Thy house hath eaten me up, and the reproaches of them that reproach Thee are fallen upon me.
10 Io ho pianto, [affliggendo] l'anima mia col digiuno; Ma [ciò] mi è tornato in grande obbrobrio.
And I wept with my soul fasting, and that became unto me a reproach.
11 Ancora ho fatto d'un sacco il mio vestimento; Ma son loro stato in proverbio.
I made sackcloth also my garment, and I became a byword unto them.
12 Quelli che seggono nella porta ragionano di me; E le canzoni de' bevitori di cervogia [ne] parlano.
They that sit in the gate talk of me; and I am the song of the drunkards.
13 Ma quant'è a me, o Signore, la mia orazione [s'indirizza] a te; [Egli vi è] un tempo di benevolenza; O Dio, per la grandezza della tua benignità, E per la verità della tua salute, rispondimi.
But as for me, let my prayer be unto Thee, O LORD, in an acceptable time; O God, in the abundance of Thy mercy, answer me with the truth of Thy salvation.
14 Tirami fuor del pantano, che io non vi affondi, [E] che io sia riscosso da quelli che mi hanno in odio, Dalle profondità delle acque;
Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink; let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.
15 Che la corrente delle acque non m'inondi, E che il gorgo non mi tranghiotta, E che il pozzo non turi sopra me la sua bocca.
Let not the waterflood overwhelm me, neither let the deep swallow me up; and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me.
16 Rispondimi, o Signore; perciocchè la tua benignità [è] buona; Secondo la grandezza delle tue compassioni riguarda verso me.
Answer me, O LORD, for Thy mercy is good; according to the multitude of Thy compassions turn Thou unto me.
17 E non nascondere il tuo volto dal tuo servo; Perciocchè io son distretto; affrettati, rispondimi.
And hide not Thy face from Thy servant; for I am in distress; answer me speedily.
18 Accostati all'anima mia, riscattala; Riscuotimi, per cagion de' miei nemici.
Draw nigh unto my soul, and redeem it; ransom me because of mine enemies.
19 Tu conosci il vituperio, l'onta, e la vergogna che mi è fatta; Tutti i miei nemici [son] davanti a te.
Thou knowest my reproach, and my shame, and my confusion; mine adversaries are all before Thee.
20 Il vituperio mi ha rotto il cuore, e io son tutto dolente; Ed ho aspettato che alcuno si condolesse meco, ma non [vi è stato] alcuno; Ed [ho aspettati] de' consolatori, ma non [ne] ho trovati.
Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am sore sick; and I looked for some to show compassion, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.
21 Hanno, oltre a ciò, messo del veleno nella mia vivanda; E, nella mia sete, mi hanno dato a bere dell'aceto.
Yea, they put poison into my food; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.
22 Sia la lor mensa un laccio [teso] davanti a loro; E le lor prosperità [sieno loro] una trappola.
Let their table before them become a snare; and when they are in peace, let it become a trap.
23 Gli occhi loro sieno oscurati, sì che non possano vedere; E fa' loro del continuo vacillare i lombi.
Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not; and make their loins continually to totter.
24 Spandi l'ira tua sopra loro, E colgali l'ardor del tuo cruccio.
Pour out Thine indignation upon them, and let the fierceness of Thine anger overtake them.
25 Sieno desolati i lor palazzi; Ne' lor tabernacoli non vi sia alcuno abitatore.
Let their encampment be desolate; let none dwell in their tents.
26 Perciocchè hanno perseguitato colui che tu hai percosso, E fatte le lor favole del dolore di coloro che tu hai feriti.
For they persecute him whom Thou hast smitten; and they tell of the pain of those whom Thou hast wounded.
27 Aggiugni loro iniquità sopra iniquità; E non abbiano giammai entrata alla tua giustizia.
Add iniquity unto their iniquity; and let them not come into Thy righteousness.
28 Sieno cancellati dal libro della vita; E non sieno scritti co' giusti.
Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.
29 Ora, quant'è a me, io [sono] afflitto e addolorato; La tua salute, o Dio, mi levi ad alto.
But I am afflicted and in pain; let Thy salvation, O God, set me up on high.
30 Io loderò il Nome di Dio con cantici, E lo magnificherò con lode.
I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify Him with thanksgiving.
31 E [ciò] sarà più accettevole al Signore, che bue, [Che] giovenco con corna ed unghie.
And it shall please the LORD better than a bullock that hath horns and hoofs.
32 I mansueti, vedendo [ciò], si rallegreranno; Ed il cuor vostro viverà, [o voi] che cercate Iddio.
The humble shall see it, and be glad; ye that seek after God, let your heart revive.
33 Perciocchè il Signore esaudisce i bisognosi, E non isprezza i suoi prigioni.
For the LORD hearkeneth unto the needy, and despiseth not His prisoners.
34 Lodinlo i cieli e la terra; I mari, e tutto ciò che in essi guizza.
Let heaven and earth praise Him, the seas, and every thing that moveth therein.
35 Perciocchè Iddio salverà Sion, ed edificherà le città di Giuda; E [coloro] vi abiteranno, e possederanno Sion per eredità.
For God will save Zion, and build the cities of Judah; and they shall abide there, and have it in possession.
36 E la progenie de' suoi servitori l'erederà; E quelli che amano il suo Nome abiteranno in essa.
The seed also of His servants shall inherit it; and they that love His name shall dwell therein.
