Salmi 32

1 Maschil di Davide BEATO colui la cui trasgressione è rimessa, E il cui peccato è coperto!

AN INSTRUCTION OF DAVID. O the blessedness of him whose transgression [is] forgiven, Whose sin is covered.

2 Beato l'uomo a cui il Signore non imputa iniquità, E nel cui spirito non [vi è] frode alcuna!

O the blessedness of a man, To whom YHWH does not impute iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit.

3 Mentre io mi son taciuto, le mie ossa si sono invecchiate, Nel mio ruggire di tutto dì.

When I have kept silence, my bones have become old, Through my roaring all the day.

4 Perciocchè giorno e notte la tua mano era aggravata sopra me, L'umor mio era divenuto simile ad arsure di state. (Sela)

When by day and by night Your hand is heavy on me, My moisture has been changed Into the droughts of summer. (Selah)

5 Io ti ho dichiarato il mio peccato, non ho coperta la mia iniquità, Io ho detto: Io confesserò le mie trasgressioni al Signore; E tu hai rimessa l'iniquità del mio peccato. (Sela)

I cause You to know my sin, And I have not covered my iniquity. I have said, “I confess to YHWH concerning My transgressions,” And You have taken away the iniquity of my sin. (Selah)

6 Perciò ogni [uomo] pio ti farà orazione Nel tempo che [tu] puoi esser trovato; Nel [tempo] di diluvio di grandi acque, esse non pur perverranno a lui.

For every saintly one prays this to You, In the time to find [You]. Surely at an overflowing of many waters, They do not come to him.

7 Tu [sei] il mio ricetto, tu mi guarderai di distretta, Tu mi circonderai di canti di liberazione. (Sela)

You [are] a hiding place for me, You keep me from distress, Surround me [with] songs of deliverance. (Selah)

8 Io voglio ammaestrarti ed insegnarti la via, Per la quale devi camminare; E consigliarti, [avendo] l'occhio sopra te.

I cause you to act wisely, And direct you in the way that you go, I cause My eye to take counsel concerning you.

9 Non siate come il cavallo, [nè] come il mulo, [che sono] senza intelletto; La cui bocca conviene frenare con morso e con freno, [Altrimente] non si accosterebbero a te.

Do not be as a horse—as a mule, Without understanding, With bridle and bit, its ornaments, to curb, Not to come near to you.

10 Molti dolori [avverranno] all'empio; Ma benignità intornierà colui che si confida nel Signore.

Many [are] the pains of the wicked; As for him who is trusting in YHWH, Kindness surrounds him.

11 Rallegratevi nel Signore, e fate festa, o giusti; E giubilate, [voi tutti che siete] diritti di cuore.

Be glad in YHWH, and rejoice, you righteous, And sing, all you upright of heart!
