Salmi 29

1 Salmo di Davide DATE al Signore, o figliuoli de' potenti, Date al Signore gloria e forza.

A Psalme of David. Give vnto the Lord, ye sonnes of the mightie: giue vnto the Lord glorie and strength.

2 Date al Signore la gloria [dovuta] al suo Nome; Adorate il Signore nel magnifico santuario.

Giue vnto the Lord glorie due vnto his Name: worship the Lord in the glorious Sanctuarie.

3 La voce del Signore [è] sopra le acque; L'Iddio di gloria tuona; Il Signore [è] sopra le grandi acque.

The voyce of the Lord is vpon the waters: the God of glorie maketh it to thunder: the Lord is vpon the great waters.

4 La voce del Signore [è] con potenza; La voce del Signore [è] con magnificenza.

The voyce of the Lord is mightie: the voyce of the Lord is glorious.

5 La voce del Signore rompe i cedri; E il Signore spezza i cedri del Libano;

The voyce of the Lord breaketh the cedars: yea, the Lord breaketh the cedars of Lebanon.

6 E li fa saltellar come un vitello; Il Libano stesso, e Sirion, come il figlio d'un liocorno.

He maketh them also to leape like a calfe: Lebanon also and Shirion like a yong vnicorne.

7 La voce del Signore sparge, a giusa di schegge, fiamme di fuoco.

The voice of the Lord deuideth the flames of sire.

8 La voce del Signore fa tremare il deserto; Il Signore fa tremare il deserto di Cades.

The voice of the Lord maketh the wildernes to tremble: the Lord maketh the wildernes of Kadesh to tremble.

9 La voce del Signore fa partorir le cerve, E sfronda le selve; Ma [intanto] ciascuna predica [la sua] gloria nel suo Tempio.

The voice of the Lord maketh the hindes to calue, and discouereth the forests: therefore in his Temple doth euery man speake of his glory.

10 Il Signore nel diluvio siede; Anzi il Signore siede re in eterno.

The Lord sitteth vpon the flood, and the Lord doeth remaine King for euer.

11 Il Signore darà forza al suo popolo; Il Signore benedirà il suo popolo in pace.

The Lord shall giue strength vnto his people: the Lord shall blesse his people with peace.
