Salmi 148

1 ALLELUIA. Lodate il Signore dal cielo; Lodatelo ne' [luoghi] altissimi.

Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the Lord from the heauen: prayse ye him in the high places.

2 Lodatelo [voi], suoi Angeli tutti. Lodatelo [voi], suoi eserciti.

Prayse ye him, all ye his Angels: praise him, all his armie.

3 Lodatelo, sole e luna; Lodatelo [voi], stelle lucenti tutte.

Prayse ye him, sunne and moone: prayse ye him all bright starres.

4 Lodatelo [voi], cieli de' cieli; E [voi], acque che [siete] di sopra al cielo.

Prayse ye him, heauens of heauens, and waters, that be aboue the heauens.

5 [Tutte queste cose] lodino il nome del Signore; Perciocchè al suo comandamento furono create.

Let them prayse the Name of the Lord: for he commanded, and they were created.

6 Ed egli le ha stabilite per sempre [ed] in perpetuo; Egli ne ha fatto uno statuto, il qual non trapasserà giammai.

And he hath established them for euer and euer: he hath made an ordinance, which shall not passe.

7 Lodate il Signore della terra. Balene, ed abissi tutti;

Prayse ye the Lord from the earth, ye dragons and all depths:

8 Fuoco, e gragnuola; neve, e vapore, [E] vento tempestoso ch'eseguisce la sua parola;

Fire and hayle, snowe and vapours, stormie winde, which execute his worde:

9 Monti, e colli tutti; Alberi fruttiferi, e cedri tutti;

Mountaines and all hils, fruitfull trees and all ceders:

10 Fiere, e bestie domestiche tutte; Rettili, ed uccelli alati;

Beasts and all cattell, creeping things and fethered foules:

11 Re della terra, e popoli tutti; Principi, e rettori della terra tutti;

Kings of the earth and all people, princes and all iudges of the worlde:

12 Giovani, ed anche vergini; Vecchi, e fanciulli;

Yong men and maidens, also olde men and children:

13 Lodino il Nome del Signore; Perciocchè il Nome di lui solo è innalzato; La sua maestà [è] sopra la terra, e [sopra] il cielo.

Let them prayse the Name of the Lord: for his Name onely is to be exalted, and his prayse aboue the earth and the heauens.

14 Ed ha alzato un corno al suo popolo, Il che [è materia di] lode a tutti i suoi santi: A' figliuoli d'Israele, suo popolo prossimo. Alleluia.

For he hath exalted the horne of his people, which is a prayse for all his Saintes, euen for the children of Israel, a people that is neere vnto him. Prayse ye the Lord.
