Salmi 121

1 Cantico di Maalot IO alzo gli occhi a' monti, [Per vedere] onde mi verrà aiuto.

A Song of degrees. I will lift up my eyes to the hills, from which cometh my help.

2 Il mio aiuto [verrà] dal Signore Che ha fatto il cielo e la terra.

My help cometh from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

3 Egli non permetterà che il tuo piè vacilli; Il tuo Guardiano non sonnecchia.

He will not allow thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

4 Ecco, il Guardiano d'Israele Non sonnecchia, e non dorme.

Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

5 Il Signore [è] quel che ti guarda; Il Signore [è] la tua ombra, [egli è] alla tua man destra.

The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.

6 Di giorno il sole non ti ferirà, Nè la luna di notte.

The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

7 Il Signore ti guarderà d'ogni male; Egli guarderà l'anima tua.

The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

8 Il Signore guarderà la tua uscita e la tua entrata, Da ora, e fino in eterno.

The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
