Salmi 11

1 Salmo di Davide, [dato] al Capo de' Musici IO mi confido nel Signore; Come dite voi all'anima mia: Fuggite al vostro monte, [come] un uccelletto?

I trust that Yahweh will protect [MTY] me. So do not [RHQ] say to me, “You need to escape/flee to the mountains like birds do,

2 Certo, ecco gli empi hanno teso l'arco, Hanno accoccate le lor saette in su la corda, Per tirar[le] contro a' diritti di cuore, in luogo scuro.

because wicked people have hidden in the darkness, they have pulled back their bowstrings and aimed their arrows to shoot them at godly/righteous [IDM] people [like you].

3 Quando i fondamenti son ruinati, Che ha fatto il giusto?

When people are not punished for disobeying the laws, (what can righteous people do?/there is not much that righteous people can do.)” [RHQ]

4 Il Signore [è] nel Tempio della sua santità; Il trono del Signore [è] ne' cieli; I suoi occhi veggono, Le sue palpebre esaminano i figliuoli degli uomini.

But Yahweh is sitting on his throne in his sacred temple in heaven, and he [SYN] watches everything that people do.

5 Il Signore esamina il giusto, e l'empio; E l'anima sua odia colui che ama la violenza.

Yahweh examines what righteous people do and what wicked people do, and he hates those who like to perform violent actions [to injure others].

6 Egli farà piovere in su gli empi Brace, e fuoco, e solfo, E vento tempestoso, per la porzione del lor calice.

He will send down [from the sky] flaming coals and burning sulfur, and send scorching hot winds to punish wicked people.

7 Perciocchè il Signore [è] giusto; egli ama la giustizia; La sua faccia riguarda l'[uomo] diritto.

Yahweh is righteous and he loves those who act righteously; righteous people are able to come into his presence.
