Proverbi 26
1 Come la neve [non si conviene] alla state, Nè la pioggia al tempo della ricolta, Così la gloria non si conviene allo stolto.
Like snow - in the summer and like rain at the harvest so not [is] suitable for a fool honor.
2 Come il passero vaga, e la rondinella vola, Così la maledizione [data] senza cagione non avverrà.
Like bird for fluttering like swallow for flying so a curse without cause (to him *QK) it will come.
3 La sferza al cavallo, ed il capestro all'asino, E il bastone al dosso degli stolti.
A whip for horse a bridle for a donkey and a rod for [the] back of fools.
4 Non rispondere allo stolto secondo la sua follia; Che talora anche tu non gli sii agguagliato.
May not you answer a fool according to foolishness his lest you should become like him also you.
5 Rispondi allo stolto, come si conviene alla sua follia; Che talora non gli paia d'esser savio.
Answer a fool according to foolishness his lest he should be wise in own eyes his.
6 Chi [si] taglia i piedi [ne] beve l'ingiuria; Così avviene a chi manda a far de' messi per uno stolto.
[one who] cuts off Feet violence [one who] drinks [one who] sends words by [the] hand of a fool.
7 Lo zoppo zoppica delle sue due gambe; Così [fa] la sentenza nella bocca degli stolti.
They hang down legs from a lame [person] and a proverb in [the] mouth of fools.
8 Chi dà gloria allo stolto [Fa] come [chi gittasse] una pietra preziosa in un mucchio di sassi.
As ties a stone in a sling so [one who] gives to a fool honor.
9 La sentenza nella bocca degli stolti [È come] una spina, che sia caduta in mano ad un ebbro.
Thorn[s] it goes up in [the] hand of a drunkard and a proverb in [the] mouth of fools.
10 I grandi tormentano ognuno, E prezzolano stolti, e salariano passanti.
An archer [who] wounds everyone and [one who] hires a fool and [one who] hires [those who] pass by.
11 Come il cane ritorna al suo vomito, [Così] lo stolto reitera la sua follia.
Like a dog [which] returns to own vomit its a fool [who] repeats foolishness his.
12 Hai tu veduto un uomo che si reputi savio? [Vi è] maggiore speranza d'uno stolto che di lui.
You see a person wise in own eyes his hope [belongs] to a fool more than him.
13 Il pigro dice: Il leopardo [è] in su la strada, Il leone [è] per le campagne.
He says a sluggard a lion [is] in the road a lion [is] between the open places.
14 [Come] l'uscio si volge sopra i suoi arpioni, Così [si volge] il pigro sopra il suo letto.
The door it turns on hinge[s] its and a sluggard on bed his.
15 Il pigro nasconde la mano nel seno; Egli dura fatica a trarla fuori [per recarsela] alla bocca.
He hides a sluggard hand his in the dish he is weary to bring back it to mouth his.
16 Al pigro par di esser savio, Più che sette che dànno risposte di prudenza.
[is] wise A sluggard in own eyes his more than seven [people] [who] bring back discernment.
17 Colui che passando trascorre in ira per una questione che non gli [tocca], [È come] chi afferra un cane per gli orecchi.
[one who] takes hold On [the] ears of a dog a passer by [who] becomes angry on a dispute [which] not [belongs] to him.
18 Quale [è] colui che, infingendosi di scherzare, avventa razzi, Saette, e cose mortifere;
Like a madman who throws burning arrows arrows and death.
19 Tale [è] colui [che] inganna il suo prossimo, E dice: Non ischerzo io?
So a person [who] he deceives neighbor his and he says ¿ not jesting [was] I.
20 Il fuoco si spegne, quando mancano legne; Così le contese si acquetano, quando non vi [son] rapportatori.
With not wood it is extinguished a fire and with not a slanderer it becomes quiet strife.
21 Il carbone [è] per [far] brace, e le legne per [far] fuoco; E l'uomo rissoso per accender contese.
Charcoal to burning coals and wood to fire and a person of (contentions *QK) to kindling strife.
22 Le parole del rapportatore paiono lusinghevoli; Ma scendono fin dentro al ventre.
[the] words of A slanderer [are] like delicacies and they they go down [the] chambers of [the] belly.
23 Le labbra ardenti, e il cuor malvagio, [Son come] schiuma d'argento impiastrata sopra un testo.
Silver of dross overlaid on earthenware lips burning and a heart of evil.
24 Chi odia s'infinge nel suo parlare, Ma cova la frode nel suo interiore;
(With lips his *QK) he disguises himself [one who] hates and in inner being his he puts deceit.
25 Quando egli parlerà di una voce graziosa, non fidartici; Perciocch[è] egli ha sette scelleratezze nel cuore.
If he will make favorable voice his may not you trust in him for seven abominations [are] in heart his.
26 L'odio si copre con inganno; [Ma] la sua malignità sarà palesata in piena raunanza.
It covers itself hatred with deception it will be revealed wickedness his in [the] assembly.
27 Chi cava una fossa caderà in essa; E se alcuno rotola una pietra ad alto, ella gli tornerà addosso.
[one who] digs A pit in it he will fall and [one who] rolls a stone to him it will return.
28 La lingua bugiarda odia quelli ch'ella ha fiaccati; E la bocca lusinghiera produce ruina.
A tongue of falsehood it hates crushed [people] its and a mouth flattering it makes stumbling.
