Neemia 7
1 Ora, dopo che le mura furono riedificate, e che io ebbi posate le reggi, e che furono costituiti i portinai, i cantori ed i Leviti ne' loro ufficii,
Now it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the porters and the singers and the Levites were appointed,
2 io commisi [la guardia di] Gerusalemme ad Hanani, mio fratello; e ad Hanania, mastro del palazzo (conciossiachè veramente egli fosse uomo leale, e temesse Iddio più che molti [altri]);
That I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem: for he [was] a faithful man, and feared God above many.
3 e dissi loro: Non apransi le porte di Gerusalemme, finchè il sole non si cominci a riscaldare; e mentre quelli [che avranno fatta la guardia] saranno ancora [quivi] presenti, serrinsi le porte, ed abbarratele [voi]; ed oltre a ciò, dispongansi le guardie degli abitanti di Gerusalemme, ciascuno alla sua vicenda, e ciascuno dirimpetto alla sua casa.
And I said to them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun shall be hot; and while they stand by, let them shut the doors, and bar [them]: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one [to be] over against his house.
4 Or la città [era] ampia e grande, e [vi era] poco popolo dentro, e le case non [erano] riedificate.
Now the city [was] large and great: but the people in it [were] few, and the houses [were] not built.
5 E L'IDDIO mio mi mise in cuore d'adunar gli uomini notabili, i magistrati, e il popolo, per descriver[li] secondo le lor genealogie. Ed io trovai il libro della descrizione di quelli che erano ritornati la prima volta; ed in esso trovai scritto [così: ]
And my God put into my heart to assemble the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might be reckoned by genealogy. And I found a register of the genealogy of them who came up at the first, and found written in it,
6 Questi [son] quei della provincia che ritornarono dalla cattività, d'infra i prigioni che Nebucadnesar, re di Babilonia, trasportò; ed i quali se ne rivennero in Gerusalemme, e in Giuda, ciascuno alla sua città;
These [are] the children of the province, that went up out of the captivity, of those that had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away, and came again to Jerusalem and to Judah, every one to his city;
7 i quali vennero con Zorobabel, Iesua, Neemia, Azaria, Raamia, Nahamani, Mardocheo, Bilsan, Misperet, Bigvai, Nehum, [e] Baana. Il numero degli uomini del popolo d'Israele, [era questo: ]
Who came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, Baanah. The number, [I say], of the men of the people of Israel [was this];
8 I figliuoli di Paros [erano] duemila censettantadue;
The children of Parosh, two thousand a hundred and seventy two.
9 i figliuoli di Sefatia, trecensettantadue;
The children of Shephatiah, three hundred and seventy two.
10 i figliuoli di Ara, seicencinquantadue;
The children of Arah, six hundred and fifty two.
11 i figliuoli di Pahat-Moab, [divisi] ne' figliuoli di Iesua, [e] di Ioab, duemila ottocendiciotto;
The children of Pahath-moab, of the children of Jeshua and Joab, two thousand and eight hundred [and] eighteen.
12 i figliuoli di Elam, mille dugencinquantaquattro;
The children of Elam, a thousand two hundred and fifty four.
13 i figliuoli di Zattu, ottocenquarantacinque;
The children of Zattu, eight hundred and forty five.
14 i figliuoli di Zaccai, settecensessanta;
The children of Zaccai, seven hundred and sixty.
15 i figliuoli di Binnui, seicenquarantotto;
The children of Binnui, six hundred and forty eight.
16 i figliuoli di Bebai, seicenventotto;
The children of Bebai, six hundred and twenty eight.
17 i figliuoli di Azgad, duemila trecenventidue;
The children of Azgad, two thousand three hundred and twenty two.
18 i figliuoli di Adonicam, seicensessantasette;
The children of Adonikam, six hundred and sixty seven.
19 i figliuoli di Bigvai, duemila sessantasette;
The children of Bigvai, two thousand and sixty seven.
20 i figliuoli di Adin, seicencinquantacinque;
The children of Adin, six hundred and fifty five.
21 i figliuoli di Ater, per Ezechia, novantotto;
The children of Ater of Hezekiah, ninety eight.
22 i figliuoli di Hasum, trecenventotto;
The children of Hashum, three hundred and twenty eight.
23 i figliuoli di Besai, trecenventiquattro;
The children of Bezai, three hundred and twenty four.
24 i figliuoli di Harif, centododici;
The children of Hariph, a hundred and twelve.
25 i figliuoli di Ghibon, novantacinque;
The children of Gibeon, ninety five.
26 gli uomini di Bet-lehem e di Netofa, centottantotto;
The men of Beth-lehem and Netophah, a hundred and eighty eight.
27 gli uomini di Anatot, cenventotto;
The men of Anathoth, a hundred and twenty eight.
28 gli uomini di Bet-azmavet, quarantadue;
The men of Beth-azmaveth, forty two.
29 gli uomini di Chiriat-iearim, di Chefira, e di Beerot, settecenquarantatrè;
The men of Kirjath-jearim, Chephirah, and Beeroth, seven hundred and forty three.
30 gli uomini di Rama e di Gheba, seicenventuno;
The men of Ramah and Gaba, six hundred and twenty one.
31 gli uomini di Micmas, cenventidue;
The men of Michmas, a hundred and twenty two.
32 gli uomini di Betel e d'Ai, cenventitrè;
The men of Beth-el and Ai, a hundred and twenty three.
33 gli uomini dell'altra Nebo, cinquantadue;
The men of the other Nebo, fifty two.
34 i figliuoli d'un altro Elam, mille dugencinquantaquattro;
The children of the other Elam, a thousand two hundred and fifty four.
35 i figliuoli di Harim, trecenventi;
The children of Harim, three hundred and twenty.
36 i figliuoli di Gerico, trecenquarantacinque;
The children of Jericho, three hundred and forty five.
37 i figliuoli di Lod, di Hadid, e d'Ono, settecenventuno;
The children of Lod, Hadid, and Ono, seven hundred and twenty one.
38 i figliuoli di Senaa, tremila novecentrenta.
The children of Senaah, three thousand nine hundred and thirty.
39 De' sacerdoti: i figliuoli di Iedaia, della famiglia di Iesua, novecensettantatrè;
The priests: the children of Jedaiah, of the house of Jeshua, nine hundred and seventy three.
40 i figliuoli d'Immer, mille cinquantadue;
The children of Immer, a thousand and fifty two.
41 i figliuoli di Pashur, mille dugenquarantasette;
The children of Pashur, a thousand two hundred and forty seven.
42 i figliuoli di Harim, mille diciassette.
The children of Harim, a thousand and seventeen.
43 De' Leviti: i figliuoli di Iesua, [e] di Cadmiel, d'infra i figliuoli di Hodeva, settantaquattro.
The Levites: the children of Jeshua, of Kadmiel, [and] of the children of Hodevah, seventy four.
44 De' cantori: i figliuoli di Asaf, cenquarantotto.
The singers: the children of Asaph, a hundred and forty eight.
45 De' portinai: i figliuoli di Sallum, i figliuoli di Ater, i figliuoli di Talmon, i figliuoli di Accub, i figliuoli di Hatita, ed i figliuoli di Sobai, centrentotto.
The porters: the children of Shallum, the children of Ater, the children of Talmon, the children of Akkub, the children of Hatita, the children of Shobai, a hundred and thirty eight.
46 De' Netinei: i figliuoli di Siha, i figliuoli di Hasufa, i figliuoli di Tabbaot,
The Nethinims: the children of Ziha, the children of Hashupha, the children of Tabbaoth,
47 i figliuoli di Cheros, i figliuoli di Sia, i figliuoli di Padon,
The children of Keros, the children of Sia, the children of Padon,
48 i figliuoli di Lebana, i figliuoli di Hagaba, i figliuoli di Salmai,
The children of Lebana, the children of Hagaba, the children of Shalmai,
49 i figliuoli di Hanan, i figliuoli di Ghiddel, i figliuoli di Gahar,
The children of Hanan, the children of Giddel, the children of Gahar,
50 i figliuoli di Reaia, i figliuoli di Resin, i figliuoli di Necoda,
The children of Reaiah, the children of Rezin, the children of Nekoda,
51 i figliuoli di Gazzam, i figliuoli di Uzza, i figliuoli di Pasea,
The children of Gazzam, the children of Uzza, the children of Phaseah,
52 i figliuoli di Besai, i figliuoli di Meunim, i figliuoli di Nefisesim,
The children of Besai, the children of Meunim, the children of Nephishesim,
53 i figliuoli di Bacbuc, i figliuoli di Hacufa, i figliuoli di Harhur,
The children of Bakbuk, the children of Hakupha, the children of Harhur,
54 i figliuoli di Baslit, i figliuoli di Mehida, i figliuoli di Harsa,
The children of Bazlith, the children of Mehida, the children of Harsha,
55 i figliuoli di Barcos, i figliuoli di Sisera, i figliuoli di Tema,
The children of Barkos, the children of Sisera, the children of Tamah,
56 i figliuoli di Nesia, i figliuoli di Hatifa.
The children of Neziah, the children of Hatipha.
57 De' figliuoli de' servi di Salomone: i figliuoli di Sotai, i figliuoli di Soferet, i figliuoli di Perida,
The children of Solomon's servants: the children of Sotai, the children of Sophereth, the children of Perida,
58 i figliuoli di Iaala, i figliuoli di Darcon, i figliuoli di Ghiddel,
The children of Jaala, the children of Darkon, the children of Giddel,
59 i figliuoli di Sefatia, i figliuoli di Hattil, i figliuoli di Pocheret-hassebaim, i figliuoli di Amon.
The children of Shephatiah, the children of Hattil, the children of Pochereth of Zebaim, the children of Amon.
60 Tutti i Netinei, e i figliuoli de' servi di Salomone, [erano] trecennovantadue.
All the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon's servants, [were] three hundred and ninety two.
61 Or costoro, [cioè] Cherub, Addon ed Immer, i quali vennero di Tel-mela, [e di] Tel-harsa, non poterono dimostrar la casa loro paterna, nè la lor progenie se [erano] Israeliti.
And these [were] they who went up [also] from Tel-mela, Tel-haresha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer: but they could not show their fathers house, nor their seed, whether they [were] of Israel.
62 Come anche i figliuoli di Delaia, i figliuoli di Tobia, i figliuoli di Necoda, [in numero di] seicenquarantadue.
The children of Delaiah, the children of Tobiah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred and forty two.
63 E de' sacerdoti, i figliuoli di Habaia, i figliuoli di Cos, i figliuoli di Barzillai, il quale prese per moglie [una] delle figliuole di Barzillai Galaadita, e si chiamò del nome loro.
And of the priests: the children of Habaiah, the children of Koz, the children of Barzillai, who took [one] of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite for a wife, and was called after their name.
64 Costoro cercarono il [nome] loro scritto fra quelli ch'erano descritti nelle genealogie, ma non furono trovati; laonde furono appartati dal sacerdozio, come persone non consacrate.
These sought their register [among] those that were reckoned by genealogy, but it was not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from the priesthood.
65 Ed Hattirsata disse loro che non mangiassero delle cose santissime, finchè si presentasse un sacerdote con Urim e Tummim.
And the Tirshatha said to them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there should stand [up] a priest with Urim and Thummim.
66 Questa raunanza, tutta insieme, [era di] quarantaduemila trecensessanta;
The whole congregation together [was] forty two thousand three hundred and sixty.
67 oltre a' lor servi e serve, ch'[erano] settemila trecentrentasette, fra i quali [v'erano] dugenquarantacinque cantori e cantatrici.
Besides their man-servants and their maid-servants, of whom [there were] seven thousand three hundred and thirty seven: and they had two hundred and forty five singing-men and singing-women.
68 I lor cavalli [erano] settecentrentasei; i lor muli dugenquarantacinque;
Their horses, seven hundred and thirty six: their mules, two hundred and forty five:
69 i cammelli quattrocentrentacinque; gli asini seimila settecenventi.
[Their] camels, four hundred and thirty five: six thousand seven hundred and twenty asses.
70 Or una parte de' capi delle [famiglie] paterne fecero doni per l'opera. Hattirsata diede nel tesoro mille dramme d'oro, cinquanta bacini, e cinquecentrenta robe da sacerdoti.
And some of the chief of the fathers gave to the work. The Tirshatha gave to the treasure a thousand drams of gold, fifty basins, five hundred and thirty priests' garments.
71 Ed [altri] dei capi delle [famiglie] paterne diedero nel tesoro della fabbrica ventimila dramme d'oro, e duemila dugento mine d'argento.
And [some] of the chief of the fathers gave to the treasure of the work, twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand and two hundred pounds of silver.
72 E ciò che il rimanente del popolo diede, [fu] ventimila dramme d'oro, e duemila mine d'argento, e sessantasette robe da sacerdoti.
And [that] which the rest of the people gave [was] twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand pounds of silver, and sixty seven priests' garments.
73 E i sacerdoti, e i Leviti, e i portinai, e i cantori, e que' del popolo, e i Netinei, e [in somma] tutto Israele, abitarono nelle lor città; e il settimo mese essendo giunto, i figliuoli d'Israele [erano] nelle lor città.
So the priests, and the Levites, and the porters, and the singers, and [some] of the people, and the Nethinims, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities; and when the seventh month came, the children of Israel [were] in their cities.
