1 POI prese di nuovo ad insegnare, presso al mare; ed una gran moltitudine si raunò presso a lui, talchè egli, montato nella navicella, sedeva [in essa] sul mare; e tutta la moltitudine era in terra, presso del mare.
And, again, began he to be teaching by the sea; and there come together unto him a very great multitude, so that, he, into a boat, entering, was sitting upon the sea, —and, all the multitude, were, near the sea upon the land.
2 Ed egli insegnava loro molte cose in parabole, e diceva loro nella sua dottrina:
And he began to teach them, in parables, many things, and was saying unto them, in his teaching—
3 Udite: Ecco, un seminatore uscì a seminare.
Hearken! Lo! the sower went forth to sow;
4 Ed avvenne che mentre egli seminava, una parte cadde lungo la via, e gli uccelli del cielo vennero, e la mangiarono.
And it came to pass, as he sowed, some, indeed, fell by the pathway, and the birds came, and devoured it;
5 Ed un'altra cadde in luoghi pietrosi, ove non avea molta terra; e subito nacque, perciocchè non avea terreno profondo;
And, some, fell on the rocky places, [even] where it had not much earth, —and, straightway, it sprang forth, by reason of its not having depth of earth;
6 ma quando il sole fu levato, fu riarsa; e, perciocchè non avea radice, si seccò.
and, when the sun arose, it was scorched, —and, by reason of its not having root, it was dried up;
7 Ed un'altra cadde fra le spine, e le spine crebbero, e l'affogarono, e non fece frutto.
And, some, fell among the thorns, and the thorns came up and choked it, and, fruit, it yielded not;
8 Ed un'altra cadde in buona terra, e portò frutto, il quale montò, e crebbe; e portò l'uno trenta, l'altro sessanta e l'altro cento.
And, other, fell into the good ground, and was yielding fruit, coming up and growing, —and was bearing, thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold,
9 Poi egli disse: Chi ha orecchie da udire, oda.
And he was saying—He that hath ears to hear, let him hear!
10 Ora, quando egli fu in disparte coloro che lo seguitavano, co' dodici, lo domandarono della parabola.
And when he was alone they who were about him with the twelve questioned him as to the parables;
11 Ed egli disse loro: A voi è dato di conoscere il misterio del regno di Dio; ma a coloro che son di fuori tutte queste cose si propongono per parabole.
and he was saying unto them—To you, the sacred secret hath been given of the kingdom of God, whereas, to them who are outside, in parables are all things coming to pass, —that
12 Acciocchè riguardino bene, ma non veggano; e odano bene, ma non intendano; che talora non si convertano, ed i peccati non sien loro rimessi.
They may surely look and yet not see, and surely hear and yet not understand, lest once they should return and it be forgiven them.
13 Poi disse loro: Non intendete voi questa parabola? e come intenderete tutte le [altre] parabole?
And he saith unto them—Know ye not this parable? How then will ye get to know all the parables?
14 Il seminatore [è colui che] semina la parola.
The sower, soweth the word;
15 Or questi son coloro che ricevono la semenza lungo la strada, [cioè], coloro ne' quali la parola è seminata, e dopo che l'hanno udita, subito viene Satana, e toglie via la parola seminata ne' loro cuori.
And these are they beside the pathway where the word is sown, —and, as soon as they hear, straightway, cometh Satan, and snatcheth away the word which hath been sown into them;
16 E simigliantemente questi son coloro che ricevono la semenza in luoghi pietrosi, [cioè], coloro i quali, quando hanno udita la parola, prestamente la ricevono con allegrezza.
And these are likewise they upon the rocky places sown, —who, as soon as they hear the word, straightway, with joy receive it,
17 Ma non hanno in sè radice, anzi son di corta durata; e poi, avvenendo tribolazione, o persecuzione per la parola, subito sono scandalezzati.
and have no root in themselves, but, only for a season are, —afterwards, when there ariseth tribulation or persecution by reason of the word, straightway, they find cause of stumbling;
18 E questi son coloro che ricevono la semenza fra le spine, [cioè], coloro che odono la parola.
And others are they who among thorns are sown, —these are they who hear the word,
19 Ma le sollecitudini di questo secolo, e l'inganno delle ricchezze, e le cupidità delle altre cose, entrate, affogano la parola, onde diviene infruttuosa. (aiōn g165)
and, the anxieties of the age, and the deceit of wealth, and the covetings about the remaining things, entering in, choke up the word, and, unfruitful, it becometh; (aiōn g165)
20 Ma questi son coloro che hanno ricevuta la semenza in buona terra, [cioè], coloro i quali odono la parola, e la ricevono, e portano frutto, l'un trenta, e l'altro sessanta, e l'altro cento.
And those yonder are they who on the good ground are sown, —who, indeed, hear the word, and accept it, and bear fruit—thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold.
21 DISSE loro ancora: È la lampana recata, acciocchè si ponga sotto il moggio, o sotto il letto? non [è ella recata], acciocchè sia posta sopra il candelliere?
And he was saying unto them—Doth the lamp come that under the measure it should be put, or under the couch? Is it not that upon the lampstand it may be put?
22 Poichè nulla è occulto, che non debba esser manifestato; ed anche nulla è restato occulto [per lo passato: ] ma è convenuto che fosse palesato.
For it is not hidden, save that it may be made visible; neither did it get hidden away, but that it might come into a place where it could be seen.
23 Se alcuno ha orecchie da udire, oda.
If any one hath ears to hear, let him hear.
24 Disse loro ancora: Ponete mente a ciò che voi udite. Della misura che misurate, vi sarà misurato; ed a voi che udite sarà sopraggiunto.
And he was saying unto them—Be taking heed what ye are hearing: —with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured unto you, and added unto you;
25 Perciocchè a chiunque ha, sarà dato; ma chi non ha, eziandio quel ch'egli ha gli sarà tolto.
For, he that hath, it shall be given, unto him, and, he that hath not, even what he hath, shall be taken from him.
26 OLTRE a ciò disse: Il regno di Dio è come se un uomo avesse gettata la semenza in terra;
And he was saying—Thus, is the kingdom of God: As a man may cast seed upon the earth,
27 e dormisse, e si levasse di giorno, e di notte; ed [intanto] la semenza germogliasse, e crescesse nella maniera ch'egli non sa.
and be sleeping and rising, night and day, —and the seed be sprouting, and lengthening itself, —how, he, knoweth not:
28 Poichè la terra da sè stessa produce prima erba, poi spiga, poi grano compiuto nella spiga.
of itself, the earth beareth fruit, —first, a blade, afterwards, an ear, after that, full corn in the ear;
29 E quando il frutto è maturo, subito vi si mette la falce, perciocchè la mietitura è venuta.
but, as soon as the fruit yieldeth itself up, straightway, he sendeth forth the sickle, because standing by is the harvest.—
30 DICEVA ancora: A che assomiglieremo il regno di Dio? o con qual similitudine lo rappresenteremo?
And he was saying—How shall we liken the kingdom of God, or, in what parable, shall we put it?
31 [Egli è] simile ad un granel di senape, il quale, quando è seminato in terra, è il più piccolo di tutti i semi che [son] sopra la terra;
As a grain of mustard seed, —which, whensoever it may be sown upon the earth, is less than all the seeds that are upon the earth;
32 ma, dopo che è stato seminato, cresce, e si fa la maggiore di tutte l'erbe, e fa rami grandi, talchè gli uccelli del cielo possono ripararsi sotto l'ombra sua.
and, as soon as it is sown, springeth up, and becometh greater than all garden plants, and produceth large branches, so that, under the shade thereof, the birds of heaven can find shelter.
33 E per molte tali parabole proponeva loro la parola, secondo che potevano udire.
And, with many such parables as these, was he speaking unto them the word, —according as they were able to hear;
34 E non parlava loro senza similitudine; ma, in disparte, egli dichiarava ogni cosa a' suoi discepoli.
but, without a parable, was he not speaking unto them, —privately, however, unto his own disciples, was he explaining all things.
35 OR in quello stesso giorno, fattosi sera, disse loro: Passiamo all'altra riva.
And he saith unto them, on that day, when evening came, Let us cross over unto the other side;
36 E [i discepoli], licenziata la moltitudine, lo raccolsero, così come egli era, nella navicella. Or vi erano delle altre navicelle con lui.
and, dismissing the multitude, they take him with them, as he was, in the boat, and, other boats, were with him.
37 Ed un gran turbo di vento si levò, e cacciava le onde dentro alla navicella, talchè quella già si empieva.
And there ariseth a great tempest of wind, —and, the waves, were dashing over into the boat, so that, already being filled, was the boat.
38 Or egli era a poppa, dormendo sopra un guanciale. Ed essi lo destarono, e gli dissero: Maestro, non ti curi tu che noi periamo?
And he was in the stern, on the cushion, sleeping. And they arouse him, and say unto him, Teacher! carest thou not that we perish?
39 Ed egli, destatosi, sgridò il vento, e disse al mare: Taci, e sta' cheto. E il vento si acquetò, e si fece gran bonaccia.
And, roused up, he rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea—Hush! be still! and the wind lulled, and it became a great calm.
40 Poi disse loro: Perchè siete voi così timidi? come non avete voi fede?
And he said unto them—Why, are ye, fearful? Not yet, have ye faith?
41 Ed essi temettero di gran timore, e dicevano gli uni agli altri: Chi è pur costui, cui il vento ed il mare ubbidiscono?
And they were caused to fear a great fear, and were saying one to another—Who then is, this, that, both the wind and the sea, give ear unto him?
