Luca 5
1 OR avvenne che, essendogli la moltitudine addosso, per udir la parola di Dio, e stando egli in piè presso del lago di Gennesaret;
Then it came to passe, as the people preassed vpon him to heare the word of God, that he stoode by the lake of Gennesaret,
2 vide due navicelle ch'erano presso [della riva] del lago, delle quali erano smontati i pescatori, e lavavano le lor reti.
And sawe two shippes stand by the lakes side, but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nettes.
3 Ed essendo montato in una di quelle, la quale era di Simone, lo pregò che si allargasse un poco lungi da terra. E postosi a sedere, ammaestrava le turbe d'in su la navicella.
And he entred into one of the ships, which was Simons, and required him that he would thrust off a litle from the land: and he sate downe, and taught the people out of the ship.
4 E come fu restato di parlare, disse a Simone: Allargati in acqua, e calate le vostre reti per pescare.
Now when he had left speaking, he sayd vnto Simon, Lanch out into the deepe, and let downe your nettes to make a draught.
5 E Simone, rispondendo, gli disse: Maestro, noi ci siamo affaticati tutta la notte, e non abbiam preso nulla; ma pure, alla tua parola, io calerò la rete.
Then Simon answered, and sayd vnto him, Master, we haue trauailed sore all night, and haue taken nothing: neuerthelesse at thy worde I will let downe the net.
6 E fatto questo, rinchiusero gran moltitudine di pesci; e la lor rete si rompeva.
And when they had so done, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes, so that their net brake.
7 Ed accennarono a' lor compagni, ch' [erano] nell'altra navicella, che venissero per aiutarli. Ed essi vennero, ed empierono amendue le navicelle, talchè affondavano.
And they beckened to their parteners, which were in the other ship, that they shoulde come and helpe them, who came then, and filled both the ships, that they did sinke.
8 E Simon Pietro, veduto [questo], si gettò alle ginocchia di Gesù, dicendo: Signore, dipartiti da me; perciocchè io son uomo peccatore.
Now when Simon Peter saw it, he fel down at Iesus knees, saying, Lord, go from me: for I am a sinfull man.
9 Poichè spavento aveva occupato lui, e tutti coloro che [eran] con lui, per la presa de' pesci che aveano fatta.
For he was vtterly astonied, and all that were with him, for the draught of fishes which they tooke.
10 Simigliantemente ancora Giacomo, e Giovanni, figliuol di Zebedeo, ch'eran compagni di Simone. E Gesù disse a Simone: Non temere; da ora innanzi tu sarai prenditore d'uomini vivi.
And so was also Iames and Iohn the sonnes of Zebedeus, which were companions with Simon. Then Iesus sayde vnto Simon, Feare not: from henceforth thou shalt catch men.
11 Ed essi, condotte le navicelle a terra, lasciarono ogni cosa, e lo seguitarono.
And when they had brought the ships to land, they forsooke all, and followed him.
12 OR avvenne che mentre egli era in una di quelle città, ecco un uomo pien di lebbra, il quale, veduto Gesù, e gettatosi sopra la faccia in terra, lo pregò, dicendo: Signore, se tu vuoi, tu puoi mondarmi.
Nowe it came to passe, as he was in a certaine citie, beholde, there was a man full of leprosie, and when he sawe Iesus, he fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me cleane.
13 Ed egli, distesa la mano, lo toccò, dicendo: Sì, io lo voglio, sii netto. E subito la lebbra si partì da lui.
So he stretched forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will, be thou cleane. And immediately the leprosie departed from him.
14 Ed egli gli comandò di non dirlo ad alcuno; anzi va', [diss'egli], mostrati al sacerdote, ed offerisci, per la tua purificazione, secondo che Mosè ha ordinato in testimonianza a loro.
And he commanded him that hee should tell it no man: but Go, sayth he, and shew thy selfe to the Priest, and offer for thy clensing, as Moses hath commanded, for a witnes vnto them.
15 E la fama di lui si spandeva vie più; e molte turbe si raunavano per udirlo, e per esser da lui guarite delle loro infermità.
But so much more went there a fame abroad of him, and great multitudes came together to heare, and to be healed of him of their infirmities.
16 Ma egli si sottraeva ne' deserti, ed orava.
But he kept himselfe apart in the wildernes, and prayed.
17 ED avvenne un di que' giorni, ch'egli insegnava; e [quivi] sedevano de' Farisei, e de' dottori della legge, i quali eran venuti di tutte le castella della Galilea, e della Giudea, e di Gerusalemme; e la virtù del Signore era [quivi presente], per sanarli.
And it came to passe, on a certaine day, as he was teaching, that the Pharises and doctours of the Law sate by, which were come out of euery towne of Galile, and Iudea, and Hierusalem, and the power of the Lord was in him to heale them.
18 Ed ecco certi uomini, che portavano sopra un letto un uomo paralitico, e cercavano di portarlo dentro, e di metterlo davanti a lui.
Then beholde, men brought a man lying in a bed, which was taken with a palsie, and they sought meanes to bring him in, and to lay him before him.
19 E non trovando onde lo potessero metter dentro, per la moltitudine, salirono sopra il tetto della casa, e lo calaron pe' tegoli, insieme col letticello, [ivi] in mezzo, davanti a Gesù.
And when they could not finde by what way they might bring him in, because of the preasse, they went vp on the house, and let him downe through the tyling, bed and all, in the middes before Iesus.
20 Ed egli, veduta la lor fede, disse a colui: Uomo, i tuoi peccati ti son rimessi.
And when he sawe their faith, he sayd vnto him, Man, thy sinnes are forgiuen thee.
21 E gli Scribi e i Farisei presero a ragionare, dicendo: Chi è costui che pronunzia bestemmie? chi può rimettere i peccati, se non Iddio solo?
Then the Scribes and the Pharises began to reason, saying, Who is this that speaketh blasphemies? who can forgiue sinnes, but God onely?
22 Ma Gesù, riconosciuti i lor ragionamenti, fece lor motto, e disse: Che ragionate voi ne' vostri cuori?
But when Iesus perceiued their reasoning, he answered, and sayd vnto them, What reason ye in your hearts?
23 Quale è più agevole, dire: I tuoi peccati ti son rimessi, ovver dire: Levati, e cammina?
Whether is easier to say, Thy sinnes are forgiuen thee, or to say, Rise and walke?
24 Ora, acciocchè voi sappiate che il Figliuol dell'uomo ha autorità in terra di rimettere i peccati: Io ti dico (disse egli al paralitico): Levati, e togli il tuo letticello, e vattene a casa tua.
But that ye may know that that Sonne of man hath authoritie to forgiue sinnes in earth, (he sayd vnto the sicke of the palsie) I say to thee, Arise: take vp thy bed, and goe to thine house.
25 Ed egli, in quello stante, levatosi nel lor cospetto, e tolto [in su le spalle] ciò sopra di che giaceva, se ne andò a casa sua, glorificando Iddio.
And immediatly he rose vp before them, and tooke vp his bed whereon he lay, and departed to his owne house, praysing God.
26 E stupore occupò tutti, e glorificavano Iddio, ed eran pieni di paura, dicendo: Oggi noi abbiam vedute cose strane.
And they were all amased, and praysed God, and were filled with feare, saying, Doutlesse we haue seene strange things to day.
27 E DOPO queste cose, egli uscì, e vide un pubblicano, [detto] per nome Levi, che sedeva al banco della gabella, e gli disse: Seguitami.
And after that, he went foorth and sawe a Publicane named Leui, sitting at the receite of custome, and sayd vnto him, Follow me.
28 Ed egli, lasciato ogni cosa, si levò, e lo seguitò.
And he left all, rose vp, and folowed him.
29 E Levi gli fece un gran convito in casa sua; e la moltitudine di pubblicani, e di altri, ch'eran con loro a tavola, era grande.
Then Leui made him a great feast in his owne house, where there was a great company of Publicanes, and of other that sate at table with them.
30 E gli Scribi e i Farisei di quel luogo mormoravano contro a' discepoli di Gesù, dicendo: Perchè mangiate, e bevete co' pubblicani, e co' peccatori?
But they that were Scribes and Pharises among them, murmured against his disciples, saying, Why eate ye and drinke ye with Publicanes and sinners?
31 E Gesù, rispondendo, disse loro: I sani non han bisogno di medico, ma i malati.
Then Iesus answered, and sayd vnto them, They that are whole, neede not the Physician, but they that are sicke.
32 Io non son venuto per chiamare i giusti, anzi i peccatori, a ravvedimento.
I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
33 ED essi gli dissero: Perchè i discepoli di Giovanni, e simigliantemente que' de' Farisei, digiunano eglino, e fanno spesso orazioni, ed i tuoi mangiano, e bevono?
Then they said vnto him, Why do the disciples of Iohn fast often, and pray, and the disciples of the Pharises also, but thine eate and drinke?
34 Ed egli disse loro: Potete voi far digiunare quei della camera delle nozze, mentre lo sposo è con loro?
And he said vnto them, Can ye make the children of the wedding chamber to fast, as long as the bridegrome is with them?
35 Ma i giorni verranno, che lo sposo sarà loro tolto, ed allora in que' giorni digiuneranno.
But the dayes will come, euen when the bridegrome shalbe taken away from them: then shall they fast in those dayes.
36 Disse loro, oltre a ciò, una similitudine: Niuno straccia un pezzo da un vestimento nuovo per metterlo sopra un vestimento vecchio; altrimenti, egli straccia quel nuovo, e la pezza [tolta] dal nuovo non si confà al vecchio.
Againe he spake also vnto them a parable, No man putteth a piece of a newe garment into an olde vesture: for then the newe renteth it, and the piece taken out of the newe, agreeth not with the olde.
37 Parimente, niuno mette vin nuovo in otri vecchi; altrimenti, il vin nuovo rompe gli otri, ed esso si spande, e gli otri si perdono.
Also no man powreth newe wine into olde vessels: for then ye new wine wil breake the vessels, and it will runne out, and the vessels will perish:
38 Ma convien mettere il vin nuovo in otri nuovi, ed amendue si conserveranno.
But newe wine must be powred into newe vessels: so both are preserued.
39 Niuno ancora, avendo bevuto del [vin] vecchio, vuol subito del nuovo; perciocchè egli dice: Il vecchio val meglio.
Also no man that drinketh olde wine, straightway desireth newe: for he sayth, The olde is more profitable.
