Luca 15
1 OR tutti i pubblicani e peccatori, si accostavano a lui, per udirlo.
And pupplicans and synful men weren neiyynge to him, to here hym.
2 Ed i Farisei e gli Scribi ne mormoravano, dicendo: Costui accoglie i peccatori, e mangia con loro.
And the Farisees and scribis grutchiden, seiynge, For this resseyueth synful men, and etith with hem.
3 Ed egli disse loro questa parabola.
And he spak to hem this parable,
4 Chi è l'uomo d'infra voi, il quale, avendo cento pecore, se ne perde una, non lasci le novantanove nel deserto, e non vada dietro alla perduta, finchè l'abbia trovata?
and seide, What man of you that hath an hundrith scheep, and if he hath lost oon of hem, whethir he leeueth not nynti and nyne in desert, and goith to it that perischide, til he fynde it?
5 Ed avendola trovata, non se la metta sopra le spalle tutto allegro?
And whanne he hath foundun it, he ioieth, and leyith it on hise schuldris; and he cometh hoom,
6 E venuto a casa, non chiami insieme gli amici, e i vicini, dicendo: Rallegratevi meco, perciocchè io ho trovata la mia pecora, ch'era perduta?
and clepith togidir hise freendis and neiyboris, and seith to hem, Be ye glad with me, for Y haue founde my scheep, that hadde perischid.
7 Io vi dico, che così vi sarà letizia in cielo per un peccatore ravveduto, più che per novantanove giusti, che non hanno bisogno di ravvedimento.
And Y seie to you, so ioye schal be in heuene on o synful man doynge penaunce, more than on nynti and nyne iuste, that han no nede to penaunce.
8 Ovvero, qual'è la donna, che, avendo dieci dramme, se ne perde una, non accenda la lampana, e non ispazzi la casa, e non cerchi studiosamente, finchè l'abbia trovata?
Or what womman hauynge ten besauntis, and if sche hath lost oo besaunt, whether sche teendith not a lanterne, and turneth vpsodoun the hows, and sekith diligentli, til that sche fynde it?
9 E quando [l]'ha trovata, non chiami insieme le amiche, e le vicine, dicendo: Rallegratevi meco, perciocchè io ho trovata la dramma, la quale io avea perduta?
And whanne sche hath foundun, sche clepith togidir freendis and neiyboris, and seith, Be ye glad with me, for Y haue founde the besaunt, that Y hadde lost.
10 Così, vi dico, vi sarà allegrezza fra gli angeli di Dio, per un peccatore ravveduto.
So Y seie to you, ioye schal be bifor aungels of God on o synful man doynge penaunce.
11 DISSE ancora: Un uomo avea due figliuoli.
And he seide, A man hadde twei sones;
12 E il più giovane di loro disse al padre: Padre, dammi la parte de' beni che mi tocca. E [il padre] spartì loro i beni.
and the yonger of hem seide to the fadir, Fadir, yyue me the porcioun of catel, that fallith to me. And he departide to hem the catel.
13 E, pochi giorni appresso, il figliuol più giovane, raccolto ogni cosa, se ne andò in viaggio in paese lontano, e quivi dissipò le sue facoltà, vivendo dissolutamente.
And not aftir many daies, whanne alle thingis weren gederid togider, the yonger sone wente forth in pilgrymage in to a fer cuntre; and there he wastide hise goodis in lyuynge lecherously.
14 E, dopo ch'egli ebbe speso ogni cosa, una grave carestia venne in quel paese, talchè egli cominciò ad aver bisogno.
And aftir that he hadde endid alle thingis, a strong hungre was maad in that cuntre, and he bigan to haue nede.
15 E andò, e si mise con uno degli abitatori di quella contrada, il qual lo mandò a' suoi campi, a pasturare i porci.
And he wente, and drouy hym to oon of the citeseyns of that cuntre. And he sente hym in to his toun, to fede swyn.
16 Ed egli desiderava d'empiersi il corpo delle silique, che i porci mangiavano, ma niuno gliene dava.
And he coueitide to fille his wombe of the coddis that the hoggis eeten, and no man yaf hym.
17 Ora, ritornato a sè medesimo, disse: Quanti mercenari di mio padre hanno del pane largamente, ed io mi muoio di fame!
And he turnede ayen to hym silf, and seide, Hou many hirid men in my fadir hous han plente of looues; and Y perische here thorouy hungir.
18 Io mi leverò, e me ne andrò a mio padre, e gli dirò: Padre, io ho peccato contro al cielo, e davanti a te;
Y schal rise vp, and go to my fadir, and Y schal seie to hym, Fadir, Y haue synned in to heuene, and bifor thee;
19 e non son più degno d'esser chiamato tuo figliuolo; fammi come uno de' tuoi mercenari.
and now Y am not worthi to be clepid thi sone, make me as oon of thin hirid men.
20 Egli adunque si levò, e venne a suo padre; ed essendo egli ancora lontano, suo padre lo vide, e n'ebbe pietà; e corse, e gli si gettò al collo, e lo baciò.
And he roos vp, and cam to his fadir. And whanne he was yit afer, his fadir saiy hym, and was stirrid bi mercy. And he ran, and fel on his necke, and kisside hym.
21 E il figliuolo gli disse: Padre, io ho peccato contro al cielo, e davanti a te, e non son più degno d'esser chiamato tuo figliuolo.
And the sone seide to hym, Fadir, Y haue synned in to heuene, and bifor thee; and now Y am not worthi to be clepid thi sone.
22 Ma il padre disse a' suoi servitori: Portate qua la più bella vesta, e vestitelo, e mettetegli un anello in dito, e delle scarpe ne' piedi.
And the fadir seide to hise seruauntis, Swithe brynge ye forth the firste stoole, and clothe ye hym, and yyue ye a ryng in his hoond,
23 E menate fuori il vitello ingrassato, ed ammazzatelo, e mangiamo, e rallegriamoci;
and schoon on hise feet; and brynge ye a fat calf, and sle ye, and ete we, and make we feeste.
24 perciocchè questo mio figliuolo era morto, ed è tornato a vita; era perduto, ed è stato ritrovato. E si misero a far gran festa.
For this my sone was deed, and hath lyued ayen; he perischid, and is foundun. And alle men bigunnen to ete.
25 Or il figliuol maggiore di esso era a' campi; e come egli se ne veniva, essendo presso della casa, udì il concento e le danze.
But his eldere sone was in the feeld; and whanne he cam, and neiyede to the hous, he herde a symfonye and a croude.
26 E, chiamato uno de' servitori, domandò che si volesser dire quelle cose.
And he clepide oon of the seruauntis, and axide, what these thingis weren.
27 Ed egli gli disse: Il tuo fratello è venuto, e tuo padre ha ammazzato il vitello ingrassato, perciocchè l'ha ricoverato sano e salvo.
And he seide to hym, Thi brother is comun, and thi fadir slewe a fat calf, for he resseyuede hym saaf.
28 Ma egli si adirò, e non volle entrare; laonde suo padre uscì, e lo pregava [d'entrare].
And he was wrooth, and wolde not come in. Therfor his fadir wente out, and bigan to preye hym.
29 Ma egli, rispondendo, disse al padre: Ecco, già tanti anni io ti servo, e non ho giammai trapassato alcun tuo comandamento; e pur giammai tu non mi hai dato un capretto, per rallegrarmi co' miei amici.
And he answerde to his fadir, and seide, Lo! so many yeeris Y serue thee, and Y neuer brak thi comaundement; and thou neuer yaf to me a kidde, that Y with my freendis schulde haue ete.
30 Ma, quando questo tuo figliuolo, che ha mangiati i tuoi beni con le meretrici, è venuto, tu gli hai ammazzato il vitello ingrassato.
But aftir that this thi sone, that hath deuourid his substaunce with horis, cam, thou hast slayn to hym a fat calf.
31 Ed egli gli disse: Figliuolo, tu sei sempre meco, e ogni cosa mia è tua.
And he seide to hym, Sone, thou art euer more with me, and alle my thingis ben thine.
32 Or conveniva far festa, e rallegrarsi, perciocchè questo tuo fratello era morto, ed è tornato a vita, era perduto, ed è stato ritrovato.
But it bihofte for to make feeste, and to haue ioye; for this thi brother was deed, and lyuede ayen; he perischide, and is foundun.
