Giudici 21
1 OR gl'Israeliti aveano giurato in Mispa, dicendo: Niuno di noi darà la sua figliuola per moglie ad alcun Beniaminita.
And [the] man of Israel he had sworn at Mizpah saying anyone of us not he will give daughter his to Benjamin to a wife.
2 Poi il popolo venne alla Casa di Dio, e stette quivi fino alla sera davanti a Dio; e alzò la voce, e pianse d'un gran pianto, e disse:
And it came the people Beth-el and they sat there until the evening before God and they lifted up voice their and they wept weeping great.
3 Perchè, Signore Iddio d'Israele, è questo avvenuto in Israele, che oggi una tribù d'Israele sia venuta meno?
And they said why? O Yahweh [the] God of Israel has it happened this [thing] in Israel to be missing this day from Israel a tribe one.
4 E il giorno seguente, il popolo si levò la mattina, ed edificò quivi un altare, e offerse olocausti, e sacrificii da render grazie.
And it was from [the] next day and they rose early the people and they built there an altar and they offered up burnt offerings and peace offerings.
5 Poi i figliuoli d'Israele dissero: Chi, d'infra tutte le tribù d'Israele, non è salito alla raunanza appresso al Signore? conciossiachè un giuramento grande fosse stato fatto contro a chi non salirebbe in Mispa appresso al Signore, dicendo: Egli del tutto sarà fatto morire.
And they said [the] people of Israel who? [is [the] one] who not he went up in the assembly from all [the] tribes of Israel to Yahweh for the oath great it was to [the one] who not he went up to Yahweh Mizpah saying certainly he will be put to death.
6 I figliuoli d'Israele adunque, pentendosi di [quello che aveano fatto a]'Beniaminiti, lor fratelli, dissero: Oggi [è] stata ricisa una tribù d'Israele.
And they had compassion [the] people of Israel to Benjamin brother its and they said it has been cut off this day a tribe one from Israel.
7 Che faremo noi inverso quelli che son rimasti, per delle donne? poichè noi abbiamo giurato per lo Signore, che noi non daremo loro delle nostre figliuole per mogli.
What? will we do for them for [those who] remain for wives and we we have sworn by Yahweh to not to give to them any of daughters our to wives.
8 Poi dissero: Chi [è quell]'unica [comunità], d'infra le tribù d'Israele, che non è salita in Mispa appresso al Signore? Ed ecco, niuno di Iabes di Galaad era venuto nel campo alla raunanza.
And they said who? [is the] one from [the] tribes of Israel which not it went up to Yahweh Mizpah and there! not he had come anyone to the camp from Jabesh Gilead to the assembly.
9 E fattasi la rassegna del popolo, ecco, quivi non [v'era] alcuno degli abitanti di Iabes di Galaad;
And it was mustered the people and there! there not there [was] anyone from [the] inhabitants of Jabesh Gilead.
10 perciò la raunanza vi mandò dodicimila uomini, de' più valenti, e diede loro ordine, dicendo: Andate, e percotete gli abitanti di Iabes di Galaad a fil di spada, con le donne, e co' piccoli fanciulli.
And they sent there the congregation two plus ten thousand man from [the] sons of strength and they commanded them saying go and you will strike [the] inhabitants of Jabesh Gilead to [the] mouth of [the] sword and the women and the little one[s].
11 Or ecco ciò che voi farete: Distruggete al modo dell'interdetto ogni maschio, ed ogni donna che ha conosciuto carnalmente uomo.
And this [is] the thing which you will do every male and every woman [who] has known lying of a male you will totally destroy.
12 Ed essi trovarono quattrocento fanciulle vergini d'infra gli abitanti di Iabes di Galaad, le quali non aveano conosciuto carnalmente uomo; ed essi le menarono al campo, in Silo, ch'[è] nel paese di Canaan.
And they found of [the] inhabitants of - Jabesh Gilead four hundred young woman virgin[s] who not she had known a man to lying of a male and they brought them to the camp Shiloh which [is] in [the] land of Canaan.
13 Allora tutta la raunanza mandò a parlare a' figliuoli di Beniamino, ch'[erano] nella rupe di Rimmon, e bandirono loro la pace.
And they sent all the congregation and they spoke to [the] descendants of Benjamin who [were] at [the] rock of Rimmon and they proclaimed to them peace.
14 Ed allora i figliuoli di Beniamino ritornarono, e [i figliuoli d'Israele] diedero loro le donne che aveano lasciate in vita d'infra le donne di Iabes di Galaad; ma non ve ne fu abbastanza per loro.
And it returned Benjamin at the time that and they gave to them the women whom they had preserved alive from [the] women of Jabesh Gilead and not they found for them so.
15 E il popolo si pentì di [quello che avea fatto a] Beniamino; perciocchè il Signore avea fatta una rottura nelle tribù d'Israele.
And the people it had compassion to Benjamin for he had made Yahweh a breach in [the] tribes of Israel.
16 Laonde gli Anziani della raunanza dissero: Che faremo noi a quelli che restano, per delle donne? poichè le donne sono state distrutte d'infra i Beniaminiti?
And they said [the] elders of the congregation what? will we do for [those who] remain for wives for she is destroyed from Benjamin woman.
17 Poi dissero: Quelli che sono scampati possederanno ciò ch'era di Beniamino, e non sarà spenta una tribù d'Israele.
And they said a possession of [the] escaped remnant [belongs] to Benjamin and not it will be wiped out a tribe from Israel.
18 Or noi non possiam dar loro mogli delle nostre figliuole; conciossiachè i figliuoli d'Israele abbiano giurato, dicendo: Maledetto [sia] chi darà moglie a' Beniaminiti.
And we not we are able to give to them wives any of daughters our for they had sworn [the] people of Israel saying [be] cursed [one who] gives a wife to Benjamin.
19 Perciò dissero: Ecco, la solennità annuale del Signore [si celebra] in Silo, [nel luogo] che è dal Settentrione della Casa di Dio, e dal sol levante della grande strada, che sale dalla Casa di Dio in Sichem, e dal Mezzodì di Lebona.
And they said here! [the] festival of Yahweh [is] in Shiloh from days - days towards which [is] from north-ward of Beth-el [the] rising of towards the sun of [the] highway which goes up from Beth-el Shechem towards and from [the] south to Lebonah.
20 E diedero ordine a' figliuoli di Beniamino, dicendo: Andate, e ponetevi in agguato nelle vigne.
(And they commanded *QK) [the] descendants of Benjamin saying go and you will lie in wait in the vineyards.
21 E riguardate; ed ecco, quando le fanciulle di Silo usciranno per far balli, allora uscite delle vigne, e rapitevene ciascuno una per sua moglie, e andatevene al paese di Beniamino.
And you will see and there! if they will come out [the] daughters of Shiloh to dance in dances and you will go out from the vineyards and you will seize for yourselves each man wife his from [the] daughters of Shiloh and you will go [the] land of Benjamin.
22 E, quando i lor padri, ovvero i lor fratelli, verranno a noi per litigar[ne], noi diremo loro: Datele a noi di grazia; perciocchè in quella guerra non abbiamo presa per ciascun [di loro] la sua donna; conciossiachè voi non le abbiate loro date, onde ora siate colpevoli.
And it will be that they will come fathers their or brothers their (to make a complaint *Qk) to us and we will say to them show favor for to us them for not we took each man wife his in the battle for not you you gave [them] to them about this time you will be guilty.
23 I figliuoli di Beniamino adunque fecero così, e tolsero delle mogli secondo il numero loro, d'infra quelle che ballavano, le quali essi rapirono; poi se ne andarono, e ritornarono alla loro eredità; e riedificarono le città e abitarono in esse.
And they did thus [the] descendants of Benjamin and they carried off wives to number their from the dancers whom they seized and they went and they returned to inheritance their and they rebuilt the cities and they dwelt in them.
24 E in quel medesimo tempo i figliuoli d'Israele se ne andarono di là ciascuno alla sua tribù, e alla sua nazione, e si ridussero di là ciascuno alla sua eredità.
And they dispersed from there [the] people of Israel at the time that each man to tribe his and to clan his and they went out from there each man to inheritance his.
25 In quel tempo non [v'era] alcun re in Israele; ciascuno faceva ciò che gli piaceva.
In the days those there not [was] a king in Israel each man the right in own eyes his he will do.
