Giudici 11
1 OR Iefte Galaadita era un valente uomo, ed era figliuolo d'una meretrice; e Galaad l'avea generato.
And Jephthah the Gileadite he was a mighty [man] of strength and he [was] [the] son of a woman a prostitute and he fathered Gilead Jephthah.
2 E la moglie di Galaad gli avea partoriti de' figliuoli; e quando i figliuoli della moglie furono grandi, cacciarono Iefte, e gli dissero: Tu non avrai eredità nella casa di nostro padre; perciocchè tu [sei] figliuolo d'una donna straniera.
And she bore [the] wife of Gilead to him sons and they grew up [the] sons of the wife and they drove out Jephthah and they said to him not you will have an inheritance in [the] house of father our for [are] [the] son of a woman another you.
3 E Iefte se ne fuggì d'innanzi a' suoi fratelli, e dimorò nel paese di Tob; e presso a lui si adunarono degli uomini da nulla, e uscivano fuori con lui.
And he fled Jephthah [away] from before brothers his and he dwelt in [the] land of Tob and they joined themselves to Jephthah men unprincipled and they went out with him.
4 E, dopo alquanto tempo, avvenne che i figliuoli di Ammon fecero guerra ad Israele.
And it was from days and they fought [the] people of Ammon with Israel.
5 E, mentre i figliuoli di Ammon facevano guerra ad Israele, gli Anziani di Galaad andarono a prender Iefte nel paese di Tob.
And it was just when they fought [the] people of Ammon with Israel and they went [the] elders of Gilead to fetch Jephthah from [the] land of Tob.
6 E dissero a Iefte: Vieni, e sii nostro capitano; acciocchè noi combattiamo contro a' figliuoli di Ammon.
And they said to Jephthah come! and you will become of us a commander so let us fight against [the] people of Ammon.
7 Ma Iefte disse agli Anziani di Galaad: Non mi avete voi odiato, e cacciato della casa di mio padre? perchè dunque venite a me, ora che voi siete distretti?
And he said Jephthah to [the] elders of Gilead ¿ not you did you hate me and did you drive out? me from [the] house of father my and why? have you come to me now just when [is] distress to you.
8 E gli Anziani di Galaad dissero a Iefte: Perciò siamo noi ora ritornati a te, acciocchè tu venga con noi, e combatta contro a' figliuoli di Ammon; e che tu sii capo di tutti gli abitanti di Galaad.
And they said [the] elders of Gilead to Jephthah therefore now we have returned to you and you will come with us and you will fight against [the] people of Ammon and you will become of us chief of all [the] inhabitants of Gilead.
9 E Iefte disse agli Anziani di Galaad: Se voi mi riconducete per combattere contro a' figliuoli di Ammon, e il Signore li mette in mio potere, sarò io vostro capo?
And he said Jephthah to [the] elders of Gilead if [are] bringing back you me to fight against [the] people of Ammon and he will deliver up Yahweh them before me I I will become of you chief.
10 E gli Anziani di Galaad dissero a Iefte: Il Signore attenda [a quello che diciamo] fra noi, se non facciamo secondo che tu hai detto.
And they said [the] elders of Gilead to Jephthah Yahweh he will be hearing between us if not according to word your so we will do.
11 Iefte adunque andò con gli Anziani di Galaad; e il popolo lo costituì capo e condottiere sopra sè; e Iefte pronunziò davanti al Signore, in Mispa, tutte le parole ch'egli avea [prima] dette.
And he went Jephthah with [the] elders of Gilead and they made the people him over them into chief and into commander and he spoke Jephthah all words his before Yahweh in Mizpah.
12 Poi Iefte mandò ambasciadori al re de' figliuoli di Ammon, a dir[gli: ] Che [v'è] egli fra me e te, che tu sei venuto contro a me, per far guerra nel mio paese?
And he sent Jephthah messengers to [the] king of [the] people of Ammon saying what? [is] to me and to you that you have come to me to wage war against land my.
13 E il re de' figliuoli di Ammon disse agli ambasciadori di Iefte: [Io son venuto], perciocchè, quando Israele salì fuor di Egitto, prese il mio paese, dall'Arnon fino a Iabboc, e infino al Giordano; ora dunque rendimi quelle [contrade] amichevolmente.
And he said [the] king of [the] people of Ammon to [the] messengers of Jephthah that it took Israel land my when came up it from Egypt from [the] Arnon and to the Jabbok and to the Jordan and therefore restore! them in peace.
14 E Iefte mandò di nuovo ambasciadori al re de' figliuoli di Ammon,
And he repeated again Jephthah and he sent messengers to [the] king of [the] people of Ammon.
15 a dirgli: Così dice Iefte: Israele non prese il paese di Moab, nè il paese de' figliuoli di Ammon.
And he said to him thus he says Jephthah not it has taken Israel [the] land of Moab and [the] land of [the] people of Ammon.
16 Anzi, dopo che Israele fu salito fuor di Egitto, e fu camminato per lo deserto fino al mar rosso, e fu giunto a Cades,
That when came up they from Egypt and it went Israel in the wilderness to [the] sea of reed[s] and it came Kadesh towards.
17 mandò ambasciadori al re di Edom, a dir[gli] Deh! [lascia] che io passi per lo tuo paese; ma il re di Edom nol consentì; mandò eziandio al re di Moab, e anch'egli non volle. Laonde, dopo che Israele fu dimorato in Cades,
And it sent Israel messengers - to [the] king of Edom - saying let me pass please in land your and not he listened [the] king of Edom and also to [the] king of Moab it sent and not he was willing and it remained Israel at Kadesh.
18 camminò per lo deserto, e circuì il paese di Edom, e il paese di Moab, e giunse al lato orientale del paese di Moab, e si accampò di là dall'Arnon, e non entrò dentro a' confini di Moab, consiossiachè l'Arnon [sia] il confine di Moab.
And it went in the wilderness and it went around [the] land of Edom and [the] land of Moab and it came from [the] rising of [the] sun of [the] land of Moab and they encamped! on [the] other side of [the] Arnon and not they went in [the] territory of Moab for [the] Arnon [was] [the] border of Moab.
19 E Israele mandò ambasciadori a Sihon, re degli Amorrei, re di Hesbon, e dirgli: Deh! [lascia] che noi passiamo per lo tuo paese, finchè [siamo giunti] al nostro luogo.
And it sent Israel messengers to Sihon [the] king of the Amorite[s] [the] king of Heshbon and it said to him Israel let us pass please in land your to own place my.
20 Ma Sihon non si fidò d'Israele, ch'egli passasse per li suoi confini; anzi adunò tutta la sua gente, e con essa si accampò in Iaas, e combattè con Israele.
And not he trusted Sihon Israel to pass in territory his and he gathered Sihon all people his and they encamped at Jahaz and he fought with Israel.
21 E il Signore Iddio d'Israele diede Sihon, e tutta la sua gente, nelle mani degl'Israeliti, i quali li percossero, e conquistarono tutto il paese degli Amorrei, che abitavano in quel paese.
And he gave Yahweh [the] God of Israel Sihon and all people his in [the] hand of Israel and they defeated them and it took possession of Israel all [the] land of the Amorite[s] [who] dwelt of the land that.
22 Conquistarono eziandio tutti i confini degli Amorrei, dall'Arnon fino a Iabboc, e dal deserto fino al Giordano.
And they took possession of all [the] territory of the Amorite[s] from [the] Arnon and to the Jabbok and from the wilderness and to the Jordan.
23 Ora dunque, avendo il Signore Iddio d'Israele cacciati gli Amorrei d'innanzi ad Israele, suo popolo, possederesti tu il lor paese?
And now Yahweh - [the] God of Israel he has dispossessed the Amorite[s] from before people his Israel and you will you take possession of? it.
24 Non possederesti tu ciò che Chemos, tuo dio, ti avrebbe dato a possedere? noi altresì possederemo [il paese di] tutti quelli che il Signore Iddio nostro avrà cacciati d'innanzi a noi.
¿ Not [that] which he will cause to possess you Chemosh god your it will you take possession of and all that he has dispossessed Yahweh God our from before us it we will take possession of.
25 Ed ora vali tu in alcun modo meglio che Balac, figliuolo di Sippor, re di Moab? contese egli con Israele, o fecegli guerra?
And now ¿ really good [are] you more than Balak [the] son of Zippor [the] king of Moab ¿ really did he quarrel with Israel or? ever did he wage war against them.
26 Essendo Israele dimorato in Hesbon, e nelle terre del suo territorio, e in Aroer, e nelle terre del suo territorio, e in tutte le città che [sono] lungo l'Arnon, lo spazio di trecent'anni, perchè non le avete voi riscosse in quel tempo?
When dwelt Israel in Heshbon and in daughters its and in Aroer and in daughters its and in all the cities which [were] on [the] sides of [the] Arnon three hundred year[s] and why? not did you recover [them] at the time that.
27 E anche io non t'ho offeso; e tu procedi malvagiamente inverso me, guerreggiando contro a me. Il Signore, [che è] il Giudice, giudichi oggi fra i figliuoli d'Israele e i figliuoli di Ammon.
And I not I have sinned to you and you [are] doing with me evil by waging war against me may he judge Yahweh the judge this day between [the] people of Israel and between [the] people of Ammon.
28 Ma il re de' figliuoli di Ammon non attese alle parole, che Iefte gli avea mandato a dire.
And not he listened [the] king of [the] people of Ammon to [the] words of Jephthah which he sent to him.
29 E lo Spirito del Signore fu sopra Iefte, ed egli traversò Galaad e Manasse, e passò in Mispe di Galaad, e di Mispe di Galaad passò a' figliuoli di Ammon.
And it was on Jephthah [the] spirit of Yahweh and he passed through Gilead and Manasseh and he passed through Mizpah of Gilead and from Mizpah of Gilead he he passed on [the] people of Ammon.
30 E Iefte votò un voto al Signore, e disse: Se pur tu mi dài i figliuoli di Ammon nelle mani;
And he vowed Jephthah a vow to Yahweh and he said certainly [if] you will give [the] people of Ammon in hand my.
31 quando io ritornerò in pace da' figliuoli di Ammon, ciò che uscirà dell'uscio di casa mia sarà del Signore, e io l'offerirò in olocausto.
And it will be whatever comes out which it will come out from [the] doors of house my to meet me when return I in peace from [the] people of Ammon and it will belong to Yahweh and I will offer up it a burnt offering.
32 Iefte adunque passò a' figliuoli di Ammon, per combatter con loro; e il Signore li diede nelle mani di esso.
And he passed on Jephthah to [the] people of Ammon to fight against them and he gave them Yahweh in hand his.
33 Ed egli li percosse d'una grandissima sconfitta, da Aroer fino a Minnit, venti città; e fino alla pianura delle vigne. E così i figliuoli di Ammon furono abbassati dinanzi ai figliuoli d'Israele.
And he defeated them from Aroer and until coming you Minnith twenty citi[es] and to Abel Keramim a defeat great very and they were subdued [the] people of Ammon from before [the] people of Israel.
34 Ora, [come] Iefte ritornava a casa sua in Mispe, ecco, la sua figliuola gli uscì incontro con tamburi, e con flauti; or ella era unica e sola, ed egli non avea altri [proceduto] da lui, nè figliuolo, nè figliuola.
And he came Jephthah Mizpah to house his and there! daughter his [was] coming out to meet him with tambourines and with dancing and only she [was] an only [child] not [belonged] to him from him a son or a daughter.
35 E, come egli la vide, stracciò i suoi vestimenti, e disse: Ahi! figliuola mia; tu mi hai affatto abbattuto, e sei di quelli che mi conturbano; conciossiachè io abbia aperta la mia bocca al Signore, e non possa ritrarmene.
And it was when saw he her and he tore clothes his and he said alas! O daughter my certainly you have brought low me and you you are among [those who] trouble me and I I have opened mouth my to Yahweh and not I am able to turn back.
36 Ed ella gli disse: Padre mio, se pur tu hai aperta la bocca al Signore, fammi come t'è uscito di bocca; poichè il Signore ha fatte le tue vendette sopra i figliuoli di Ammon, tuoi nemici.
And she said to him O father my you have opened mouth your to Yahweh do to me just as it has come out from mouth your after that he did for you Yahweh vengeance from enemies your from [the] people of Ammon.
37 Poi disse a suo padre: Facciamisi questo: Lasciami per due mesi, acciocchè io vada su e giù per li monti, e pianga la mia verginità, con le mie compagne.
And she said to father her let it be done for me the thing this refrain from me two months so let me go and I will go down on the mountains so I may weep on virginiti my I (and companions my. *QK)
38 Ed egli [le] disse: Va'. Così la lasciò andare per due mesi. Ed ella andò con le sue compagne, e pianse la sua verginità su per li monti.
And he said go and he sent away her two months and she went she and companions her and she wept on virginiti her on the mountains.
39 E, al termine di due mesi, ella ritornò a suo padre, ed egli le fece secondo il voto ch'egli avea votato. Or ella non avea conosciuto uomo. E di qui nacque l'usanza in Israele,
And it was from [the] end of - two months and she returned to father her and he did to her vow his which he had vowed and she not she had known a man and it was a custom in Israel.
40 che le figliuole d'Israele andavano ogni anno a far lamento della figliuola di Iefte Galaadita, quattro giorni dell'anno.
From days - days towards they go [the] daughters of Israel to recount for [the] daughter of Jephthah the Gileadite four days in the year.
