Genesi 9
1 E IDDIO benedisse Noè, e i suoi figliuoli; e disse loro; Fruttate, e moltiplicate, e riempiete la terra.
And God blessed Noah and his sonnes, and said to them, Bring foorth fruite, and multiplie, and replenish the earth.
2 E la paura e lo spavento di voi sia sopra tutte le bestie della terra, e sopra tutti gli uccelli del cielo; [essi] vi son dati nelle mani, insieme con tutto ciò che serpe sopra la terra, e tutti i pesci del mare.
Also the feare of you, and the dread of you shalbe vpon euery beast of the earth, and vpon euery foule of the heauen, vpon all that moueth on the earth, and vpon all the fishes of the sea: into your hand are they deliuered.
3 Ogni cosa che si muove, ed ha vita, vi sarà per cibo; io ve le do tutte, come l'erbe verdi.
Euery thing that moueth and liueth, shall be meate for you: as the greene herbe, haue I giuen you all things.
4 Ma pur non mangiate la carne con l'anima sua, [ch'è] il suo sangue.
But flesh with the life thereof, I meane, with the blood thereof, shall ye not eate.
5 E certamente io ridomanderò [conto del] vostro sangue, per le vostre persone; io ne ridomanderò [conto] ad ogni bestia, ed agli uomini; io ridomanderò [conto] della vita dell'uomo a qualunque suo fratello.
For surely I will require your blood, wherein your liues are: at the hand of euery beast will I require it: and at the hand of man, euen at the hand of a mans brother will I require the life of man.
6 Il sangue di colui che spanderà il sangue dell'uomo sarà sparso dall'uomo; perciocchè Iddio ha fatto l'uomo alla sua immagine.
Who so sheadeth mans blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God hath he made man.
7 Voi dunque fruttate e moltiplicate; generate copiosamente sulla terra, e crescete in essa.
But bring ye forth fruite and multiplie: grow plentifully in the earth, and increase therein.
8 Poi Iddio parlò a Noè, ed a' suoi figliuoli con lui, dicendo:
God spake also to Noah and to his sonnes with him, saying,
9 E quant'è a me, ecco, io fermo il mio patto con voi, e con la vostra progenie dopo voi;
Behold, I, euen I establish my couenant with you, and with your seede after you,
10 e con ogni animal vivente ch'[è] con voi, così degli uccelli, come degli animali domestici, e di tutte le fiere della terra, con voi; così con quelle che sono uscite fuor dell'Arca, come con ogni [altra] bestia della terra.
And with euery liuing creature that is with you, with the foule, with the cattell, and with euery beast of the earth with you, from all that goe out of the Arke, vnto euery beast of the earth.
11 Io fermo il mio patto con voi, che ogni carne non sarà più distrutta per le acque del diluvio, e che non vi sarà più diluvio, per guastar la terra.
And my couenant will I establish with you, that from henceforth all flesh shall not be rooted out by ye waters of the flood, neither shall there be a flood to destroy the earth any more.
12 Oltre a ciò, Iddio disse: Questo [sarà] il segno del patto che io fo fra me e voi e tutti gli animali viventi, che [son] con voi, in perpetuo per ogni generazione.
Then God saide, This is the token of the couenant which I make betweene me and you, and betweene euery liuing thing, that is with you vnto perpetuall generations.
13 Io ho messo il mio Arco nella nuvola; ed esso sarà per segno del patto fra me e la terra.
I haue set my bowe in the cloude, and it shalbe for a signe of the couenant betweene me and the earth.
14 Ed avverrà che, quando io avrò coperta la terra di nuvole, l'Arco apparirà nella nuvola.
And when I shall couer the earth with a cloud, and the bowe shall be seene in the cloude,
15 Ed io mi ricorderò del mio patto, ch'[è] fra me e voi, ed ogni animal vivente, di qualunque carne; e le acque non faranno più diluvio, per distruggere ogni carne.
Then will I remember my couenant, which is betweene me and you, and betweene euery liuing thing in all flesh, and there shalbe no more waters of a flood to destroy all flesh.
16 L'Arco adunque sarà nella nuvola, ed io lo riguarderò, per ricordarmi del patto perpetuo, fra Dio ed ogni animal vivente, di qualunque carne ch'[è] sopra la terra.
Therefore the bowe shalbe in the cloude, that I may see it, and remember the euerlasting couenant betweene God, and euery liuing thing in all flesh that is vpon the earth.
17 Così Iddio disse a Noè: Questo [è] il segno del patto, che io ho fermato fra me ed ogni carne ch'[è] sopra la terra.
God said yet to Noah, This is the signe of the couenant, which I haue established betweene me and all flesh that is vpon the earth.
18 OR i figliuoli di Noè, che uscirono fuor dell'Arca, furono Sem, Cam e Iafet.
Nowe the sonnes of Noah going foorth of the Arke, were Shem and Ham and Iapheth. And Ham is the father of Canaan.
19 E Cam fu padre di Canaan. Questi tre [furono] figliuoli di Noè; e da essi, sparsi per tutta la terra, ella è stata popolata.
These are the three sonnes of Noah, and of them was the whole earth ouerspred.
20 E Noè cominciò [ad esser] lavorator della terra e piantò la vigna.
Noah also began to be an husband man and planted a vineyard.
21 E bevve del vino, e s'inebbriò, e si scoperse in mezzo del suo tabernacolo.
And he drunke of ye wine and was drunken, and was vncouered in the middes of his tent.
22 E Cam, padre di Canaan, vide le vergogne di suo padre, e [lo] rapportò fuori a' suoi due fratelli.
And when Ham the father of Canaan sawe the nakednesse of his father, he tolde his two brethren without.
23 Ma Sem e Iafet presero un mantello, e se lo misero amendue in su le spalle; e, camminando a ritroso, copersero le vergogne del padre loro; e le faccie loro [erano volte] indietro, tal che non videro le vergogne del padre loro.
Then tooke Shem and Iapheth a garment, and put it vpon both their shoulders, and went backwarde, and couered the nakednesse of their father with their faces backwarde: so they sawe not their fathers nakednesse.
24 E, quando Noè si fu svegliato dal suo vino, seppe ciò che gli avea fatto il suo figliuol minore.
Then Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his yonger sonne had done vnto him,
25 E disse: Maledetto [sia] Canaan; sia servo de' servi de' suoi fratelli.
And said, Cursed be Canaan: a seruant of seruants shall he be vnto his brethren.
26 Ma disse: Benedetto [sia] il Signore Iddio di Sem, e sia Canaan lor servo.
He said moreouer, blessed be the Lord God of Shem, and let Canaan be his seruant.
27 Iddio allarghi Iafet, ed abiti egli ne' tabernacoli di Sem; e sia Canaan lor servo.
God perswade Iapheth, that he may dwell in the tentes of Shem, and let Canaan be his seruant.
28 E Noè visse dopo il diluvio trecencinquant'anni.
And Noah liued after the flood three hundreth and fiftie yeeres.
29 E tutto il tempo che Noè visse fu novecencinquent'anni; poi morì.
So all the dayes of Noah were nine hundreth and fiftie yeeres: and he died.
