Ezechiele 8

1 POI avvenne, nell'anno sesto, nel quinto [giorno] del sesto mese, che sedendo io in casa mia, e sedendo gli anziani di Giuda in mia presenza, la mano del Signore Iddio cadde quivi sopra me.

And in the sixt yere, in the sixt moneth, and in the fift day of the moneth, as I sate in mine house, and the Elders of Iudah sate before me, the hand of the Lord God fell there vpon me.

2 Ed io riguardai, ed ecco la sembianza [d'un uomo] simile in vista al fuoco; dall'apparenza de' lombi di esso in giù, [vi era] fuoco; e da' lombi in su, [vi era] come l'apparenza d'un grande splendore, simile al colore di fin rame scintillante.

Then I beheld, and lo, there was a likenesse, as the appearance of fire, to looke to, from his loynes downeward, and from his loynes vpward, as the appearance of brightnes, and like vnto amber.

3 Ed egli stese una sembianza di mano, e mi prese per la chioma della mia testa; e lo Spirito mi levò fra cielo e terra, e mi menò in Gerusalemme, in visioni di Dio, all'entrata della porta di dentro, che guarda verso il Settentrione, dove [era] la cappella dell'idolo di gelosia, che provoca a gelosia.

And he stretched out the likenes of an had, and tooke me by an hearie locke of mine head, and the Spirit lift me vp betweene the earth, and the heauen, and brought mee by a Diuine vision to Ierusalem, into the entry of ye inner gate that lieth toward the North, where remained the idole of indignation, which prouoked indignation.

4 Ed ecco, quivi [era] la gloria dell'Iddio d'Israele, simile alla visione che io avea veduta nella campagna.

And beholde, the glorie of the God of Israel was there according to the vision, that I saw in the fielde.

5 Ed egli mi disse: Figliuol d'uomo, leva ora gli occhi tuoi verso il Settentrione. Ed io levai gli occhi miei verso il Settentrione; ed ecco, dal Settentrione, alla porta dell'altare, all'entrata, [era] quell'idolo di gelosia.

Then saide he vnto mee, Sonne of man, lift vp thine eyes nowe towarde the North. So I lift vp mine eyes towarde the North, and beholde, Northward, at the gate of the altar, this idole of indignation was in the entrie.

6 Ed egli mi disse: Figliuol d'uomo, vedi tu ciò che costoro fanno? le grandi abbominazioni che la casa d'Israele commette qui; acciocchè io [mi] dilunghi dal mio santuario? ma pur di nuovo vedrai ancora [altre] grandi abbominazioni.

He said furthermore vnto me, Sonne of man, seest thou not what they doe? euen the great abominations that the house of Israel committeth here to cause me to depart from my Sanctuarie? but yet turne thee and thou shalt see greater abominations.

7 Ed egli mi condusse all'entrata del cortile, ed io riguardai, ed ecco un buco nella parete.

And he caused me to enter at the gate of the court: and when I looked, beholde, an hole was in the wall.

8 Ed egli mi disse: Figliuol d'uomo, fa' ora un foro in questa parete. Ed io feci un foro nella parete; ed ecco un uscio.

Then said he vnto me, Sonne of man, digge nowe in the wall. And when I had digged in the wall, beholde, there was a doore.

9 Ed egli mi disse: Entra, e vedi le scellerate abbominazioni ch'essi commettono qui.

And he said vnto mee, Go in, and beholde the wicked abominations that they doe here.

10 Io dunque entrai, e riguardai; ed ecco delle figure di rettili, e d'animali d'ogni specie, cosa abbominevole; e tutti gl'idoli della casa d'Israele, ritratti in su la parete attorno attorno.

So I went in, and sawe, and beholde, there was euery similitude of creeping thinges and abominable beasts and all the idoles of the house of Israel painted vpon the wall round about.

11 E settant'uomini degli anziani della casa d'Israele, con Iaazania figliuolo di Safan, ch'era in piè per mezzo loro, stavano diritti davanti a quelli, avendo ciascuno il suo turibolo in mano, onde saliva una folta nuvola di profumo.

And there stoode before them seuentie men of the Ancients of the house of Israel, and in the middes of them stoode Iaazaniah, ye sonne of Shaphan, with euerie man his censour in his hand, and the vapour of the incense went vp like a cloude.

12 Ed egli mi disse: Figliuol d'uomo, hai tu veduto ciò che gli anziani della casa d'Israele fanno in tenebre, ciascuno nella sua cappella d'immagini? perciocchè dicono: Il Signore non ci vede; il Signore ha abbandonato il paese.

Then saide hee vnto mee, Sonne of man, hast thou seene what the Ancients of the house of Israel do in the darke, euery one in the chamber of his imagerie? for they say, The Lord seeth vs not, the Lord hath forsaken the earth.

13 Poi mi disse: Tu vedrai ancora di nuovo [altre] grandi abbominazioni, che costoro commettono.

Againe he saide also vnto me, Turne thee againe, and thou shalt see greater abominations that they doe.

14 Ed egli mi menò all'entrata della porta della Casa del Signore, che [è] verso il Settentrione; ed ecco, quivi sedavano delle donne che piangevano Tammuz.

And he caused me to enter into the entrie of the gate of the Lords house, which was toward the North: and beholde there sate women mourning for Tammuz.

15 Ed egli mi disse: Figliuol d'uomo, hai tu veduto? ancor di nuovo vedrai abbominazioni maggiori di queste.

Then saide hee vnto me, Hast thou seene this, O sonne of man? Turne thee againe, and thou shalt see greater abominations then these.

16 Ed egli mi menò nel cortile di dentro della Casa del Signore; ed ecco, all'entrata del Tempio del Signore, fra il portico e l'altare, intorno a venticinque uomini, che aveano le spalle volte alla Casa del Signore, e le facce verso l'Oriente; e adoravano il sole, verso l'Oriente.

And he caused me to enter into the inner court of the Lordes house, and beholde, at the doore of the Temple of the Lord, betweene the porche and the altar were about fiue and twentie men with their backs toward the Temple of the Lord, and their faces towarde the East, and they worshipped the sunne, towarde the East.

17 Ed egli mi disse: Hai tu veduto, figliuol d'uomo? È egli cosa leggiera alla casa di Giuda di aver commesse le abbominazioni che hanno commesse qui, che hanno ancora ripieno il paese di violenza, e si son volti a dispettarmi? ma ecco, essi si cacciano il ramo nel volto a loro stessi.

The he said vnto me, Hast thou seene this, O sonne of man? Is it a small thing to the house of Iudah to commit these abominations which they do here? for they haue filled the land with crueltie, and haue returned to prouoke mee: and loe, they haue cast out stinke before their noses.

18 Io adunque altresì opererò in ira; l'occhio mio non perdonerà, ed io non risparmierò; benchè gridino ad alta voce a' miei orecchi, io non li ascolterò.

Therefore will I also execute my wrath: mine eye shall not spare them, neither will I haue pitie, and though they crie in mine eares with a loude voyce, yet will I not heare them.
