Ezechiele 32

1 AVVENNE eziandio, nell'anno duodecimo, nel duodecimo mese, nel primo [giorno] del mese, che la parola del Signore mi fu [indirizzata], dicendo:

And it came about in the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, on the first day of the month, that the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

2 Figliuol d'uomo, prendi a fare un lamento di Faraone, re di Egitto, e digli: Tu sei stato simile ad un leoncello fra le nazioni, e come un coccodrillo ne' mari, ed uscivi fuori per li tuoi fiumi, e intorbidavi le acque co' tuoi piedi, e calpestavi i lor fiumi.

Son of man, make a song of grief for Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and say to him, Young lion of the nations, destruction has come on you; and you were like a sea-beast in the seas, sending out bursts of water, troubling the waters with your feet, making their streams dirty.

3 Così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Io altresì stenderò la mia rete sopra te, con raunata di molti popoli, i quali ti trarranno fuori con la mia rete.

This is what the Lord has said: My net will be stretched out over you, and I will take you up in my fishing-net.

4 E ti lascerò sopra la terra, e ti getterò sopra la faccia della campagna; e farò albergar sopra te tutti gli uccelli del cielo, e sazierò di te le fiere di tutta la terra.

And I will let you be stretched on the land; I will send you out violently into the open field; I will let all the birds of heaven come to rest on you and will make the beasts of all the earth full of you.

5 E metterò la tua carne su per li monti, ed empierò le valli della tua strage.

And I will put your flesh on the mountains, and make the valleys full of your blood.

6 Ed abbevererò del tuo sangue la terra nella quale tu nuoti, fin sopra i monti; e i letti de' fiumi saran ripieni di te.

And the land will be watered with your blood, and the waterways will be full of you.

7 E quando ti avrò spento, io coprirò il cielo, e farò imbrunir le stelle loro; io coprirò il sol di nuvoli, e la luna non farà risplendere il suo lume.

And when I put out your life, the heaven will be covered and its stars made dark; I will let the sun be covered with a cloud and the moon will not give her light.

8 Io farò scurare sopra te tutti i luminari della luce nel cielo, e manderò tenebre sopra il tuo paese, dice il Signore Iddio.

All the bright lights of heaven I will make dark over you, and put dark night on your land, says the Lord.

9 E farò che il cuore di molti popoli si sdegnerà, quando avrò fatto pervenire [il grido del]la tua ruina fra le genti, in paesi che tu non conosci.

And the hearts of numbers of peoples will be troubled, when I send your prisoners among the nations, into a country which is strange to you.

10 E farò che molti popoli saranno attoniti di te, e che i loro re avranno orrore per cagion di te, quando io vibrerò la mia spada nel lor cospetto; e ciascun d'essi sarà spaventato ad ogni momento nell'animo suo, nel giorno della tua caduta.

And I will make a number of peoples overcome with wonder at you, and their kings will be full of fear because of you, when my sword is waved before them: they will be shaking every minute, every man fearing for his life, in the day of your fall.

11 Perciocchè, così ha detto il Signore Iddio: La spada del re di Babilonia ti sopraggiungerà.

For this is what the Lord has said: The sword of the king of Babylon will come on you.

12 Io farò cader la tua moltitudine per le spade d'[uomini] possenti, [che son] tutti quanti i più fieri delle nazioni; ed essi guasteranno la magnificenza di Egitto, e tutta la sua moltitudine sarà distrutta.

I will let the swords of the strong be the cause of the fall of your people; all of them men to be feared among the nations: and they will make waste the pride of Egypt, and all its people will come to destruction.

13 Ed io farò perire tutto il suo bestiame d'in su le grandi acque; e niun piè d'uomo, nè unghia di bestia, le intorbiderà più.

And I will put an end to all her beasts which are by the great waters, and they will never again be troubled by the foot of man or by the feet of beasts.

14 Allora farò che le acque loro si poseranno, e che i lor fiumi correranno a guisa d'olio, dice il Signore Iddio;

Then I will make their waters clear and their rivers will be flowing like oil, says the Lord.

15 quando avrò ridotto il paese di Egitto in desolazione, e il paese sarà deserto, [e vuoto] di tutto ciò ch'è in esso; quando avrò in esso percossi tutti i suoi abitatori; e si conoscerà che io [sono] il Signore.

When I make Egypt an unpeopled waste, cutting off from the land all the things in it; when I send punishment on all those living in it, then it will be clear to them that I am the Lord.

16 Questo [è] un lamento, il qual si farà; le figliuole delle nazioni lo faranno; lo faranno intorno all'Egitto, e a tutta la sua moltitudine, dice il Signore Iddio.

It is a song of grief, and people will give voice to it, the daughters of the nations will give voice to it, even for Egypt and all her people, says the Lord.

17 AVVENNE eziandio nell'anno duodecimo, nel quintodecimo [giorno] del mese, che la parola del Signore mi fu [indirizzata], dicendo:

And in the twelfth year, on the fifteenth day of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

18 Figliuol d'uomo, intuona una canzon funebre sopra la moltitudine di Egitto, ed accompagna il suo mortorio con le figliuole di nazioni illustri, nelle più basse parti della terra, con quelli che scendono nella fossa.

Son of man, let your voice be loud in sorrow for the people of Egypt and send them down, even you and the daughters of the nations; I will send them down into the lowest parts of the earth, with those who go down into the underworld.

19 Più grazioso di chi sei tu? scendi, e sii posto a giacere con gl'incirconcisi.

Are you more beautiful than any? go down, and take your rest among those without circumcision,

20 Essi caderanno per mezzo gli uccisi con la spada; la spada è stata data in mano; strascinatela, con tutta la sua moltitudine.

Among those who have been put to the sword: they will give a resting-place with them to all their people.

21 I capi de' prodi, coloro che gli aveano dato soccorso, che sono scesi, [e] giacciono incirconcisi, uccisi con la spada, parleranno con lui di mezzo il sepolcro, [dicendo: ] (Sheol h7585)

The strong among the great ones will say to him from the underworld, Are you more beautiful than any? go down, you and your helpers, and take your rest among those without circumcision, and those who have been put to the sword. (Sheol h7585)

22 Ivi [è] l'Assirio, e tutta la sua raunata, le sue sepolture [sono] d'intorno a lui; essi tutti [sono] uccisi, i quali son caduti per la spada.

There is Asshur and all her army, round about her last resting-place: all of them put to death by the sword:

23 Perciocchè le sepolture d'esso sono state poste nel fondo della fossa, e la sua raunata è stata [posta] d'intorno alla sua sepoltura; essi tutti [sono] uccisi, caduti per la spada; perciocchè avean dato spavento nella terra de' viventi.

Whose resting-places are in the inmost parts of the underworld, who were a cause of fear in the land of the living.

24 Ivi [è] l'Elamita, e tutta la sua moltitudine, d'intorno alla sua sepoltura; essi tutti [sono] uccisi, caduti per la spada, i quali sono scesi incirconcisi nelle più basse parti della terra; perciocchè avean dato spavento di loro nella terra de' viventi; e perciò han portata la loro ignominia, con quelli che scendono nella fossa.

There is Elam and all her people, round about her last resting-place: all of them put to death by the sword, who have gone down without circumcision into the lowest parts of the earth, who were a cause of fear in the land of the living, and are put to shame with those who go down to the underworld:

25 È stato posto un letto, per mezzo gli uccisi, a lui, ed a tutta la sua moltitudine; le sue sepolture [sono] d'intorno a lui; essi tutti [sono] incirconcisi, uccisi con la spada; perciocchè era stato dato spavento di loro nella terra de' viventi; e perciò han portato il lor vituperio, con quelli che scendono nella fossa; [e] sono stati posti per mezzo gli uccisi.

They have made a bed for her among the dead, and all her people are round about her resting-place: all of them without circumcision, put to death with the sword; for they were a cause of fear in the land of the living, and are put to shame with those who go down to the underworld: they have been given a place among those who have been put to the sword.

26 Ivi è Mesec, [e] Tubal, e tutta la sua moltitudine; le sue sepolture [sono] d'intorno a lui; essi tutti [sono] incirconcisi, uccisi con la spada; perciocchè avean dato spavento di loro nella terra de' viventi.

There is Meshech, Tubal, and all her people, round about her last resting-place: all of them without circumcision, put to death by the sword; for they were a cause of fear in the land of the living.

27 E non giacciono con gli [uomini] prodi, caduti d'infra gl'incirconcisi, i quali sono scesi nell'inferno con le loro armi; e le cui spade sono state poste sotto alle lor teste, e la cui iniquità è stata sopra le loro ossa; perciocchè lo spavento degli [uomini] prodi [è] nella terra de' viventi. (Sheol h7585)

And they have been put to rest with the fighting men who came to their end in days long past, who went down to the underworld with their instruments of war, placing their swords under their heads, and their body-covers are over their bones; for their strength was a cause of fear in the land of the living. (Sheol h7585)

28 Così ancora tu sarai fiaccato per mezzo gl'incirconcisi, e giacerai con gli uccisi con la spada.

But you will have your bed among those without circumcision, and will be put to rest with those who have been put to death with the sword.

29 Ivi [è] Edom, i suoi re, e tutti i suoi duchi, i quali, con [tutta] la lor forza, sono stati posti fra gli uccisi con la spada; essi giacciono fra gl'incirconcisi, e con quelli che sono scesi nella fossa.

There is Edom, her kings and all her princes, who have been given a resting-place with those who were put to the sword: they will be resting among those without circumcision, even with those who go down to the underworld.

30 Ivi [son] tutti i principi del Settentrione, e tutti i Sidonii, i quali sono scesi con gli uccisi, con tutto il loro spavento, confusi della lor forza; e giacciono incirconcisi, con gli uccisi con la spada; ed hanno portata la loro ignominia, con quelli che sono scesi nella fossa.

There are the chiefs of the north, all of them, and all the Zidonians, who have gone down with those who have been put to the sword: they are shamed on account of all the fear caused by their strength; they are resting there without circumcision, among those who have been put to the sword, and are put to shame with those who go down to the underworld.

31 Faraone li vedrà, e si racconsolerà di tutta la sua moltitudine; Faraone, [dico], e tutto il suo esercito, che sono stati uccisi con la spada, dice il Signore Iddio.

Pharaoh will see them and be comforted on account of all his people: even Pharaoh and all his army, put to death by the sword, says the Lord.

32 Perciocchè io ho dato spavento di me nella terra de' viventi; e Faraone, con tutta la sua moltitudine, sarà posto a giacere per mezzo gl'incirconcisi, con gli uccisi con la spada, dice il Signore Iddio.

For he put his fear in the land of the living: and he will be put to rest among those without circumcision, with those who have been put to death with the sword, even Pharaoh and all his people, says the Lord.
