Ezechiele 22
1 LA parola del Signore mi fu ancora [indirizzata], dicendo:
And the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying:
2 E tu, figliuol d'uomo, non giudicherai tu, non giudicherai tu la città di sangue, e non le farai tu conoscere tutte le sue abbominazioni? Di' adunque:
Thou therefore son of man, Wilt thou judge wilt thou judge the city of bloodshed; and cause her to know all her abominations?
3 Così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Il tempo della città che spande il sangue dentro di sè, e che fa degl'idoli contro a sè stessa, per contaminarsi, viene.
Thou shalt say then Thus saith My Lord. Yahweh, A city shedding blood in her own midst That her time might come, Therefore hath she been making manufactured gods for herself, to be defiled.
4 Tu ti sei resa colpevole per lo tuo sangue, che tu hai sparso; e ti sei contaminata per li tuoi idoli, che tu hai fatti; ed hai fatti avvicinare i tuoi giorni, e sei giunta al[la fine de]'tuoi anni; perciò, ti ho messa in vituperio appo le nazioni, e in derizione appo tutti i paesi.
Because of the blood which thou hast shed, hast thou become guilty. And with the manufactured gods which thou hast made, hast thou defiled thyself, Thus hast thou brought near thy days, And hast come unto thy years, — For this cause, have I delivered thee As a reproach to the nations, And as a derision to all the lands.
5 I paesi che son vicini, e quelli che son lontani di te, si faran beffe di te, o [tu] contaminata di fama, grande in ruina.
They who are near and they who are far off from thee shall shew themselves derisive over thee, — O thou of impure name, abounding in confusion!
6 Ecco, i principi d'Israele, dentro di te, si son dati a spandere il sangue, ciascuno secondo il suo potere.
Lo! the princes of Israel, every man for his own arm, have they been in thee, For the sake of shedding blood.
7 Si è sprezzato in te padre, e madre; si è usata storsione contra il forestiere in mezzo di te; si è oppressato in te l'orfano, e la vedova.
Father and mother, have they despised in thee, To the sojourner, have they dealt with oppression in the midst of thee, — The fatherless and the widow, have they maltreated in thee:
8 Tu hai sprezzate le mie cose sante, ed hai profanati i miei sabati.
My holy things, hast thou despised, - And my sabbaths, hast thou profaned:
9 Uomini sparlatori, e calunniatori sono stati in mezzo di te, per ispandere il sangue; e si è mangiato in te sopra i monti; si son commesse scelleratezze in mezzo di te.
Slanders, have arisen in thee For the sake of shedding blood, - And unto the mountains, have they eaten in thee, Lewdness, have they practised in the midst of thee:
10 Le vergogne del padre si sono scoperte in te; si è sforzata in te la donna appartata per la sua immondizia.
A father’s shame hath been uncovered in thee, Her that was unclean in her removal, have they humbled in thee;
11 L'uno ha commessa abbominazione con la moglie del suo prossimo; l'altro ha contaminata la sua nuora con iscelleratezza; e l'altro ha violata la sua sorella, figliuola di suo padre, dentro di te.
And, one man, with the wife of his neighbour, hath wrought abomination, And another, hath defiled, his daughter-in-law, by shameful deed, — And another, his own sister daughter of his own father, hath humbled in thee:
12 Si son presi presenti in te, per ispandere il sangue; tu hai presa usura, e vantaggio, ed hai frodati i tuoi prossimi con oppressione, e mi hai dimenticato, dice il Signore Iddio.
Bribes, have they accepted in thee, For the sake of shedding blood, -Interest and increase, hast thou accepted And thou hast overreached thy neighbour by oppression, And me, hast thou forgotten, Declareth My Lord Yahweh.
13 Laonde ecco, io mi son battuto a palme, per la tua avarizia, che hai usata; e per lo tuo sangue che è stato in mezzo di te.
Lo! therefore I have smitten my hand, At thine unjust gain which thou hast made— And over thy bloodshed, which they have caused in thy midst.
14 Potrà il cuor tuo esser fermo, o le tue mani esser forti al tempo che io opererò contro a te? Io, il Signore, ho parlato, ed altresì opererò.
Can thy heart endure or can thy hands be strong in the days when I am dealing with thee? I. Yahweh have spoken and will perform.
15 E ti dispergerò fra le nazioni, io ti sventolerò per i paesi, e farò venir meno in te la tua immondizia.
Therefore will I disperse thee among the nations, And scatter thee throughout the lands, — And will cause to cease thine impurity out of thee;
16 E tu sarai profanata dentro di te, nel cospetto delle nazioni; e conoscerai che io [sono] il Signore.
So shalt thou be profaned in thyself, before the eyes of nations, Thus shalt thou know that, I, am Yahweh.
17 La parola del Signore mi fu ancora [indirizzata], dicendo:
Then came the word of Yahweh unto me, saying:
18 Figliuol d'uomo, la casa d'Israele mi è divenuta schiuma; tutti quanti [son] rame, e stagno, e ferro, e piombo, in mezzo d'un fornello; son divenuti schiuma d'argento.
Son of man, The house of Israel hath become to me, dross, — They all are copper and tin and iron and lead in the midst of a furnace, The dross of silver, have they become.
19 Perciò, così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Perciocchè voi tutti siete divenuti schiume, però, ecco, io vi raduno in mezzo di Gerusalemme.
Therefore, Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, Because ye all are become dross, Therefore, behold me! gathering you into the midst of Jerusalem:
20 [Come] si raduna l'argento, e il rame, e il ferro, e il piombo, e lo stagno, in mezzo d'un fornello, per soffiarvi su il fuoco per fonder [quelle cose: ] così [vi] raccorrò nella mia ira, e nel mio cruccio, e vi porrò [quivi], e vi struggerò.
As they gather silver and copper and iron and lead and tin into the midst of a furnace, to blow upon it the fire to melt it, So, will I gather in mine anger and in mine indignation, and will let be and will melt you;
21 Così vi radunerò, e soffierò sopra voi nel fuoco della mia indegnazione; e voi sarete strutti in mezzo di quella.
Yea I will gather you together, and blow upon you, with the fire of my wrath, — And ye shall be melted in the midst thereof:
22 Come l'argento si strugge nel fornello, così sarete strutti in mezzo di quella; e voi conoscerete che io, il Signore, avrò versata l'ira mia sopra voi.
As silver is melted in he midst of a furnace, So, shall ye be melted in the midst thereof, — Then shall ye know that, I Yahweh, have poured out mine indignation upon you.
23 La parola del Signore mi fu ancora [indirizzata], dicendo:
And the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying:
24 Figliuol d'uomo, dille: Tu [sei] un paese [che] non sei stato nettato, che non sei stato bagnato d'alcuna pioggia nel giorno del cruccio.
Son of man, say to her. Thou, art a land, that is not to be rained upon, nor to receive fruitful showers, in the day of indignation.
25 [Vi è] una cospirazione de' suoi profeti in mezzo di lei; han divorate le anime come un leone ruggente, che rapisce la preda; han tolte le facoltà, e le cose preziose; han moltiplicate le vedove in mezzo di essa.
Because her princes in her midst are like a roaring lion rending prey, — Life, have they devoured Wealth and precious things, have they been wont to take, Her widows, have they multiplied in her midst.
26 I suoi sacerdoti han violata la mia Legge, ed han profanate le mie cose sante; non han posta differenza tra la cosa santa, e la profana, e non hanno insegnato a [discerner] tra la cosa monda, e l'immonda; e si sono turati gli occhi, per non prender guardia a' miei sabati, ed io sono stato profanato nel mezzo di loro.
Her priests have done violence to my law And have profaned my holy things, Between the hallowed and the common, have they put no difference, And between the unclean and clean, have they not taught men to discern, - And from my sabbaths, have they hid their eyes, So that I have been profaned in their midst.
27 I suoi principi [sono stati] dentro di essa come lupi che rapiscono la preda, spandendo il sangue, [e] distruggendo le anime, per saziar la loro avarizia.
Her rulers within her have been like wolves, rending prey, - In shedding blood In destroying lives, For the sake of getting dishonest gain.
28 E i suoi profeti han fatto loro uno smalto mal tegnente; hanno avute visioni di vanità, ed hanno loro indovinata menzogna, dicendo: Così ha detto il Signore Iddio; benchè il Signore non avesse parlato.
And her prophets have coated it for them with whitewash, Seeing visions of falsehood And divining for them lies, Saying, Thus saith My Lord Yahweh, when Yahweh, hath not spoken.
29 Il popolo del paese ha fatte delle storsioni, e rapine, ed han fatta violenza al povero, ed al bisognoso; hanno oppressato il forestiere, senza [che gli si sia fatta] ragione.
The people of the land have exacted oppression, and seized plunder, - Even the afflicted and the needy, have they maltreated, And the sojourner have they oppressed without justice.
30 Ed io ho cercato d'infra loro alcuno che facesse alcun riparo; e che si presentasse davanti a me alla rottura, per lo paese; acciocchè io non lo desertassi; ma non ne ho trovato alcuno.
Then sought I from among them, a man Who could build up a wall And stand in the breach before me in behalf of the land So that I might not destroy her, — But I found none.
31 Perciò, io spanderò sopra loro l'ira mia; io li consumerò col fuoco della mia indegnazione; io renderò loro la lor via in sul capo, dice il Signore Iddio.
Therefore have I poured out upon them mine indignation, In the fire of mine outburst, have I consumed them, — Their way, upon their own head, have I placed Declareth, My Lord Yahweh.
