Deuteronomio 5

1 E Mosè chiamò tutto Israele, e disse loro: Ascolta, Israele, gli statuti e le leggi le quali io pronunzio ogg[i] a' vostri orecchi; imparatele adunque, e osservatele, per metterle in opera.

And he summoned Moses all Israel and he said to them hear O Israel the statutes and the judgments which I [am] speaking in ears your this day and you will learn them and you will take care to observe them.

2 Il Signore Iddio nostro fece patto con noi in Horeb.

Yahweh God our he made with us a covenant at Horeb.

3 Il Signore non fece questo patto co' nostri padri, anzi con noi, che siamo oggi qui [e siamo] tutti in vita.

Not with ancestors our he made Yahweh the covenant this for with us we these here this day all of us alive.

4 Il Signore parlò con voi a faccia a faccia, sul monte, di mezzo al fuoco,

Face - on face he spoke Yahweh with you at the mountain from [the] middle of the fire.

5 (stando io in quel tempo fra il Signore e voi, per rapportarvi la parola del Signore; conciossiachè voi temeste per quel fuoco, e non saliste in sul monte), dicendo:

I [was] standing between Yahweh and between you at the time that to declare to you [the] word of Yahweh for you were afraid of the fire and not you went up on the mountain saying.

6 Io [sono] il Signore Iddio tuo, che ti ho tratto fuor del paese di Egitto, della casa di servitù.

I [am] Yahweh God your who I brought out you from [the] land of Egypt (from a house of slaves. *Lp)

7 Non avere altri dii nel mio cospetto.

(Not it will belong to you gods other *Lp) on (face my. *Lp)

8 Non farti scultura alcuna, [nè] immagine alcuna [di cosa] che [sia] in cielo disopra, nè [di cosa] che [sia] in terra disotto, nè [di cosa] che [sia] nell'acque disotto alla terra.

(Not you must make for yourself an image of - *Lp) any (form which [is] in the heavens - above and which [is] on the earth beneath *Lp) and which ([is] in the waters - from under to the earth. *Lp)

9 Non adorar quelle cose, e non servir loro; perciocchè io, il Signore Iddio tuo, [sono] un Dio geloso, che fo punizione dell'iniquità de' padri sopra i figliuoli, fino alla terza e alla quarta [generazione], inverso quelli che m'odiano;

Not (you must bow down to them *Lp) and not (you must be enticed to serve them *Lp) for I Yahweh God your [am] a God jealous [who] visits [the] iniquity of parents on children and on a third generation and on a fourth generation (of [those who] hate me. *Lp)

10 e uso benignità in mille [generazioni] verso quelli che m'amano, e osservano i miei comandamenti.

(And [who] does covenant loyalty *Lp) (to thousands *Lbp) of [those who] love me and of [those who] keep (commandments my. *QK)

11 Non usare il Nome del Signore Iddio tuo in vano; perciocchè il Signore non terrà per innocente chi avrà usato il suo Nome in vano.

Not you must take [the] name of Yahweh God your for emptiness for not he will leave unpunished Yahweh [one] who he will take name his for emptiness.

12 Osserva il giorno del riposo, per santificarlo, siccome il Signore Iddio tuo ti ha comandato.

(Keep *Lp) ([the] day of the sabbath to set apart as holy it *Lp) just as (he commanded you - Yahweh God your. *Lp)

13 Lavora sei giorni, e fai ogni opera tua.

(Six days *Lp) (you will labor *Lbp) (and you will do all work your. *Lp)

14 Ma il settimo giorno [è] il [giorno del] riposo al Signore Iddio tuo; non fare [in esso] lavoro alcuno, nè tu, nè il tuo figliuolo, nè la tua figliuola, nè il tuo servo, nè la tua serva, nè il tuo bue, nè il tuo asino, nè alcuna tua bestia, nè il tuo forestiere, che [è] dentro alle tue porte; acciocchè il tuo servo, e la tua serva, si riposino, come tu.

And [the] day (seventh [is] a sabbath - *Lp) (to Yahweh *Lbp) (God your *Lp) not you must do any work you and son your and daughter your and [male] servant your and female servant your and ox your and donkey your and all livestock your and sojourner your who [is] in gates your so that he may rest [male] servant your and female servant your (like you. *Lp)

15 E ricordati che tu sei stato servo nel paese di Egitto, e che il Signore Iddio tuo ti ha tratto fuor di là con potente mano, e con braccio disteso; perciò il Signore Iddio tuo ti comanda che tu osservi il giorno del riposo.

(And you will remember *Lp) that (a slave you were - *Lp) in [the] land of (Egypt and he brought out you Yahweh God your from there by a hand strong *Lp) and by an arm (outstretched *Lp) there-fore he has commanded you Yahweh God your to observe [the] day of the sabbath.

16 Onora tuo padre e tua madre, come il Signore Iddio tuo ti ha comandato; acciocchè i tuoi giorni sieno prolungati; e acciocchè ti sia bene in su la terra che il Signore Iddio tuo ti dà.

Honor father your and mother your just as he has commanded you Yahweh God your so that - they may be long! days your and so that it may go well for you on the land which Yahweh God your [is] about to give to you.

17 Non uccidere.

(Not you must murder. *Lp)

18 Non commettere adulterio.

(And not you must commit adultery. *Lp)

19 Non furare.

(And not you must steal. *Lp)

20 Non dir falsa testimonianza contro al tuo prossimo.

And not you must testify against neighbor your testimony of falsehood.

21 Non concupir la moglie del tuo prossimo; parimente non appetir la casa del tuo prossimo; nè il suo campo, nè il suo servo, nè la sua serva, nè il suo bue, nè il suo asino, nè cosa alcuna che [sia] del tuo prossimo.

And not you must covet [the] wife of neighbor your. And not you must desire [the] house of neighbor your field his and [male] servant his and female servant his ox his and donkey his and all that [belongs] to neighbor your.

22 Queste parole pronunziò il Signore a tutta la vostra raunanza, sul monte, di mezzo al fuoco, alla nuvola, e alla caligine, ad alta voce; e non le disse altro; e scrisse quelle sopra due Tavole di pietra, le quali egli mi diede.

The words these he spoke Yahweh to all assembly your at the mountain from [the] middle of the fire the cloud and the thick darkness a voice great and not he added and he inscribed them on two tablets of stone and he gave them to me.

23 Ora, dopo che aveste udita quella voce di mezzo all'oscurità, ardendo il monte in fuoco, voi foste a me, [cioè] tutti i Capi delle vostre tribù, e i vostri Anziani; e diceste:

And it was when heard you the voice from [the] middle of the darkness and the mountain [was] burning with fire and you drew near! to me all [the] chiefs of tribes your and elders your.

24 Ecco, il Signore Iddio nostro ci ha fatta veder la sua gloria, e la sua grandezza, e noi abbiamo udita la sua voce di mezzo al fuoco; oggi abbiamo veduto che, parlando Iddio con l'uomo, esso è rimasto in vita.

And you said here! he has shown us Yahweh God our glory his and greatness his and voice his we have heard from [the] middle of the fire the day this we have seen that he speaks God with humankind and he will live.

25 Ora dunque, perchè morremmo noi? perciocchè questo gran fuoco ci consumerà; se noi seguitiamo a udire ancora la voce del Signore Iddio nostro, noi morremo.

And therefore why? will we die for it will consume us the fire great this if [are] repeating - we to hear [the] voice of Yahweh God our again and we will die.

26 Imperocchè, quale [è] la carne, qual ch'ella sia, che, avendo udita la voce del vivente Iddio, parlante di mezzo al fuoco, come [abbiamo udito] noi, sia restata in vita?

For who? [is] all flesh who he has heard [the] voice of God living speaking from [the] middle of the fire like us and he has lived.

27 Accostati tu, e ascolta tutto ciò che il Signore Iddio nostro dirà; e tu ci rapporterai tutto ciò che il Signore Iddio nostro ti avrà detto, e noi l'ascolteremo, e lo faremo.

Draw near you and hear all that he will say Yahweh God our and you - you will speak to us all that he will speak Yahweh God our to you and we will listen and we will do [it].

28 E il Signore udì la voce delle vostre parole, mentre parlavate meco. E il Signore mi disse: Io ho udita la voce delle parole di questo popolo, ch'egli ti ha dette; essi hanno ben parlato in tutto ciò che hanno detto.

And he heard Yahweh [the] sound of words your when spoke you to me and he said Yahweh to me I have heard [the] sound of [the] words of the people this which they spoke to you they have done well all that they have spoken.

29 Oh! avessero pur sempre un tal animo per temermi, e per osservar tutti i miei comandamenti, acciocchè fosse bene a loro, e a' lor figliuoli, in perpetuo!

Who? will he give and it will belong heart their this to them to fear me and to keep all commandments my all the days so that it may go well for them and for children their for ever.

30 Va', di' loro: Ritornate alle vostre tende.

Go say to them return yourselves to tents your.

31 Ma tu, resta qui meco, ed io ti dirò tutti i comandamenti, e gli statuti, e le leggi, che tu devi loro insegnare, e ch'essi debbono mettere in opera, nel paese che io do loro, per possederlo.

And you here stand with me so let me speak to you all the commandment and the statutes and the judgments which you will teach them and they will observe [them] in the land which I [am] about to give to them to take possession of it.

32 Prendete adunque guardia di far secondo che il Signore Iddio vostro vi ha comandato; non ve [ne] rivolgete nè a destra nè a sinistra.

And you will take care to do just as he has commanded Yahweh God your you not you must turn aside right [hand] and left [hand].

33 Camminate per tutta la via che il Signore Iddio vostro vi ha comandata, acciocchè viviate, e vi [sia] bene, e prolunghiate i [vostri] giorni, nel paese che voi possederete.

In all the way which he has commanded Yahweh God your you you will walk so that you may live! and it will be good for you and you will prolong days in the land which you will take possession of!
