Deuteronomio 24
1 QUANDO alcuno avrà presa moglie, e sarà abitato con lei; se poi ella non gli aggrada, perchè egli avrà trovata in lei alcuna cosa brutta; scrivale il libello del ripudio, e diaglielo in mano; e così mandila fuor di casa sua.
When a man taketh a wife, and marrieth her, if so be shee finde no fauour in his eyes, because hee hath espyed some filthinesse in her, then let him write her a bill of diuorcement, and put it in her hand, and send her out of his house.
2 E s'ella, essendo uscita di casa di colui, e andatasene, si marita ad un altro uomo;
And when she is departed out of his house, and gone her way, and marrie with an other man,
3 e quest'ultimo marito prende ad odiarla, e le scrive il libello del ripudio, e glielo dà in mano, e la manda fuor di casa sua; ovvero, quest'ultimo marito, che se l'avea presa per moglie, muore;
And if the latter husband hate her, and write her a letter of diuorcement, and put it in her hand, and send her out of his house, or if the latter man die which tooke her to wife:
4 non possa il suo primiero marito, il qual l'avea mandata via, tornare a prenderla per essergli moglie, dopo che avrà fatto ch'ella si sia contaminata; perchè ciò [è] cosa abbominevole nel cospetto del Signore; e non far sì che il paese che il Signore Iddio tuo ti dà in eredità, sia reo di peccato.
Then her first husband, which sent her away, may not take her againe to be his wife, after that she is defiled: for that is abomination in the sight of the Lord, and thou shalt not cause the land to sinne, which the Lord thy God doeth giue thee to inherite.
5 Quando alcuno avrà presa novella[mente] moglie, non vada alla guerra, e non siagli imposto affare alcuno; stia esente in casa sua un anno, e sollazzi la sua moglie ch'egli avrà presa.
When a man taketh a new wife, he shall not goe a warfare, neither shalbe charged with any businesse, but shalbe free at home one yeere, and reioyce with his wife which he hath taken.
6 NON prenda [alcuno] in pegno macine, non pur la mola disopra; perciocchè egli prenderebbe in pegno la vita [del suo prossimo].
No man shall take the nether nor the vpper milstone to pledge: for this gage is his liuing.
7 Quando si troverà alcuno che abbia rubato un uomo d'infra i suoi fratelli, figliuoli d'Israele, e ne abbia fatto traffico, e l'abbia venduto, muoia quel ladro; e togli il mal del mezzo di te.
If any man be found stealing any of his brethren of the children of Israel, and maketh marchandise of him, or selleth him, that thiefe shall die: so shalt thou put euil away from among you.
8 Prendi guardia alla piaga della lebbra, per osservar diligentemente di far secondo tutto ciò che i sacerdoti Leviti vi avranno insegnato; prendete guardia di fare come io ho loro comandato.
Take heede of the plague of leprosie, that thou obserue diligently, and doe according to all that the Priestes of the Leuites shall teach you: take heede ye doe as I commanded them.
9 Ricordati di ciò che il Signore Iddio tuo fece a Maria, nel cammino, dopo che foste usciti di Egitto.
Remember what the Lord thy God did vnto Miriam by the way after that ye were come out of Egypt.
10 Quando tu farai alcun presto al tuo prossimo, non entrare in casa sua, per prender pegno da lui.
Whe thou shalt aske again of thy neighbour any thing lent, thou shalt not goe into his house to fet his pledge.
11 Stattene fuori, e portiti colui, al qual tu farai il presto, il pegno fuori.
But thou shalt stand without, and the man that borowed it of thee, shall bring the pledge out of the doores vnto thee.
12 E s'egli [è] povero uomo, non ti porre a giacere, avendo ancora il suo pegno.
Furthermore if it be a poore body, thou shalt not sleepe with his pledge,
13 Del tutto rendigli il pegno, al tramontar del sole; acciocchè egli possa giacer ne' suoi panni, e ti benedica; e [ciò] ti sarà giustizia nel cospetto del Signore Iddio tuo.
But shalt restore him the pledge when the sunne goeth downe, that he may sleepe in his raiment, and blesse thee: and it shalbe righteousnesse vnto thee before the Lord thy God.
14 Non fraudare il mercenario povero e bisognoso, [chi ch'egli si sia] de' tuoi fratelli, o de' forestieri che [saranno] nel tuo paese, dentro alle tue porte.
Thou shalt not oppresse an hyred seruant that is needie and poore, neyther of thy brethren, nor of the stranger that is in thy land within thy gates.
15 Dagli il suo premio al suo giorno, e non tramonti il sole avanti che tu gliel'abbia dato; conciossiachè egli [sia] povero, e che l'anima sua s'erga a quello; acciocchè egli non gridi contro a te al Signore, e non vi sia in te peccato.
Thou shalt giue him his hire for his day, neither shall the sunne goe downe vpon it: for he is poore, and therewith susteineth his life: lest he crye against thee vnto the Lord, and it be sinne vnto thee.
16 Non facciansi morire i padri per li figliuoli, nè i figliuoli per li padri; facciasi morir ciascuno per lo suo [proprio] peccato.
The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children put to death for the fathers, but euery man shalbe put to death for his owne sinne.
17 NON pervertire la ragione del forestiere, [nè] dell'orfano; e non prender in pegno i panni della vedova.
Thou shalt not peruert the right of the stranger, nor of the fatherlesse, nor take a widowes rayment to pledge.
18 E ricordati che tu sei stato servo in Egitto, e che il Signore Iddio tuo te ne ha riscosso; perciò io ti comando che tu faccia questo.
But remember that thou wast a seruant in Egypt, and howe the Lord thy God deliuered thee thence. Therefore I commaund thee to doe this thing.
19 Quando tu avrai mietuta la tua ricolta nel tuo campo, e avrai dimenticata alcuna menata nel campo, non tornare indietro per prenderla; sia per lo forestiere, per l'orfano, e per la vedova; acciocchè il Signore Iddio tuo ti benedica in tutta l'opera delle tue mani.
When thou cuttest downe thine haruest in thy fielde, and hast forgotten a sheafe in the fielde, thou shalt not goe againe to fet it, but it shalbe for the stranger, for the fatherles, and for the widowe: that the Lord thy God may blesse thee in all the workes of thine hands.
20 Quando tu avrai scossi i tuoi ulivi, non ricercare a ramo a ramo [ciò che vi sarà rimasto] dietro a te; sia per lo forestiere, per l'orfano, e per la vedova.
When thou beatest thine oliue tree, thou shalt not goe ouer the boughes againe, but it shalbe for the stranger, for the fatherlesse, and for the widowe.
21 Quando tu avrai vendemmiata la tua vigna, non raspollare i grappoli [rimasti] dietro a te; sieno per lo forestiere, per l'orfano, e per la vedova.
When thou gatherest thy vineyard, thou shalt not gather the grapes cleane after thee, but they shalbe for the stranger, for the fatherlesse, and for the widowe.
22 E ricordati che tu sei stato servo nel paese di Egitto; per ciò io ti comando che tu faccia questo.
And remember that thou wast a seruant in the land of Egypt: therefore I command thee to doe this thing.
