1 Tessalonicesi 3
1 Perciò, non potendo più sofferire, avemmo a grado d'esser lasciati soli in Atene;
And because we could not endure, we were willing to be left at Athinos alone,
2 E mandammo Timoteo, nostro fratello, e ministro di Dio, e nostro compagno d'opera nell'evangelo di Cristo, per confermarvi, e confortar[vi] intorno alla vostra fede.
and to send to you Timotheos our brother, a minister of Aloha and our helper in the gospel of the Meshiha, to fortify you, and inquire of you concerning your faith,
3 Acciocchè niuno fosse commosso in queste afflizioni; poichè voi stessi sapete che noi siam posti a questo.
that none of you should be slain through these afflictions; for you know that to this we are set.
4 Perciocchè, eziandio quando eravamo fra voi, vi predicevamo, che saremmo afflitti; siccome ancora è avvenuto, e voi [il] sapete.
For while also we were with you, we foretold you that we were to be afflicted, as you know that it hath been.
5 Perciò ancora, non potendo più sofferire, io [lo] mandai, per conoscer la fede vostra; che talora il tentatore non vi avesse tentati, e la nostra fatica non fosse riuscita vana.
On account of this also, I, not enduring until I had sent to know your faith, lest the tempter should tempt you, and we should have laboured in vain;
6 Or al presente, essendo Timoteo venuto da voi a noi, ed avendoci rapportate liete novelle della vostra fede, e carità; e che voi avete del continuo buona ricordanza di noi, desiderando grandemente di vederci, siccome ancora noi voi;
but now when Timotheos came to us from among you, and gave us intelligence of your faith and of your love, and that you have a good remembrance of us in every season, and desire to see us as we also (to see) you;
7 perciò, fratelli, noi siamo stati consolati di voi, in tutta la nostra afflizione, e necessità, per la vostra fede.
on this account we were comforted in you, my brethren, in all our anxieties and our afflictions because of your faith.
8 Poichè ora viviamo, se voi state fermi nel Signore.
And now we live, if you are established in our Lord.
9 Perciocchè, quali grazie possiam noi render di voi a Dio, per tutta l'allegrezza, della quale ci rallegriamo per voi, nel cospetto dell'Iddio nostro?
For what thanks giving can we render on account of you to Aloha, over all the joy with which we rejoice on your behalf,
10 Pregando intentissimamente, notte e giorno, di poter vedere la vostra faccia, e compier le cose che mancano ancora alla fede vostra.
unless before Aloha we supplicate exceedingly by night and by day to see your faces, and to perfect what is wanting to your faith?
11 Or Iddio stesso, Padre nostro, e il Signor nostro Gesù Cristo, addirizzi il nostro cammino a voi.
But Aloha himself, the Father of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha, will make straight our way to you,
12 E il Signore vi accresca, e faccia abbondare in carità gli uni inverso gli altri, e inverso tutti; come noi ancora [abbondiamo] inverso voi;
and he will cause your love to increase to one another, and to every man, even as we love you;
13 per raffermare i vostri cuori, [acciocchè sieno] irreprensibili in santità, nel cospetto di Dio, Padre nostro, all'avvenimento del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo, con tutti i suoi santi. Amen.
and will establish your hearts without blame in holiness, before Aloha our Father, at the advent of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha with all his saints.
