1 QUANT'è agli spartimenti de' portinai, d'infra i Coriti [vi fu] Meselemia, figliuolo di Asaf.

Concerning the diuisions of the porters, of the Korhites, Meshelemiah the sonne of Kore of the sonnes of Asaph.

2 E Meselemia ebbe [questi] figliuoli: Zaccaria il primogenito, Iediael il secondo, Zebadia il terzo, Iatniel il quarto,

And the sonnes of Meshelemiah, Zechariah the eldest, Iediael the seconde, Zebadiah the third, Iathniel the fourth,

3 Elam il quinto, Iohanan il sesto, Elioenai il settimo.

Elam the fift, Ichohanan the sixt, and Eliehoenai the seuenth.

4 Ed Obed-Edom ebbe [questi] figliuoli: Semaia il primogenito, Iozabed il secondo, Ioa il terzo, Sacar il quarto, Natanael il quinto,

And the sonnes of Obed Edom, Shemaiah the eldest, Iehozabad the second, Ioah the third, and Sacar the fourth, and Nethaneel the fift,

5 Ammiel il sesto, Issacar il settimo, Peulletai l'ottavo; perciocchè Iddio l'avea benedetto.

Ammiel the sixt, Issachar the seuenth, Peulthai the eight: for God had blessed him.

6 A Semaia ancora, figliuolo di esso, nacquero figliuoli, i quali signoreggiarono sopra la casa del padre loro; perciocchè erano uomini di valore.

And to Shemaiah his sonne, were sonnes borne, that ruled in the house of their father, for they were men of might.

7 I figliuoli di Semaia [furono] Otni, e Refael, ed Obed, ed Elzabad, suoi fratelli, uomini di valore; ed Elihu, e Semachia.

The sonnes of Shemaiah were Othni, and Rephael, and Obed, Elzabad and his brethren, strong men: Elihu also, and Semachiah.

8 Tutti costoro [furono] de' figliuoli di Obed-Edom, coi lor figluioli, e i lor fratelli, uomini di valore, e forti per lo [servigio, in numero di] sessantadue, [usciti] di Obed-Edom.

All these were of the sonnes of Obed Edom, they and their sonnes and their brethren mightie and strong to serue, euen three score and two of Obed Edom.

9 E i figliuoli, ed i fratelli di Meselemia [furono] diciotto, uomini di valore.

And of Meshelemiah sonnes and brethren, eighteene mightie men.

10 E i figliuoli di Hosa, de' figliuoli di Merari, [furono] Simri, il capo (perciocchè, [benchè] egli non fosse il primogenito, pur suo padre lo costituì capo);

And of Hosah of the sonnes of Merari, the sonnes were Shuri the chiefe, and (though he was not the eldest, yet his father made him the chiefe)

11 Hilchia il secondo, Tebalia il terzo, Zaccaria il quarto. Tutti i figliuoli, e i fratelli di Hosa [furono] tredici.

Helkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, and Zechariah the fourth: all the sonnes and the brethren of Hosa were thirteene.

12 Fra costoro [si fecero] gli spartimenti de' portinai, per teste d'uomini, a mute di servigio, al pari de' lor fratelli, per servir nella Casa del Signore.

Of these were the diuisions of the porters of the chiefe men, hauing the charge against their brethren, to serue in the house of the Lord.

13 E trassero le sorti, così per li piccoli, come per li grandi, secondo le lor case paterne, per ciascuna porta.

And they cast lottes both small and great for the house of their fathers, for euery gate.

14 E la sorte [per la porta] orientale scadde a Selemia. E poi, tratte di nuovo le sorti, la sorte scadde a Zaccaria, savio consigliere, figliuolo di esso, [per la porta] settentrionale.

And the lot on the East side fel to Shelemiah: then they cast lottes for Zechariah his sonne a wise couseller, and his lot came out Northward:

15 Ad Obed-Edom [scadde la sorte per la porta] meridionale; ed a' suoi figliuoli [scadde] il luogo delle collette.

To Obed Edom Southwarde, and to his sonnes the house of Asuppim:

16 A Suppim, e ad Hosa, [scadde la sorte] verso Occidente, insieme con la porta di Sallechet, nella strada della salita. Le mute [erano] uguali l'una all'altra.

To Shuppim and to Hosah Westwarde with the gate of Shallecheth by the paued streete that goeth vpward, warde ouer against warde.

17 Verso Oriente [vi erano] sei Leviti; [e] verso Aquilone quattro per giorno; e verso il Mezzodì quattro per giorno; e ne' luoghi delle collette due per uno.

Eastward were sixe Leuites, and Northwarde foure a day, and Southward foure a day, and toward Asuppim two and two.

18 Dal lato di Parbar, verso Occidente, [ve n'erano] quattro in su la strada, [e] due in Parbar.

In Parbar towarde the West were foure by the paued streete, and two in Parbar.

19 Questi [furono] gli spartimenti de' portinai fra i figliuoli di Core, ed i figliuoli di Merari.

These are the diuisions of the porters of the sonnes of Kore, and of the sonnes of Merari.

20 E QUANT'è agli [altri] Leviti, Ahia [era] sopra i tesori della Casa di Dio, e sopra i tesori delle cose consacrate.

And of the Leuites. Ahiiah was ouer the treasures of the house of God, and ouer the treasures of the dedicate things.

21 [Quant'è a]'figliuoli di Ladan, [cioè], a' figliuoli de' Ghersoniti, [discesi] di Ladan, [vi furono questi] capi delle [famiglie] paterne di Ladan Ghersonita, [cioè: ] Iehieli;

Of the sonnes of Laadan the sonnes of the Gershunnites descending of Laadan, the chiefe fathers of Laadan were Gershunni and Iehieli.

22 ed i figliuoli di Iehieli; [e] Zetam, e Ioel, suo fratello, [i quali] ebbero il carico de' tesori della Casa del Signore.

The sonnes of Iehieli were Zethan and Ioel his brother, appoynted ouer the treasures of the house of the Lord.

23 Quant'[è] agli Amramiti, Ishariti, Hebroniti, ed Uzzieliti.

Of the Amramites, of the Izharites, of the Hebronites and of the Ozielites.

24 Sebuel, figliuolo di Ghersom, figliuolo di Mosè, [era] soprantendente sopra i tesori.

And Shebuel the sonne of Gershom, the sonne of Moses, a ruler ouer the treasures.

25 E quant'è a' suoi fratelli, dal lato di Eliezer, di cui [fu] figliuolo Rehabia, di cui [fu] figliuolo Isaia, di cui [fu] figliuolo Gioram, di cui [fu] figliuolo Zicri, di cui [fu] figliuolo Selomit;

And of his brethren which came of Eliezer, was Rehabiah his sonne, and Ieshaiah his sonne, and Ioram his sonne, and Zichri his sonne, and Shelomith his sonne.

26 questo Selomit, e i suoi fratelli, [erano] sopra tutti i tesori delle cose sacre, che il re Davide, e i capi delle [famiglie] paterne, d'infra i capi delle migliaia, e delle centinaia, e i capitani dell'esercito, aveano consacrate,

Which Shelomith and his brethren were ouer al the treasures of the dedicate things, which Dauid the King, and the chiefe fathers, the captaines ouer thousands, and hundreths, and the captaines of the armie had dedicated.

27 avendole consacrate delle guerre, e delle spoglie, per riparar la Casa del Signore;

(For of the battels and of the spoyles they did dedicate to maintaine the house of the Lord)

28 insieme con tutto quello che il veggente Samuele, e Saulle, figliuolo di Chis, ed Abner, figliuolo di Ner, e Ioab, figliuolo di Seruia, aveano consacrato. Se alcuno consacrava [alcuna cosa, quello era messo] sotto le mani di Selomit, e de' suoi fratelli.

And al that Samuel the Seer had dedicate and Saul the sonne of Kish and Abner the sonne of Ner, and Ioab the sonne of Zeruiah, and whosoeuer had dedicate any thing, it was vnder the hand of Shelomith, and his brethren.

29 QUANT'è agli Ishariti, Chenania e i suoi figliuoli aveano il carico dell'opera di fuori, sopra Israele, come ufficiali, e giudici.

Of the Izharites was Chenaniah and his sonnes, for the busines without ouer Israel, for officers and for Iudges.

30 Quant'è agli Hebroniti, Hasabia, e i suoi fratelli uomini di valore, [in numero di] mille settecento, aveano il carico del reggimento d'Israele di qua dal Giordano, verso Occidente, in ogni opera del Signore, e nel servigio del re.

Of the Hebronites, Ashabiah and his brethren, men of actiuitie, a thousande, and seuen hundreth were officers for Israel beyonde Iorden Westward, in all the busines of the Lord, and for the seruice of the King.

31 Quant'è agli [altri] Hebroniti, Ieria [fu] il capo delle lor generazioni, [divise] per famiglie paterne. L'anno quarantesimo del regno di Davide furono ricercati, e si trovarono fra essi in Iazer di Galaad degli uomini prodi e valorosi.

Among the Hebronites was Iediiah the chiefest, euen the Hebronites by his generations according to the families. And in the fourtieth yere of the reigne of Dauid they were sought for: and there were founde among them men of actiuitie at Iazer in Gilead.

32 Poi [v'erano] i fratelli di esso, uomini di valore, capi di [famiglie] paterne, [in numero di] duemila settecento. E il re Davide li costituì sopra i Rubeniti, e sopra i Gaditi, e sopra la mezza tribù di Manasse, in ogni affare di Dio e del re.

And his brethren men of actiuitie, two thousand and seuen hundreth chiefe fathers, whom King Dauid made rulers ouer the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the halfe tribe of Manasseh, for euery matter perteining to God, and for the Kings busines.
