1 POI Davide ed i capi dell'esercito fecero, fra i figliuoli di Asaf, e di Heman, e di Iedutun, gli spartimenti del servigio di quelli che aveano da profetizzar con cetere, con salteri, e con cembali; e la lor descrizione fu fatta d'uomini [abili] all'opera del lor ministerio.
David also divided off with the chiefs of the host for the service of the sons of Assaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, those who uttered praise [accompanied] with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals: and their number was of the men [that did] the work in their service.
2 I figliuoli di Asaf [furono] Zaccur, e Iosef, e Netania, ed Asareela, figliuoli di Asaf, il qual profetizzava sotto il re.
Of the sons of Assaph: Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethanyah, and Asharelah, the sons of Assaph under the supervision of Assaph, who uttered praise under the supervision of the king.
3 I figliuoli di Iedutun [furono] Ghedalia, e Seri, ed Isaia, ed Hasabia, e Mattitia, [e Simi], sei [in tutto], con cetere, sotto la condotta di Iedutun, lor padre, che profetizzava in celebrare e lodare il Signore.
Of Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedalyahu, and Zeri, and Jesha'yahu, Chashahyahu, and Matthithyahu, six, under the supervision of their father Jeduthun, who uttered praise with a harp, in order to give thanks and to utter praise unto the Lord.
4 I figliuoli di Heman [furono] Bucchia, Mattania, Uzziel, Sebuel, e Ierimot, Hanania, Hanani, Eliata, Ghiddalti, Romamtiezer, Iosbecasa, Malloti, Hotir, e Mahaziot.
Of Heman, the sons of Heman: Bukkiyahu, Matthanyahu, 'Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Chananyah, Chanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamti-'ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Machaz'oth;
5 Tutti questi [furono] figliuoli di Heman, veggente del re, nelle parole di Dio, [pertinenti] ad innalzare il corno. E Iddio avea dati ad Heman quattordici figliuoli, e tre figliuole.
All these sons of Heman the king's seer in the words of God, were to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.
6 Tutti costoro, sotto la condotta dei lor padri, [vacavano] alla musica della Casa del Signore, con cembali, salteri, e cetere, per lo ministerio della Casa di Dio; ed Asaf, Iedutun, ed Heman, [erano] sotto la condotta del re.
All these were under the supervision of their father at the singing in the house of the Lord, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of God, under the supervision of the king, Assaph, Jeduthun, and Heman.
7 E il numero loro, co' lor fratelli, ammaestrati nella musica del Signore, era di dugentottantotto, tutti mastri cantori.
And their number, with their brethren that were practised in singing unto the Lord, even all that were acquainted [therewith], was two hundred eighty and eight.
8 E si tirarono le sorti delle mute del servigio, i piccoli al par de' grandi, i mastri al par de' discepoli.
And they cast lots, division against [division], the small well as the great, the one acquainted with his business together with the scholar.
9 E la prima sorte scadde per Asaf, a Iosef; la seconda a Ghedalia, [il quale], coi suoi fratelli, e figliuoli, [faceva il numero di] dodici;
And there came forth the first lot for Assaph for Joseph; Gedalyahu was the second, he with his brethren and sons, being twelve:
10 la terza a Zaccur, [il quale], co' suoi figliuoli, e fratelli, [faceva il numero di] dodici;
The third was Zaccur, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve:
11 la quarta ad Isri, [il quale], co' suoi figliuoli, e fratelli, [faceva il numero di] dodici;
The fourth was for Yizri, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
12 la quinta a Netania, [il quale], co' suoi figliuoli, e fratelli, [faceva il numero di] dodici;
The fifth was Nethanyahu, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve:
13 la sesta a Bucchia, [il quale], co' suoi figliuoli, e fratelli, [faceva il numero di] dodici;
The sixth was Bukkiyahu, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve:
14 la settima a Iesareela, [il quale], co' suoi figliuoli, e fratelli, [faceva il numero di] dodici;
The seventh was Jessarelah, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
15 l'ottava ad Isaia, [il quale], coi suoi figliuoli, e fratelli, [faceva il numero di] dodici;
The eighth was Jesha'yahu, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
16 la nona a Mattania, [il quale], co' suoi figliuoli, e fratelli, [faceva il numero di] dodici;
The ninth was Matthanyahu, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
17 la decima a Simi, [il quale], co' suoi figliuoli, e fratelli, [faceva il numero di] dodici;
The tenth was Shim'i, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
18 l'undecima ad Azareel, [il quale], co' suoi figliuoli, e fratelli, [faceva il numero di] dodici;
The eleventh was 'Asarel, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
19 la duodecima ad Hasabia, [il quale], co' suoi figliuoli, e fratelli, [faceva il numero di] dodici;
The twelfth was for Chashahyah, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
20 la tredecima a Subael, [il quale], co' suoi figliuoli, e fratelli, [faceva il numero di] dodici;
The thirteenth was Shuhael, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
21 la quartadecima a Mattitia, [il quale], co' suoi figliuoli, e fratelli, [faceva il numero di] dodici;
The fourteenth was Matthithyahu, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
22 la quintadecima a Ieremot, [il quale], co' suoi figliuoli, e fratelli, [faceva il numero di] dodici;
The fifteenth was for Jeremoth, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
23 la sestadecima ad Hanania, [il quale], co' suoi figliuoli, e fratelli, [faceva il numero di] dodici;
The sixteenth was for Chananyahu, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
24 la diciassettesima a Iosbecasa, [il quale], co' suoi figliuoli, e fratelli, [faceva il numero di] dodici;
The seventeenth was for Joshbekashah, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
25 la diciottesima ad Hanani, [il quale], co' suoi figliuoli, e fratelli, [faceva il numero di] dodici;
The eighteenth was for Chanani, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
26 la diciannovesima a Malloti, [il quale], co' suoi figliuoli, e fratelli, [faceva il numero di] dodici;
The nineteenth was for Mallothi, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
27 la ventesima ad Eliata, [il quale], co' suoi figliuoli, e fratelli, [faceva il numero di] dodici;
The twentieth was for Eliyathah, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
28 la ventunesima ad Hotir, [il quale], co' suoi figliuoli, e fratelli, [faceva il numero di] dodici;
The one and twentieth was for Hothir, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
29 la ventiduesima a Ghiddalti, [il quale], co' suoi figliuoli, e fratelli, [faceva il numero di] dodici;
The two and twentieth was for Giddalthi, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
30 la ventesimaterza a Mahaziot, [il quale], co' suoi figliuoli, e fratelli, [faceva il numero di] dodici;
The three and twentieth was for Machasioth, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;
31 la ventiquattresima a Romamtiezer, [il quale], co' suoi figliuoli, e fratelli, [faceva il numero di] dodici;
The four and twentieth was for Romamthi-'eser, his sons and his brethren, being twelve.
