1 Il Signore regna, si ammanta di splendore; il Signore si riveste, si cinge di forza; rende saldo il mondo, non sarà mai scosso.

The LORD reigns. He is clothed with majesty. The LORD is armed with strength. The world also is established. It can't be moved.

2 Saldo è il tuo trono fin dal principio, da sempre tu sei.

Your throne is established from long ago. You are from everlasting.

3 Alzano i fiumi, Signore, alzano i fiumi la loro voce, alzano i fiumi il loro fragore.

The floods have lifted up, LORD, the floods have lifted up their voice. The floods lift up their waves.

4 Ma più potente delle voci di grandi acque, più potente dei flutti del mare, potente nell'alto è il Signore.

More majestic than the sounds of many waters, more majestic than the breakers of the sea, the LORD on high is majestic.

5 Degni di fede sono i tuoi insegnamenti, la santità si addice alla tua casa per la durata dei giorni, Signore.

Your statutes stand firm. Holiness adorns your house, LORD, forevermore.
