Salmi 121

1 Alzo gli occhi verso i monti: da dove mi verrà l'aiuto? Canto delle ascensioni.

A Song of degrees. I will lift up my eyes to the hills, from which cometh my help.

2 Il mio aiuto viene dal Signore, che ha fatto cielo e terra.

My help cometh from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

3 Non lascerà vacillare il tuo piede, non si addormenterà il tuo custode.

He will not allow thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

4 Non si addormenterà, non prenderà sonno, il custode d'Israele.

Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

5 Il Signore è il tuo custode, il Signore è come ombra che ti copre, e sta alla tua destra.

The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.

6 Di giorno non ti colpirà il sole, né la luna di notte.

The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

7 Il Signore ti proteggerà da ogni male, egli proteggerà la tua vita.

The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

8 Il Signore veglierà su di te, quando esci e quando entri, da ora e per sempre.

The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
