Neemia 3
1 Eliasìb, sommo sacerdote, con i suoi fratelli sacerdoti si misero a costruire la porta delle Pecore; la consacrarono e vi misero i battenti; continuarono a costruire fino alla torre di Mea, che poi consacrarono, e fino alla torre di Cananeèl.
Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brother priests, and they built the Sheep Gate. They consecrated it and set its doors in place. They consecrated it as far as the Tower of the Hundred and as far as the Tower of Hananel.
2 Accanto a Eliasìb lavoravano gli uomini di Gerico e accanto a loro lavorava Zaccùr figlio di Imri.
Next to him the men of Jericho worked, and next to them Zaccur son of Imri worked.
3 I figli di Senaà costruirono la porta dei Pesci, ne fecero l'intelaiatura e vi posero i battenti, le serrature e le sbarre.
The sons of Hassenaah built the Fish Gate. They made beams for it, and set its doors, its bolts, and its bars.
4 Accanto a loro lavorava alle riparazioni Meremòt figlio di Uria, figlio di Akkoz; accanto a loro lavorava alle riparazioni Mesullàm, figlio di Berechia figlio di Mesezabèel; accanto a loro lavorava alle riparazioni Zadòk figlio di Baana;
Meremoth repaired the next section. He is the son of Uriah son of Hakkoz. Next to them Meshullam repaired. He is the son of Berechiah son of Meshezabel. Next to them Zadok repaired. He is the son of Baana.
5 accanto a loro lavoravano alle riparazioni quelli di Tekòa; ma i loro notabili non piegarono il collo a lavorare all'opera del loro Signore.
Next to them the Tekoites repaired, but their leaders refused to do the work ordered by their supervisors.
6 Ioiadà figlio di Pasèach e Mesullàm figlio di Besodia, restaurarono la porta Vecchia; ne fecero l'intelaiatura e vi posero i battenti, le serrature e le sbarre.
Joiada son of Paseah and Meshullam son of Besodeiah repaired the Old Gate. They made beams for it, and set its doors, its bolts, and its bars.
7 Accanto a loro lavoravano alle riparazioni Melatia il Gabaonita, Iadon il Meronotita, e gli uomini di Gàbaon e di Mizpà, alle dipendenze della sede del governatore dell'Oltrefiume;
Next to them Melatiah the Gibeonite and Jadon the Meronothite, who were men from Gibeon and Mizpah, made repairs on the portion where the governor of the Province Beyond the River lived.
8 accanto a loro lavorava alle riparazioni Uzzièl figlio di Caraia tra gli orefici e accanto a lui lavorava Anania tra i profumieri. Essi hanno rinforzato Gerusalemme fino al Muro Largo;
Next to him Uzziel son of Harhaiah, one of the goldsmiths, repaired, and next to him was Hananiah, a maker of perfumes. They rebuilt Jerusalem as far as the Broad Wall.
9 accanto a loro lavorava alle riparazioni Refaia figlio di Cur, capo della metà del distretto di Gerusalemme.
Next to them Rephaiah son of Hur repaired. He was the ruler of half the district of Jerusalem.
10 Accanto a loro lavorava alle riparazioni, di fronte alla sua casa, Iedaia figlio di Carumaf e accanto a lui lavorava Cattus figlio di Casabnià.
Next to them Jedaiah son of Harumaph repaired next to his house. Next to him Hattush son of Hashabneiah repaired.
11 Malchia figlio di Carim e Cassùb figlio di Pacat-Moab restaurarono la parte successiva di mura e la torre dei Forni.
Malchijah son of Harim and Hasshub son of Pahath-Moab repaired another section along with the Tower of the Ovens.
12 Accanto a loro lavorava alle riparazioni insieme con le figlie, Sallùm figlio di Allòches, capo della metà del distretto di Gerusalemme.
Next to them Shallum son of Hallohesh, the ruler of half the district of Jerusalem, repaired, along with his daughters.
13 Canun e gli abitanti di Zanòach restaurarono la porta della Valle; la ricostruirono, vi posero i battenti, le serrature e le sbarre. Fecero inoltre mille cubiti di muro fino alla porta del Letame.
Hanun and the inhabitants of Zanoah repaired the Valley Gate. They rebuilt it and set its doors, its bolts, and its bars. They repaired a thousand cubits as far as the Dung Gate.
14 Malchia figlio di Recàb, capo del distretto di Bet-Kerem, restaurò la porta del Letame; la ricostruì, vi pose i battenti, le serrature e le sbarre.
Malchijah son of Recab, the ruler of the district of Beth Hakkerem, repaired the Dung Gate. He built it and set its doors, its bolts, and its bars.
15 Sallùm figlio di Col-Coze, capo del distretto di Mizpà, restaurò la porta della Fonte; la ricostruì, la coprì, vi pose i battenti, le serrature e le sbarre. Fece inoltre il muro della piscina di Siloe, presso il giardino del re, fino alla scalinata per cui si scende dalla città di Davide.
Shallun son of Kol-Hozeh, the ruler of the district of Mizpah, rebuilt the Fountain Gate. He built it, and put a cover on it and set its doors, its bolts, and its bars. He also rebuilt the wall of the Pool of Siloam by the king's garden, as far as the stairs leading down from the city of David.
16 Dopo di lui Neemia figlio di Azbuk, capo della metà del distretto di Bet-Zur, lavorò alle riparazioni fin davanti alle tombe di Davide, fino alla piscina artificiale e fino alla casa dei Prodi.
Nehemiah son of Azbuk, the ruler of half the district of Beth Zur, repaired to the place across from the tombs of David, to the man-made pool, and to the house of the mighty men.
17 Dopo di lui lavoravano alle riparazioni i leviti, sotto Recum figlio di Bani; accanto a lui lavorava per il suo distretto Casabià, capo della metà del distretto di Keilà.
After him the Levites repaired, including Rehum son of Bani and next to him, Hashabiah, the ruler of half the district of Keilah, for his district.
18 Dopo di lui lavoravano alle riparazioni i loro fratelli, sotto Binnui figlio di Chenadàd, capo dell'altra metà del distretto di Keilà;
After him their countrymen repaired, including Binnui son of Henadad, the ruler of half the district of Keilah.
19 accanto a lui Ezer figlio di Giosuè, capo di Mizpà, restaurava un'altra parte delle mura, di fronte alla salita dell'arsenale, all'angolo.
Next to him, Ezer son of Jeshua, the ruler of Mizpah, repaired another section that faced the ascent to the armory at the corner of the wall.
20 Dopo di lui Baruch figlio di Zaccai ne restaurava con ardore un'altra parte dall'angolo fino alla porta della casa di Eliasìb sommo sacerdote.
After him Baruch son of Zabbai devotedly repaired another section, from the corner of the wall to the door of the house of Eliashib the high priest.
21 Dopo di lui Meremòt figlio di Uria, figlio di Akkoz, ne restaurava un'altra parte, dalla porta della casa di Eliasìb fino all'estremità della casa di Eliasìb.
After him Meremoth son of Uriah son of Hakkoz repaired another section, from the door of the house of Eliashib to the end of the house of Eliashib.

After them Benjamin and Hasshub repaired opposite their own house. After them Azariah son of Maaseiah son of Ananiah repaired next to his own house.
24 Dopo di lui Binnui figlio di Chenadàd restaurò un'altra parte delle mura, dalla casa di Azaria fino alla svolta, cioè all'angolo.
After him Binnui son of Henadad repaired another section, from the house of Azariah to the corner of the wall.
25 Palal figlio di Uzai lavorò di fronte alla svolta e alla torre sporgente dal piano di sopra della reggia, che dà sul cortile della prigione. Dopo di lui lavorava Pedaia figlio di Pareos.
Palal son of Uzai repaired over against the corner of the wall and the tower that extends upward from the upper house of the king at the courtyard of the guard. After him Pedaiah son of Parosh repaired.
26 Gli oblati che abitavano sull'Ofel lavoravano fin davanti alla porta delle Acque, verso oriente, e di fronte alla torre sporgente.
Now the temple servants living in Ophel repaired to the point opposite the Water Gate on the east and the projecting tower.
27 Dopo di loro quelli di Tekòa ne restaurarono un'altra parte, di fronte alla gran torre sporgente e fino al muro dell'Ofel.
After him the Tekoites repaired another section that was opposite the great projecting tower as far as the wall of Ophel.
28 I sacerdoti lavoravano alle riparazioni sopra la porta dei Cavalli, ciascuno di fronte alla sua casa.
The priests repaired above the Horse Gate, each opposite his own house.
29 Dopo di loro Zadòk figlio di Immer lavorava di fronte alla sua casa. Dopo di lui lavorava Semaia figlio di Secania, custode della porta d'oriente.

The goldsmiths and the merchants repaired between the upper chamber of the corner and the Sheep Gate.
