Luca 4
1 Gesù, pieno di Spirito Santo, si allontanò dal Giordano e fu condotto dallo Spirito nel deserto
Iesus then full of the holy goost returnyd fro Iordan and was caryed of ye sprete into wildernes
2 dove, per quaranta giorni, fu tentato dal diavolo. Non mangiò nulla in quei giorni; ma quando furono terminati ebbe fame.
and was. xl. dayes tempted of the devyll. And in thoose dayes ate he no thinge. And when they were ended he afterward hongred.
3 Allora il diavolo gli disse: «Se tu sei Figlio di Dio, dì a questa pietra che diventi pane».
And the devyll sayde vnto him: yf thou be the sonne of God comaunde this stone yt it be breed.
4 Gesù gli rispose: «Sta scritto: Non di solo pane vivrà l'uomo ».
And Iesus answered hym sayinge: It is writte: man shall not live by breed only but by every worde of God.
5 Il diavolo lo condusse in alto e, mostrandogli in un istante tutti i regni della terra, gli disse:
And ye devyll toke him vp into an hye moutayne and shewed him all the kyngdoms of the worlde eve in ye twincklinge of an eye.
6 «Ti darò tutta questa potenza e la gloria di questi regni, perché è stata messa nelle mie mani e io la do a chi voglio.
And ye devyll sayde vnto him: all this power will I geve ye every whit and the glory of the: for yt is delyvered to me and to whosoever I will I geve it.
7 Se ti prostri dinanzi a me tutto sarà tuo».
Yf thou therfore wilt worshippe me they shalbe all thyne.
8 Gesù gli rispose: «Sta scritto: Solo al Signore Dio tuo ti prostrerai, lui solo adorerai ».
Iesus answered him and sayde: hence from me Sathan. For it is written: Thou shalt honour the Lorde thy God and him only serve.
9 Lo condusse a Gerusalemme, lo pose sul pinnacolo del tempio e gli disse: «Se tu sei Figlio di Dio, buttati giù;
And he caryed him to Ierusalem and set him on a pynacle of the temple and sayd vnto him: Yf thou be the sonne of God cast thy silfe doune from hens.
10 Ai suoi angeli darà ordine per te, perché essi ti custodiscano; sta scritto infatti:
For it is written he shall geve his angels charge over the to kepe the
11 essi ti sosterranno con le mani, perché il tuo piede non inciampi in una pietra ». e anche:
and with there hondis they shall stey the vp that thou dasshe not thy fote agaynst a stone.
12 Gesù gli rispose: «E' stato detto: Non tenterai il Signore Dio tuo ».
Iesus answered and sayde to him it is sayd: thou shalt not tempte the Lorde thy God.
13 Dopo aver esaurito ogni specie di tentazione, il diavolo si allontanò da lui per ritornare al tempo fissato.
Assone as the devyll had ended all his temptacions he departed from him for a season.
14 Gesù ritornò in Galilea con la potenza dello Spirito Santo e la sua fama si diffuse in tutta la regione.
And Iesus retourned by the power of ye sprete in to Galile and there went a fame of him thorowe oute all the regio roude aboute.
15 Insegnava nelle loro sinagoghe e tutti ne facevano grandi lodi.
And he taught in their synagoges and was commended of all men.
16 Si recò a Nazaret, dove era stato allevato; ed entrò, secondo il suo solito, di sabato nella sinagoga e si alzò a leggere.
And he came to Nazareth where he was noursed and as hys custome was went in to the synagoge on the Saboth dayes and stode vp for to rede.
17 Gli fu dato il rotolo del profeta Isaia; apertolo trovò il passo dove era scritto:
And ther was delyvered vnto him ye boke of ye Prophete Esaias. And when he had opened the boke he founde the place where it was written.
18 Lo Spirito del Signore è sopra di me; per questo mi ha consacrato con l'unzione, e mi ha mandato per annunziare ai poveri un lieto messaggio, per proclamare ai prigionieri la liberazione e ai ciechi la vista; per rimettere in libertà gli oppressi,
The sprete of the lorde vpon me because he hath annoynted me: to preache ye gospell to ye poore he hath sent me: and to heale the broken harted: to preache delyverauce to the captive and sight to the blinde and frely to set at lyberte them that are brused
19 e predicare un anno di grazia del Signore.
and to preache the acceptable yeare of the Lorde.
20 Poi arrotolò il volume, lo consegnò all'inserviente e sedette. Gli occhi di tutti nella sinagoga stavano fissi sopra di lui.
And he cloosed the booke and gave it agayne to the minister and sate doune. And the eyes of all that were in the synagoge were fastened on him.
21 Allora cominciò a dire: «Oggi si è adempiuta questa Scrittura che voi avete udita con i vostri orecchi».
And he began to saye vnto them. This daye is this scripture fulfilled in youre eares.
22 Tutti gli rendevano testimonianza ed erano meravigliati delle parole di grazia che uscivano dalla sua bocca e dicevano: «Non è il figlio di Giuseppe?».
And all bare him witnes and wondred at the gracious wordes which proceded oute of his mouth and sayde: Is not this Iosephs sonne?
23 Ma egli rispose: «Di certo voi mi citerete il proverbio: Medico, cura te stesso. Quanto abbiamo udito che accadde a Cafarnao, fàllo anche qui, nella tua patria!».
And he sayde vnto them: Ye maye very well saye vnto me this proverbe: Phisicion heale thy silfe. Whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum do the same here lyke wyse in thyne awne countre.
24 Poi aggiunse: «Nessun profeta è bene accetto in patria.
And he sayde verely I saye vnto you: No Prophet is accepted in his awne countre.
25 Vi dico anche: c'erano molte vedove in Israele al tempo di Elia, quando il cielo fu chiuso per tre anni e sei mesi e ci fu una grande carestia in tutto il paese;
But I tell you of a truth many wyddowes were in Israell in the dayes of Helias when hevyn was shet thre yeres and syxe monethes when greate fammisshemet was throughoute all the londe
26 ma a nessuna di esse fu mandato Elia, se non a una vedova in Sarepta di Sidone.
and vnto none of them was Helias sent save in to Sarephta besydes Sidon vnto a woma that was a widow.
27 C'erano molti lebbrosi in Israele al tempo del profeta Eliseo, ma nessuno di loro fu risanato se non Naaman, il Siro».
And many lepers were in Israel in the tyme of Heliseus the Prophete: and yet none of them was healed savinge Naaman of Siria.
28 All'udire queste cose, tutti nella sinagoga furono pieni di sdegno;
And as many as were in ye sinagoge when they herde that were filled with wrath:
29 si levarono, lo cacciarono fuori della città e lo condussero fin sul ciglio del monte sul quale la loro città era situata, per gettarlo giù dal precipizio.
and roose vp and thrust him oute of the cite and ledde him eve vnto the edge of the hill wher on their cite was bilte to cast him doune hedlynge.
30 Ma egli, passando in mezzo a loro, se ne andò.
But he went his waye eve thorow the myddes of them:
31 Poi discese a Cafarnao, una città della Galilea, e al sabato ammaestrava la gente.
and came in to Capernaum a cyte of Galile and there taught the on the Saboth dayes.
32 Rimanevano colpiti dal suo insegnamento, perché parlava con autorità.
And they were astonyed at his doctrine: for his preachige was wt power.
33 Nella sinagoga c'era un uomo con un demonio immondo e cominciò a gridare forte:
And in the synagoge ther was a ma which had a sprete of an vncleane devell and cryed with aloude voyce
34 «Basta! Che abbiamo a che fare con te, Gesù Nazareno? Sei venuto a rovinarci? So bene chi sei: il Santo di Dio!».
sayinge: let me alone what hast thou to do with vs thou Iesus of Nazareth? Arte thou come to destroye vs? I knowe the what thou arte eve the holy of God.
35 Gesù gli intimò: «Taci, esci da costui!». Eil demonio, gettatolo a terra in mezzo alla gente, uscì da lui, senza fargli alcun male.
And Iesus rebuked him sayinge: holde thy peace and come oute of him. And the devyll threwe him in the myddes of them and came oute of him and hurt him not.
36 Tutti furono presi da paura e si dicevano l'un l'altro: «Che parola è mai questa, che comanda con autorità e potenza agli spiriti immondi ed essi se ne vanno?».
And feare came on them all and they spake amonge them selves sayinge: what maner a thinge is this? For with auctorite and power he commaundeth the foule spretes and they come out?
37 E si diffondeva la fama di lui in tutta la regione.
And ye fame of him spreed abroode thorowoute all places of the countre round aboute.
38 Uscito dalla sinagoga entrò nella casa di Simone. La suocera di Simone era in preda a una grande febbre e lo pregarono per lei.
And he roose vp and came oute of ye sinagoge and entred in to Simons housse. And Simos motherelawe was take with a greate fever and they made intercession to him for her.
39 Chinatosi su di lei, intimò alla febbre, e la febbre la lasciò. Levatasi all'istante, la donna cominciò a servirli.
And he stode over her and rebuked the fever: and it leeft her. And immediatly she arose and ministred vnto them.
40 Al calar del sole, tutti quelli che avevano infermi colpiti da mali di ogni genere li condussero a lui. Ed egli, imponendo su ciascuno le mani, li guariva.
When the sonne was doune all they that had sicke take with divers deseases brought them vnto him: and he layde his hondes on every one of them and healed them.
41 Da molti uscivano demòni gridando: «Tu sei il Figlio di Dio!». Ma egli li minacciava e non li lasciava parlare, perché sapevano che era il Cristo.
And devils also cam out of many of them crying and saying: thou arte Christ the sonne of God. And he rebuked them and suffered them not to speake: for they knewe that he was Christ.
42 Sul far del giorno uscì e si recò in un luogo deserto. Ma le folle lo cercavano, lo raggiunsero e volevano trattenerlo perché non se ne andasse via da loro.
Assone as it was daye he departed and went awaye into a desert place and ye people sought him and came to him and kept him that he shuld not departe from the.
43 Egli però disse: «Bisogna che io annunzi il regno di Dio anche alle altre città; per questo sono stato mandato».
And he sayde vnto the: I muste to other cities also preache the kyngdome of God: for therfore am I sent.
44 E andava predicando nelle sinagoghe della Giudea.
And he preached in the synagoges of Galile.
