Zefanya 3

1 Terkutuklah Yerusalem, kota bejat yang suka memberontak terhadap TUHAN dan yang menindas penduduknya sendiri!

Wo! thou citee, terrere to wraththe, and bouyt ayen a culuer.

2 Celakalah kota yang tidak mau menerima peringatan TUHAN, dan tidak pula mengindahkan teguran-teguran-Nya, yang tidak menyerahkan nasibnya kepada TUHAN, dan tidak meminta tolong kepada-Nya!

It herde not the vois of the Lord, and resseyuede not techyng, ether chastisyng; it tristenyde not in the Lord, it neiyide not to her God.

3 Pembesar-pembesar kota itu seperti singa yang mengaum-aum. Hakim-hakimnya seperti serigala-serigala lapar; mereka sangat serakah sehingga satu tulang pun tak ada yang ditinggalkan untuk besoknya.

Princes therof in myddil therof weren as liouns rorynge; iugis therof weren wolues, in the euentid thei leften not in to morewe.

4 Nabi-nabinya tidak punya rasa tanggung jawab dan tidak dapat dipercaya; para imam menajiskan apa yang dikhususkan untuk TUHAN dan memutarbalikkan hukum-hukum Allah untuk keuntungan mereka sendiri.

5 Tetapi TUHAN masih ada di kota itu; Ia selalu melakukan yang benar dan tidak pernah yang salah. Setiap pagi pastilah Ia memberi keadilan kepada umat-Nya. Namun, orang yang tidak kenal keadilan di kota itu tetap berbuat jahat tanpa kenal malu.

6 TUHAN berkata, "Aku telah melenyapkan banyak bangsa; kota-kota mereka Kuhancurkan, dan tembok-tembok serta menara-menara mereka Kujadikan puing-puing. Kota-kota mereka sunyi tanpa penghuni dan jalan-jalannya lengang.

7 Pikir-Ku, 'Sekarang pastilah umat-Ku menghormati Aku dan mengindahkan segala teguran-Ku. Tentulah mereka mengingat pelajaran yang Kuberikan kepada mereka.' Tetapi nyatanya, mereka lebih giat lagi berbuat jahat daripada sebelumnya.

Y seide, Netheles thou schalt drede me, thou schalt resseyue techyng; and the dwellyng place therof schal not perische, for alle thingis in whiche Y visitide it; netheles ful eerli thei risynge han corrupt alle her thouytis.

8 Tetapi awas! Tunggu saja harinya Aku bangkit sebagai pengadu. Sebab sudah Kuputuskan untuk mengumpulkan bangsa-bangsa dan kerajaan-kerajaan guna menimpakan murka-Ku ke atas mereka. Seluruh bumi akan habis dimakan api kemarahan-Ku.

Wherfor abide thou me, seith the Lord, in the dai of my rysyng ayen in to comynge. For my doom is, that Y gadere folkis, and Y schal gadere rewmes; and Y schal schede out on hem myn indignacioun, and al wraththe of my strong veniaunce; for in fier of my feruour al erthe schal be deuourid.

9 Tetapi kemudian Aku akan mengubah hati bangsa-bangsa itu, sehingga mereka berdoa kepada-Ku saja, dan tidak kepada ilah-ilah lain. Bangsa-bangsa itu semua akan mentaati Aku.

For thanne Y schal yelde to puplis a chosun lippe, that alle clepe inwardli in the name of the Lord, and serue to hym with o schuldre.

10 Bahkan dari Sudan yang jauh, umat-Ku yang tercerai-berai itu akan datang dan mempersembahkan kurban kepada-Ku.

11 Pada waktu itu, hai umat-Ku, kamu tak perlu merasa malu lagi karena telah memberontak terhadap Aku. Aku akan mengusir setiap orang yang sombong dan angkuh, dan kamu tidak akan memberontak lagi terhadap Aku di bukit-Ku yang suci.

In that day thou schalt not be confoundid on alle thi fyndyngis, in whiche thou trespassidist ayens me; for thanne Y schal take awei fro the myddil of thee grete spekeris of thi pride, and thou schalt no more put to, for to be enhaunsid in myn hooli hil.

12 Di sana akan Kubiarkan menetap suatu bangsa yang rendah hati, yang mengandalkan pertolongan-Ku. Mereka boleh tinggal di sana.

And Y schal leeue in the myddil of thee a pore puple and nedi; and thei schulen hope in the name of the Lord.

13 Orang Israel yang masih tersisa, tidak akan berbuat jahat lagi kepada siapa pun; mereka tak akan berbohong lagi dan tidak pula menipu. Mereka akan makmur dan sejahtera, dan tidak merasa takut kepada siapa pun."

The relifs of Israel schulen not do wickidnesse, nether schulen speke leesyng, and a gileful tunge schal not be foundun in the mouth of hem; for thei schulen be fed, and schulen reste, and ther schal not be that schal make aferd.

14 Hai Israel, bersoraklah dan bernyanyi! Hai Yerusalem, bergembiralah dengan segenap hati!

These thingis seith the Lord, Douyter of Sion, herie thou hertli, synge thou, Israel; be thou glad, and make thou ioie withoutforth in al thin herte, thou douyter of Jerusalem.

15 Sebab TUHAN berhenti menghukum kamu; Ia telah mengusir segala musuhmu. Kamu dilindungi oleh raja Israel, Tuhanmu sendiri. Sekarang kamu tak perlu merasa takut lagi.

16 Akan tiba saatnya orang-orang akan berkata nanti, "Hai Yerusalem, janganlah takut dan tawar hati.

In that dai it schal be seid, Jerusalem, nyle thou drede; Sion, thin hondis be not clumsid.

17 Kamu dilindungi oleh TUHAN Allahmu yang perkasa. Kamu menang karena kuasa-Nya. TUHAN gembira dan bersukacita karena kamu, dalam kasih-Nya diberi-Nya kamu hidup baru.

Thi Lord God is strong in the myddil of thee, he schal saue; he schal make ioie on thee in gladnesse, he schal be stille in thi louyng, he schal make ioie withoutforth on thee in heriyng.

18 Karena kamu, Ia bernyanyi gembira seperti orang yang sedang berpesta." Kata TUHAN, "Malapetaka yang mengancam kamu Kutiadakan. Kehinaanmu telah Kuhapuskan.

Y schal gadere the foolis, ether veyn men, that wenten awei fro the lawe, for thei weren of thee, that thou haue no more schenschipe on hem.

19 Masanya akan datang penindasmu Kuhancurkan, dan orang pincang Kuselamatkan; semua buangan Kubimbing pulang. Kehinaan mereka Kuubah menjadi kehormatan; di mana saja, bahkan di seluruh bumi, mereka akan dimuliakan dan dipuji.

20 Masanya akan datang, pendudukmu yang terpencar Kubimbing pulang. Kamu Kubuat tenar di seluruh muka bumi, dan kemakmuranmu akan Kupulihkan lagi." TUHAN telah berbicara.
