Yosua 15
1 Keluarga-keluarga dari suku Yehuda menerima bagian tanah yang batas-batasnya adalah sebagai berikut: Di sebelah selatan, daerah itu terbentang sampai ujung paling selatan daerah padang gurun Zin di perbatasan Edom;
And the lot for the tribe of the children of Judah after their families came by the border of Edom, with the wilderness of Zin, southward, as the uttermost southern boundary.
2 mulai dari ujung selatan Laut Mati,
And their southern boundary was from the end of the salt sea, from the bay that bendeth southward:
3 terus ke selatan melalui lereng-lereng gunung di Akrabim sampai ke Zin. Selanjutnya melalui selatan Kades-Barnea, terus melalui Hezron, naik ke Adar, kemudian membelok ke arah Karka.
And it went out to the south of the heights of 'Akrabbim, and passed along to Zin, and ascended up on the south side unto Kadesh-barnea, and passed along to Chezron, and went up to Adar, and fetched a compass to Karka';
4 Dari situ terus pula ke Azmon, lalu menyusur anak sungai di perbatasan Mesir, kemudian berakhir di Laut Tengah. Demikianlah garis perbatasan sebelah selatan daerah untuk Suku Yehuda. Dan garis perbatasan itu merupakan pula garis perbatasan sebelah selatan seluruh negeri Israel.
And it passed on toward 'Azmon, and went out unto the river of Egypt; and the terminations of the boundary were at the sea: this shall be your southern boundary.
5 Di sebelah timur, batasnya ialah Laut Mati, terus ke utara sampai ke muara Sungai Yordan. Di sebelah utara, batasnya mulai dari muara Sungai Yordan itu,
And the east boundary was the salt sea, unto the end of the Jordan. And the boundary in the north quarter was from the bay of the sea at the end of the Jordan;
6 naik ke Bet-Hogla, lalu terus ke batas Lembah Yordan. Dari situ perbatasan utara itu naik terus ke utara sampai ke Batu Bohan (Bohan adalah anak Ruben),
And the boundary went up to Beth-choglah, and passed along by the north of Beth'arabah; and the boundary went up to Ebenbohan the son of Reuben;
7 kemudian terus ke Lembah Kesusahan sampai ke Debir, lalu belok lagi ke utara ke arah Gilgal di tempat yang berhadapan dengan lereng-lereng gunung di Adumim sebelah selatan lembah itu. Dari situ terus lagi ke sumber air En-Semes, lalu ke En-Rogel,
And the boundary went up toward Debir from the Valley of 'Achor, and at the north it bent toward Gilgal, that is opposite the heights of Adummim, which is on the south side of the valley; and the boundary passed toward the waters of 'En-shemesh, and its terminations were at En-rogel;
8 kemudian naik melalui Lembah Hinom ke sebelah selatan bukit, di mana terletak Yerusalem, kota orang Yebus. Dari situ garis perbatasan itu menuju ke puncak bukit itu di sebelah barat Lembah Hinom, di ujung utara Lembah Refaim,
And the boundary went up to the valley of the son of Hinnom unto the south side of the Jebusite, the same is Jerusalem; and the boundary went up to the top of the mount that lieth before the valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the end of the valley of Rephaim northward;
9 kemudian terus ke sumber air Me-Neftoah, sampai ke kota-kota dekat Gunung Efron. Dari situ garis batas daerah itu membelok ke arah Baala (yaitu Kiryat-Yearim),
And the boundary extended from the top of the mount unto the spring of the waters of Nephtoach, and went out to the cities of mount 'Ephron; and the boundary extended to Ba'alah, which is Kiryath-ye'arim;
10 dan mengelilingi bagian barat Baala ke arah Pegunungan Edom, lalu terus ke bagian utara Gunung Yearim (yaitu Gunung Kesalon), dan turun ke Bet-Semes, kemudian terus ke Timna.
And the boundary compassed from Ba'alah westward unto mount Seir, and passed along unto the side of mount Ye'arim, which is Kessalon, on the north side, and went down to Beth-shemesh, and passed on to Timnah;
11 Dari Timna, garis batas itu selanjutnya menuju ke sebelah utara Gunung Ekron, lalu membelok ke arah Sikron, lewat Gunung Baala, terus ke Yabneel, dan berakhir di Laut Tengah,
And the boundary went out unto the side of 'Ekron northward; and the boundary extended to Shikron, and passed along to the mount of Ba'alah, and went out unto Yabneel; and the terminations of the boundary were at the sea.
12 yang merupakan garis perbatasan sebelah barat wilayah suku Yehuda. Di dalam wilayah itu tinggal orang-orang dari keluarga-keluarga dalam suku Yehuda.
And the west boundary was by the great sea, and the coast thereof. This is the boundary of the children of Judah round about according to their families.
13 Sesuai dengan perintah TUHAN kepada Yosua, sebagian daerah Yehuda diberikan kepada Kaleb anak Yefune dari suku Yehuda. Kepadanya diberikan Hebron, yaitu kota kepunyaan Arba, ayah Enak.
And unto Caleb the son of Yephunneh he gave as a portion among the children of Judah, according to the order of the Lord to Joshua, Kiryath-arba' the father of 'Anak, which is Hebron.
14 Keturunan Enak ialah orang Sesai, Ahiman dan Talmai. Kaleb mengusir mereka semuanya dari Hebron.
And Caleb drove out from there the three sons of 'Anak, Sheshai, and Achiman, and Talmai, the children of 'Anak.
15 Dari situ ia pergi menyerang orang-orang yang tinggal di Debir. (Kota itu dahulu terkenal sebagai Kiryat-Sefer.)
And he went up from there to the inhabitants of Debir; and the name of Debir before was Kiryath-sepher.
16 Kata Kaleb, "Barangsiapa dapat merebut Kiryat-Sefer, ia boleh kawin dengan anak perempuan saya, Akhsa."
And Caleb said, He that will smite Kiryath-sepher, and capture it, to him will I give 'Achsah my daughter for wife.
17 Otniel, anak dari saudara Kaleb yang bernama Kenas, merebut kota itu; maka Kaleb memberikan Akhsa, anaknya, menjadi istri Otniel.
And 'Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, captured it; and he gave him 'Achsah his daughter for wife.
18 Pada hari perkawinan mereka, Otniel mendesak Akhsa supaya meminta sebidang tanah dari ayahnya. Maka turunlah Akhsa dari keledainya, lalu Kaleb menanyakan kepadanya apa yang diinginkannya.
And it came to pass, as she came thither, that she persuaded him to ask of her father a field: and she alighted from her ass; and Caleb said unto her, What aileth thee?
19 Akhsa menjawab, "Saya ingin beberapa sumber air, sebab tanah yang ayah berikan kepada saya itu berada di daerah yang kering." Maka Kaleb memberikan kepadanya sumber air di bagian hulu dan sumber air di bagian hilir.
And she said, Give me a blessing; for a dry land hast thou given me: give me then also springs of water. And he gave her the upper springs and the lower springs.
20 Berikut ini adalah tanah yang diberikan kepada keluarga-keluarga dalam suku Yehuda untuk menjadi milik mereka.
This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Judah according to their families.
21 Kota-kota yang paling jauh di sebelah selatan, yang menjadi milik Yehuda, yaitu yang terletak di perbatasan Edom, semuanya ada dua puluh sembilan kota, termasuk desa-desa di sekitarnya. Kota-kota itu ialah: Kabzeel, Eder, Yagur, Kina, Dimona, Adada, Kedes, Hazor, Yitnan, Zif, Telem, Bealot, Hazor-Hadata, Keriot-Hezron (yaitu Hazor), Amam, Sema, Molada, Hazar-Gada, Hesmon, Bet-Pelet, Hazar-Sual, Bersyeba, Baala, Iyim, Ezem, Eltolad, Khesil, Horma, Ziklag, Madmana, Sansana, Lebaot, Silhim, Ain dan Rimon.
And the cities of the boundary line of the tribe of the children of Judah toward the border of Edom, on the south, were Kabzeel, and 'Eder, and Yagur,
And Kinah, and Dimonah, and 'Ad'adah,
And Kedesh, and Chazor, and Yithnan,
Ziph, and Telem, and Be'aloth,
And Chazor-chadattah, and Keriyoth-chezron, which is Chazor,
Amam, and Shema', and Moladah,
And Chazar-gaddah, and Cheshmon, and Beth-palet,
And Chazar-shual, and Beer-sheba, and Bizyotheyah,
Ba'alah, and 'Iyim, and 'Azem,
And Eltolad, and Kessil, and Chormah,
And Ziklag, and Madmannah, and Sansannah,
And Lebaoth, and Shilchim, and 'Ayin, and Rimmon: in all twenty and nine cities, with their villages.
33 Kota-kota, termasuk desa-desa di sekitarnya, yang terletak di kaki-kaki bukit, semuanya ada empat belas kota, yaitu: Esytaol, Zora, Asna, Zanoah, En-Ganim, Tapuah, Enam, Yarmut, Adulam, Sokho, Azeka, Saaraim, Aditaim, Gedera dan Gederotaim.
And in the lowlands, Eshtaol, and Zor'ah, and Ashnah.
And Zanoach, and 'En-gannim, Tappuach, and 'Enam,
Yarmuth, and 'Adullam, Sochoh, and 'Azekah,
And Sha'arayim, and 'Adithayim, and Gederah, and Gede-rothayim: fourteen cities with their villages.
37 Juga enam belas kota berikut ini bersama dengan desa-desa di sekitarnya: Zenan, Hadasa, Migdal-Gad, Dilean, Mizpa, Yokteel, Lakhis, Bozkat, Eglon, Khabon, Lahmas, Khitlis, Gederot, Bet-Dagon, Naama dan Makeda.
Zenan, and Chadashah, and Migdalgad,
And Dil'an, and Mizpeh, and Yoktheel,
Lachish, and Bozkath, and 'Eglon,
And Cabbon, and Lachmass, and Kithlish,
And Gederoth, Beth-dagon, and Na'amah, and Makkedah: sixteen cities with their villages.
42 Juga sembilan kota berikut ini bersama desa-desa di sekitarnya: Libna, Eter, Asan, Yiftah, Asna, Nezib, Kehila, Akhzib dan Maresa.
Libnah, and 'Ether, and 'Ashan,
And Yiphtach, and Ashnah, and Nezib,
And Ke'ilah, and Achzib, and Mareshah: nine cities with their villages.
45 Juga Ekron dengan kota-kota kecil dan desa-desanya,
'Ekron, with its towns and its villages:
46 serta semua kota-kota dan desa-desa di dekat Asdod, dari Ekron sampai ke Laut Tengah.
From 'Ekron even unto the sea, all that lay alongside of Ashdod, with their villages.
47 Begitu pula Asdod dan Gaza dengan kota-kota kecil dan desa-desanya yang tersebar sampai dekat anak sungai di perbatasan Mesir dan pantai Laut Tengah.
Ashdod with its towns and its villages, Gazzah, with its towns and its villages, up to the brook of Egypt, and the great sea, and its territory.
48 Di daerah pegunungan ada sebelas kota bersama desa-desa di sekitarnya: Samir, Yatir, Sokho, Dana, Kiryat-Sana (yaitu Debir), Anab, Estemoa, Anim, Gosyen, Holon dan Gilo.
And in the mountains, Shamir, and Yattir, and Sochoh,
And Dannah and Kiryath-sannah, which is Debir,
And 'Anab, and Eshtemoh, and 'Anim.
And Goshen, and Cholon, and Giloh: eleven cities with their villages.
52 Juga sembilan kota berikut ini, termasuk desa-desa di sekitarnya: Arab, Duma, Esan, Yanum, Bet-Tapuah, Afeka, Humta, Kiryat-Arba (yaitu Hebron) dan Zior.
Arab, and Dumah, and Esh'an,
And Vanum, and Beth-tappuach, and Aphekah,
And Chumtah, and Kiryath-arba', which is Hebron, and Zi'or: nine cities with their villages.
55 Juga sepuluh kota berikut ini bersama desa-desa di sekitarnya: Maon, Karmel, Zif, Yuta, Yizreel, Yokdeam, Zanoah, Kain, Gibea dan Timna.
Ma'on, Carmel, and Ziph, and Yutah,
And Yizre'el, and Yokde'am, and Zanoach,
Kayin, Gib'ah, and Timnah: ten cities with their villages.
58 Dan enam kota berikut ini pula, bersama desa-desa di sekitarnya: Halhul, Bet-Zur, Gedor, Maarat, Bet-Anot dan Eltekon.
Chatchul, Beth-zur, and Gedor,
And Ma'arath, and Beth-'anoth, and Eltekon: six cities with their village.
60 Juga kedua kota berikut ini bersama desa-desa di sekitarnya: Kota Kiryat-Baal (yaitu Kiryat-Yearim) dan Kota Raba.
Kiryath-baal, which is Kiryath-ye'arim, and Rabbah; two cities with their villages.
61 Di daerah padang gurun, ada enam kota berikut ini bersama desa-desa di sekitarnya: Bet-Araba, Midin, Sekhakha, Nibsan, Kota Garam dan En-Gedi.
In the wilderness, Beth-ha'arabah, Middin, and Sechachah,
And Nibshan, and 'Ir-hammelach, and 'En-gedi: six cities with their villages.
63 Kota Yerusalem termasuk juga milik Yehuda, tetapi orang Yehuda tidak dapat mengusir orang Yebus yang tinggal di situ. Sampai sekarang orang Yebus masih tinggal bersama orang Yehuda di kota itu.
As for the Jebusites the inhabitants of Jerusalem, these the children of Judah could not drive out; but the Jebusites dwelt with the children of Judah at Jerusalem, even unto this day.
