Kejadian 13

1 Abram meninggalkan Mesir dan pergi ke arah utara, menuju ke bagian selatan Kanaan dengan istrinya serta segala miliknya, dan Lot ikut juga.

Therfore Abram stiede fro Egipt, he, and his wijf, and alle thingis that he hadde; and Loth stiede with hym, to the south coost.

2 Abram kaya raya; ia memiliki domba, kambing, sapi, juga perak dan emas.

Forsothe he was ful riche in possessyoun of siluer and of gold.

3 Maka pergilah ia dari satu tempat ke tempat yang lain, menuju ke Betel. Ia sampai ke daerah di antara Betel dan Ai, di tempat keramat di mana ia dahulu berkemah

And he turnede ayen bi the weye in which he cam fro the south in to Bethel, `til to the place, in which bifore he hadde sett tabernacle, bitwixe Bethel and Hay,

4 dan mendirikan mezbah. Di situ ia menyembah TUHAN.

in the place of the auter which he made bifore, and inwardli clepide there the name of the Lord.

5 Lot juga mempunyai keluarga dan hamba-hamba serta domba, kambing dan sapi.

But also flockis of scheep, and droues of oxun, and tabernaclis weren to Loth, that was with Abram;

6 Karena itu tanah di situ tidak cukup padang rumputnya untuk didiami mereka berdua, sebab ternak mereka terlalu banyak.

and the lond miyte not take hem, that thei schulden dwelle togidre, for the catel of hem was myche, and thei miyten not dwelle in comyn.

7 Lalu terjadilah pertengkaran antara para gembala Abram dan para gembala Lot. (Pada masa itu orang Kanaan dan orang Feris masih mendiami tanah itu).

Wherfor also strijf was maad bitwixe the keperis of flockis of Abram and of Loth. Forsothe Chananei and Feresei dwelliden in that lond in that tyme.

8 Abram berkata kepada Lot, "Kita ini bersaudara, tidak baik jika orang-orangmu dan orang-orangku saling bertengkar.

Therfor Abram seide to Loth, Y biseche, that no strijf be bitwixe me and thee, and bitwixe my scheepherdis and thi scheepherdis; for we ben britheren.

9 Sebab itu sebaiknya kita berpisah. Pilihlah bagian mana dari tanah ini yang kausukai. Jika engkau pergi ke arah ini, saya akan pergi ke arah yang lain."

Lo! al the lond is bifore thee, Y biseche, departe thou fro me; if thou go to the left side, Y schal holde the riyt side; if thou chese the riyt side, Y schal go to the left side.

10 Lot memandang ke sekitarnya dan dilihatnya bahwa seluruh Lembah Yordan, sampai ke kota Zoar banyak airnya, seperti Taman TUHAN atau seperti tanah Mesir. (Begitulah keadaannya sebelum TUHAN memusnahkan kota-kota Sodom dan Gomora.)

And so Loth reiside hise iyen, and seiy aboute al the cuntrei of Jordan, which was al moistid, bifor that the Lord distriede Sodom and Gomorre, as paradis of the Lord, and as Egipt, as men comen in to Segor.

11 Akhirnya Lot memilih seluruh Lembah Yordan itu, lalu berangkat ke timur. Demikianlah kedua orang itu berpisah.

And Loth chees to him the cuntre aboute Jordan, and departide fro the eest; and thei weren departid ech fro his brother.

12 Abram tetap tinggal di tanah Kanaan, sedangkan Lot berkemah di kota-kota di lembah sampai dekat Sodom.

Abram dwellide in the lond of Chanaan; sotheli Loth dwellide in townes aboute Jordan, and wonide in Sodom.

13 Kota Sodom itu didiami oleh orang-orang yang sangat jahat dan berdosa terhadap TUHAN.

Forsothe men of Sodom weren ful wickid, and synneris greetly bifore the Lord.

14 Setelah Lot pergi, TUHAN berkata kepada Abram, "Dari tempat engkau berdiri itu, pandanglah baik-baik ke segala arah;

And the Lord seide to Abram, aftir that Loth was departid fro him, Reise thin iyen forth riyt, and se fro the place in which thou art now, to the north and south, to the eest and west;

15 Aku akan memberikan kepadamu dan kepada keturunanmu seluruh tanah yang engkau lihat itu supaya menjadi milikmu selama-lamanya.

Y schal yyue al the lond which thou seest to thee and to thi seed, til in to with outen ende.

16 Aku akan memberikan kepadamu keturunan yang sangat banyak, sehingga tak seorang pun sanggup menghitung mereka. Sebagaimana orang tak dapat menghitung debu di tanah, demikian juga keturunanmu tidak akan dapat dihitung.

And Y schal make thi seed as the dust of erthe; if ony man may noumbre the dust of erthe, also he schal mowe noumbre thi seed.

17 Sekarang, jelajahilah seluruh tanah ini, sebab Aku akan memberikannya kepadamu."

Therfor rise thou, and passe thorou the lond in his lengthe and breede, for Y schal yyue it to thee.

18 Setelah itu Abram memindahkan perkemahannya lalu menetap di dekat pohon-pohon keramat tempat ibadat di Mamre dekat Hebron, dan di situ ia mendirikan mezbah bagi TUHAN.

Therfor Abram, mouynge his tabernacle, cam and dwellide bisidis the valei of Mambre, which is in Ebron; and he bildide there an auter to the Lord.
