Ulangan 21
1 "Apabila di negeri yang diberikan TUHAN Allahmu kepadamu ada orang yang kedapatan mati terbunuh di ladang dan tidak ketahuan siapa pembunuhnya,

2 maka pemimpin dan hakimmu harus pergi mengukur jarak dari tempat mayat itu ditemukan ke tiap-tiap kota yang berdekatan.
the grettere men in birthe and thi iugis schulen go out, and schulen mete fro the place of the careyn the spaces of alle citees `bi cumpas;
3 Lalu para pemuka dari kota yang paling dekat harus memilih seekor sapi muda yang belum pernah dipakai untuk bekerja.
and the eldre men of that citee, `which thei seen to be neer than othere, schulen take of the droue a cow calf, that `drow not yok, nether kittide the erthe with a schar;
4 Sapi itu harus mereka bawa ke suatu tempat di dekat sungai yang tidak pernah kering dan yang tanahnya belum pernah dibajak atau ditanami. Di situ mereka harus mematahkan leher binatang itu.
and thei schulen lede that cow calf to a scharp `valey, and ful of stoonys, that was neuere erid, nether resseyuede seed; and in that valey thei schulen kitte the heed of the cow calf.
5 Para imam Lewi juga harus pergi ke situ, karena mereka harus memberi keputusan dalam tiap perkara tindak kekerasan. Mereka dipilih TUHAN Allahmu untuk mengabdi kepada-Nya dan mengucapkan berkat atas nama-Nya.

6 Lalu semua pemuka dari kota yang paling dekat harus mencuci tangan mereka di atas sapi itu
And the grettere men in birthe of that citee schulen come to the slayn man, and thei schulen waische her hondis on the cow calf, that was slayn in the valei;
7 dan mengatakan, 'Bukan kami yang membunuh orang itu, dan kami tidak tahu siapa yang melakukannya.
and thei schulen seie, Oure hondis schedden not out this blood, nether oure iyen sien.
8 TUHAN, ampunilah Israel umat-Mu yang Kaubebaskan dari Mesir. Ampunilah kami dan jangan menganggap kami bertanggung jawab atas pembunuhan orang yang tidak bersalah.'
Lord, be mercyful to thi puple Israel, whom thou `ayen brouytist, and arette thou not innocent blood in the myddis of thi puple Israel. And the gilt of blood schal be don awey fro hem.
9 Maka dengan melakukan apa yang dituntut TUHAN, kamu tidak dianggap bertanggung jawab atas pembunuhan itu."
Forsothe thou schalt be alien fro the blood of the innocent which is sched, whanne thou hast do that that the Lord comaundide.
10 "Apabila kamu berperang dan TUHAN Allahmu memberi kamu kemenangan, lalu kamu mengambil tawanan perang,
If thou goist out to batel ayens thin enemyes, that thi Lord God bitakith hem in thin hond, and thou ledist prisoneris,
11 mungkin di antara mereka ada seorang wanita cantik yang kausukai dan ingin kauperistri.
and thou seest in the noumbre of prisounneris a fair womman, and thou louest hir, and wole haue hir to wijf,
12 Bawalah wanita itu ke rumahmu. Di situ ia harus menggunting rambutnya, memotong kukunya,
thou schalt brynge hir in to thin hows; `which womman schal schaue the heer, and schal kitte the nailes aboute, and sche schal putte awei the clooth,
13 dan berganti pakaian. Ia harus tinggal di rumahmu dan berkabung atas kematian orang tuanya selama satu bulan. Sesudah itu engkau boleh kawin dengan dia.
wher ynne sche was takun, and sche schal sitte in thin hows, and schal biwepe hir fadir and modir o monethe; and aftirward thou schalt entre to hir, and schalt sleepe with hir, and sche schal be thi wijf.
14 Kalau di kemudian hari engkau tidak menginginkan dia lagi, engkau boleh menyuruh dia pergi dengan bebas. Ia tak boleh kauperlakukan sebagai budak atau kaujual, karena ia telah kaupaksa bersetubuh dengan engkau."
But if aftirward sche sittith not in thi soule, `that is, plesith not thi wille, thou schalt delyuere hir fre, nethir thou schalt mowe sille hir for money, nether oppresse bi power, for thou `madist hir lowe.
15 "Misalkan seorang punya dua istri, dan keduanya melahirkan anak laki-laki, tetapi anak yang lahir lebih dahulu bukan anak dari istri kesayangannya.
If a man hath twey wyues, oon loued, and `the tothir hateful, and he gendrith of hir fre children, and the sone of the hateful wijf is the firste gendrid,
16 Kalau orang itu mau menentukan bagaimana ia akan membagi kekayaannya kepada anak-anaknya, ia tak boleh memihak pada anak dari istri kesayangannya dengan memberi kepada anak itu bagian yang menjadi hak anak sulung.
and the man wole departe the catel bitwixe hise sones, he schal not mowe make the sone of the loued wijf the firste gendrid, and sette bifor the sone of the hateful wijf,
17 Ia harus memberi bagian dua kali lipat dari harta bendanya kepada anak laki-laki yang sulung, walaupun anak itu bukan anak dari istri kesayangannya. Hak anak sulung harus diakui oleh ayahnya, dan kepada anak itu harus diberi warisan yang menjadi haknya menurut hukum."
but he schal knowe the sone of the hateful wijf the firste gendrid, and he schal yyue to that sone alle thingis double of tho thingis that he hath; for this sone is the begynnyng of his fre children, and the firste gendrid thingis ben due to hym.
18 "Misalkan ada anak laki-laki yang keras kepala, suka memberontak dan tak mau menurut kepada orang tuanya walaupun mereka sudah menghukum dia.
If a man gendrith a sone rebel, and ouerthewert, which herith not the comaundement of fadir and modir, and he is chastisid,
19 Maka orang tuanya harus membawa dia kepada para pemuka kota tempat mereka tinggal dan minta supaya anak itu diadili.
and dispisith to obei, thei schulen take hym, and schulen lede to the eldre men of that citee, and to the yate of doom;
20 Mereka harus berkata kepada para pemuka kota itu, 'Anak kami ini keras kepala, suka memberontak dan tak mau taat kepada kami; ia memboroskan uang dan suka mabuk.'
and thei schulen seie to hem, This oure sone is ouerthewert and rebel; he dispisith to here oure monestyngis, `ethir heestis, he yyueth tent to glotonyes, and letcherie, and feestis.
21 Lalu orang-orang lelaki dari kota itu harus melempari anak itu dengan batu sampai mati. Dengan demikian kamu memberantas kejahatan itu. Semua orang di Israel akan mendengar tentang kejadian itu dan menjadi takut."

22 "Apabila seseorang telah dihukum mati karena suatu kejahatan, dan mayatnya digantung pada tiang,
Whanne a man doith a synne which is worthi to be punyschid bi deeth, and he is demed to deeth, and is hangid in a iebat,
23 mayat itu tak boleh dibiarkan di situ sepanjang malam, tetapi harus dikubur pada hari itu juga. Mayat yang tergantung pada tiang mendatangkan kutuk Allah atas negeri. Jadi, kuburkanlah mayat itu supaya kamu tidak mencemarkan negeri yang diberikan TUHAN Allahmu kepadamu.
