2 Raja-raja 16
1 Pada tahun ketujuh belas pemerintahan Raja Pekah anak Remalya atas Israel, Ahas anak Yotam menjadi raja Yehuda.
In the seuententhe yeer of Phacee, sone of Romelie, Achaz, the sone of Joathan, kyng of Juda, regnyde.
2 Pada waktu itu ia berusia 20 tahun dan ia memerintah di Yerusalem 16 tahun lamanya. Ia tidak mengikuti teladan yang baik dari Raja Daud, leluhurnya, melainkan melakukan yang tidak menyenangkan hati TUHAN, Allahnya.
Achaz was of twenti yeer, whanne he bigan to regne, and he regnyde sixtene yeer in Jerusalem; he dide not that, that was plesaunt in the siyt of his Lord God, as Dauid, his fadir dide, but he yede in the weie of the kyngis of Israel.
3 Ia hidup seperti raja-raja Israel, bahkan mempersembahkan putranya sendiri sebagai kurban kepada dewa, menurut kebiasaan buruk orang-orang yang telah diusir TUHAN dari negeri Kanaan ketika orang Israel memasuki negeri itu.
Ferthermore and he halewide his sone, and bar thorouy the fier, bi the idols of hethene men, whiche the Lord distriede bifore the sones of Israel.
4 Ahas mempersembahkan kurban dan membakar dupa di tempat-tempat penyembahan dewa di gunung-gunung dan di bawah pohon-pohon yang rindang.
And he offride sacrifices, and brente encense in hiy placis, and in hillis, and vndur ech tree ful of bowis.
5 Pada masa itu raja Edom menguasai kembali kota Elat dan mengusir orang-orang Yehuda yang tinggal di situ. Orang Edom kemudian datang dan menetap di kota itu sampai hari ini. Pada masa itu juga Rezin raja Siria dan Pekah raja Israel menyerang dan mengepung Yerusalem, tetapi tidak dapat mengalahkan Ahas.
Thanne Rasyn, kyng of Sirye, and Phacee, sone of Romelie, kyng of Israel, stiede in to Jerusalem to fiyte; and whanne thei bisegide Achaz, thei miyten not ouercome hym.
In that tyme Rasyn, kyng of Sirie, restoride Ahila to Sirie, and castide out Jewis fro Ahila; and Ydumeis and men of Sirie camen into Ahila, and dwelliden there til in to this dai.
7 Ahas mengirim utusan kepada Tiglat-Pileser raja Asyur dengan pesan ini, "Aku hambamu yang setia; karena itu, aku mohon, datanglah dan selamatkanlah aku dari raja Siria dan raja Israel yang sedang menyerang aku."
Forsothe Achaz sente messangeris to Teglat Phalasar, kyng of Assiriens, and seide, Y am thi seruaunt and thi sone; stie thou, and make me saaf fro the hond of the kyng of Sirie, and fro the hond of the kyng of Israel, that han rise togidere ayens me.
8 Ahas juga mengambil emas dan perak dari Rumah TUHAN, serta harta benda istana, lalu mengirimnya sebagai hadiah kepada raja Asyur itu.
And whanne Achaz hadde gaderide togidere siluer and gold, that myyte be foundun in the hows of the Lord, and in the tresours of the kyng, he sente yiftis to the kyng of Assiriens;
9 Raja Tiglat-Pileser mengabulkan permohonan Ahas, lalu menyerbu dan merebut Damsyik. Penduduknya diangkutnya sebagai tawanan ke Kir, dan rajanya, yaitu Raja Rezin, dibunuhnya.
whiche assentide to his wille. Sotheli the kyng of Asseriens stiede in to Damask, and wastide it, and translatide the dwelleris therof to Sirenen; sotheli he killide Rasyn.
10 Ketika Raja Ahas pergi ke Damsyik untuk menemui Raja Tiglat-Pileser, ia melihat mezbah di kota itu. Lalu ia mengirim kepada Imam Uria di Yerusalem contoh mezbah itu dengan ukurannya yang tepat secara terperinci.
And kyng Achaz yede in to metyng to Teglat Phalasaar, kyng of Assiriens; and whanne kyng Achaz hadde seyn the auter of Damask, he sent to Vrie, the preest, the saumpler and licnesse therof, bi al the werk therof.
11 Maka Uria mendirikan sebuah mezbah sesuai dengan contoh dan ukuran yang diterimanya itu, dan menyelesaikannya sebelum Ahas kembali.
And Vrie, the preest, bildide an auter bi alle thingis whiche king Achaz hadde comaundid fro Damask, so dide the preest Vrie, til kyng Achaz cam fro Damask.
12 Setibanya dari Damsyik, Ahas melihat bahwa mezbah itu sudah selesai.
And whanne the king cam fro Damask, he siy the auter, and worschipide it; and he stiede, and offride brent sacrifices, and his sacrifice;
13 Lalu di atas mezbah itu ia mempersembahkan kurban binatang serta kurban gandum. Ia juga menuang kurban anggur dan darah dari kurban perdamaian ke atas mezbah itu.
and he offride moist sacrifices, and he schedde the blood of pesible thingis, which he hadde offrid on the auter.
14 Ahas melihat bahwa mezbah perunggu yang dikhususkan untuk TUHAN terletak antara Rumah TUHAN dan mezbahnya yang baru. Karena itu mezbah perunggu itu dipindahkannya dari depan Rumah TUHAN ke sebelah utara mezbahnya yang baru itu.

15 Setelah itu ia berkata kepada Uria, "Pakailah mezbahku yang besar ini untuk membakar kurban pagi dan kurban malam yang dipersembahkan raja dan rakyat, dan tuangkanlah di situ kurban anggur dari rakyat. Tuangkan juga ke atas mezbah itu darah semua binatang yang dipersembahkan. Dan mezbah perunggu yang lama itu biarlah aku yang memakainya untuk minta petunjuk dari roh-roh."
Also kyng Achaz comaundide to Vrie, the preest, and seide, Offre thou on the more auter the brent sacrifice of the morewtid, and the sacrifice of euentid, and the brent sacrifice of the king, and the sacrifice of hym, and the brent sacrifice of al the puple of the lond, and the sacrifices of hem, and the moist sacrifices of hem; and thou schalt schede out on that al the blood of brent sacrifice, and al the blood of slayn sacrifice; sotheli the brasun auter schal be redi at my wille.
16 Uria melaksanakan perintah raja.
Therfor Vrie, the preest, dide bi alle thingis whiche kyng Achaz hadde comaundid to hym.
17 Kemudian Ahas membongkar kereta-kereta perunggu yang dipakai di Rumah TUHAN, dan mencopoti tempayan-tempayan dari kereta-kereta itu. Bejana perunggu yang besar yang ada pada punggung dua belas sapi perunggu itu diambilnya juga dan diletakkannya di atas alas dari batu.

18 Lalu untuk mengambil hati raja Asyur, Ahas membongkar balairung raja di Rumah TUHAN, dan menutup pintu masuk yang khusus untuk raja.
Also he turnede the tresorie of sabat, which he hadde bildid in the temple, and `he turnede the entryng of the kyng with outforth, in to the temple of the Lord for the kyng of Assiriens.
19 Kisah lainnya mengenai Raja Ahas dicatat dalam buku Sejarah Raja-raja Yehuda.
Forsothe the residue of wordis of Achaz, and alle thingis whiche he dide, whether these ben not writun in the book of wordis of daies of the kyngis of Juda?
20 Ahas meninggal dan dikubur di pekuburan raja-raja di Kota Daud. Hizkia anaknya menjadi raja menggantikan dia.
And Achaz slepte with hise fadris, and was biried with hem in the citee of Dauid; and Ezechie, his sone, regnede for hym.
