1 Ngem sika, ibagam ti maitutop nga addaan iti napudno a panursuro.

But speak thou that which becometh sound doctrine,

2 Dagiti lallakay ket masapul a managteppel, natakneng, nanakem, nasimbeng iti pammati, iti ayat, ken iti panagibtur.

and teach, That the elders be watchful in their minds, and be chaste and pure, and sound in the faith, and in charity, and in patience.

3 Kasta met dagiti natataengan a babbai a masapul a kanayon nga iparangda dagiti bagbagida kas mararaem, saan a mammadpadakes. Masapul a saanda a paigamer iti adu nga arak. Masapul nga isuroda ti naimbag

And so also the aged women, that they be in behaviour what becometh the fear of Aloha, and not slanderers, nor enslaved to much wine, and that they teach good things;

making those who are young modest, to love their husbands and their children,

5 Masapul nga isuroda ida nga agbalin a nanakem, nasin-aw, nasayaat a mangaywan ti balay, ken agtulnogda kadagiti bukodda nga assawa. Masapul nga aramidenda dagitoy a banbanag tapno saan a maumsi ti sao ti Dios.

and to be chaste and holy, well mindful of their houses, and submissive to their husbands, that no man blaspheme the word of Aloha.

6 Iti isu met laeng a wagas, allukoyem dagiti agtutubo a lallaki nga agbalin a nanakem.

And of those who are young men, likewise, require that they be chaste.

7 Iti amin a wagas iparangmo ti bagim a kas pagulidanan dagiti nasayaat nga ar-aramid; ken no agisuroka, ipakitam ti kinadalus ken kinatakneng.

But in every thing show thyself the example in all good works, and in doctrine let there be with thee sound speech which is sincere and incorrupt,

8 Agibagaka iti mensahe a nasayaat ken awan pakababalawanna tapno ti siasinoman a bumusor ket maibabain, gapu ta awan iti dakes a maibagana maipanggep kadatayo.

and which no man will despise, that he who riseth against us may be ashamed when he cannot say any thing hateful against us.

9 Dagiti tagabu ket masapul nga agtulnog kadagiti amoda iti amin a banag. Masapul nga ay-aywenda isuda, ken saan a makisuppiat kadakuada.

Let servants to their masters be submissive in every thing, and please them, not contradicting,

10 Masapul a saanda nga agtakaw. Ngem ketdi, masapul nga ipakitada ti amin a nasayaat a pammati, tapno mapapintasda iti amin a wagas dagiti sursurotayo maipanggep iti Dios a manangisalakantayo.

nor pilfering; but let them show their good-trustiness in every thing, that they may adorn in every thing the doctrine of Aloha our Saviour.

11 Ta nagparang ti parabur ti Dios kadagiti amin a tattao.

FOR the all-saving grace of Aloha hath appeared to all men,

and teacheth us to deny wickedness and the lusts of the world, and to live in this world in purity, and in rectitude, and in the fear of Aloha, (aiōn g165)

13 kabayatan nga ur-urayentayo nga awaten ti nagasat a namnama, ti panagparang ti dayag ti naindaklan a Diostayo ken Manangisalakan a ni Jesu-Cristo.

while expecting the blessed hope and the manifestation of the glory of the great God and our Saviour Jeshu Meshiha;

14 Inted ni Jesus ti bagina para kadatayo tapno subbotennatayo manipud iti amin nga awanan ti linteg ken tapno pagbalinennatayo a nasin-aw, para kenkuana, a naisangsangayan a tattao a nagagar a mangaramid kadagiti nasayaat nga ar-aramid.

who gave himself for us, to redeem us from all iniquity, and to cleanse unto himself a new people, who are zealous of good works.

15 Ibagam ken iballakadmo dagitoy a banbanag. Mangtubngarka nga addaan iti amin a turay. Saanmo nga itulok nga adda manglaksid kenka.

These speak, and require, and maintain with all authority, and no man shall despise thee.
