Kanta ni Solomon 8

1 Tarigagayak a kaslaka la koma iti kabsatko a lalaki, a nagsuso kenni inangko. Ket no masabatka iti ruar, mabalinka nga agkan, ket awan ti siasinoman ti manguyaw kaniak.

Oh that some one would make thee as my brother that hath sucked my mother's breasts! should I then find thee without, I would kiss thee; and yet, people would not despise me.

2 Idalanka ket iyegka iti balay ni inangko, ket suroannak. Ikkanka iti natimplan nga arak ken sangkabassit a tubbog ti bunga ti granadak. Kasarsarita ti balasang ti bagina.

I would lead thee, I would bring thee into my mother's house, thou shouldst teach me: I would cause thee to drink of spiced wine, of the sweet juice of my pomegranate.

Oh that his left hand might be under my head, and that his right hand might embrace me.

4 Kayatko nga agkarikayo, annak a babbai dagiti tattao ti Jerusalem, a saanyo a singsingaen ti panagkakaiddami agingga a malpas daytoy. Agsarsarita dagiti babbai ti Jerusalem

I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem, why will ye awaken, and why will ye excite my love, until it please [to come of itself]?—

5 Siasino daytoy a sumangsang-at a naggapu idiay let-ang, nga agsadsadag iti ay-ayatenna? Kasarsarita ti balasang ti ay-ayatenna Riniingka iti sirok ti kayo nga aprikot; insikognaka sadiay ni inangmo; sadiay ti nangipasngayanna kenka, inyanaknaka.

Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her friend?—Under the apple-tree have I waked thee up; there thy mother brought thee forth; there brought thee forth she that bore thee.

6 Isaadnak a kas tanda iti pusom, a kas tanda iti takkiagmo, ta iti ayat ket napigsa a kas iti patay. Ti imon ket naranggas a kas iti sheol; agkayamkam ti apuyna; maysa daytoy a gumilgil-ayab nga apuy, apuy a napudpudot ngem ti dadduma pay nga apuy. (Sheol h7585)

Set me as a seal upon thy heart, as a seal upon thy arm; for strong as death is love; violent like the nether world is jealousy; its heat is the heat of fire, a flame of God. (Sheol h7585)

7 Saan a kabaelan a sebseban ti agsabua-sabuag a dalluyon ti ayat, saan a kabaelan uray ti layus nga iyanud daytoy. No ited ti maysa a lalaki ti amin a sanikua nga adda iti balayna para iti ayat, maumsinto a naan-anay ti sagutna. Agsasarita dagiti kabsat a lalaki ti babai

Many waters are not able to quench love, nor can the rivers flood it away: if a man were to give all the wealth of his house for love, men would utterly despise him.—

8 Adda kabsatmi nga ubing a babai, ken saan pay a nagpammukel. Ania ti aramidenmi para iti kabsatmi a babai iti aldaw a maikarinto isuna a maiyasawa?

We have a little sister, and she hath yet no breasts: what shall we do for our sister on the day when she shall be spoken for?

9 No isuna ket maysa a pader, agpatakderkami iti maysa a torre a pirak para kenkuana. No isuna ket maysa a ridaw, pakalupkopanminto isuna kadagiti tabla a sedro. Kasarsarita ti balasang ti bagina

If she be a wall, we will build upon her a palace of silver: and if she be a door, we will enclose her with boards of cedar.—

10 Maysaak a pader, ngem dagitoy susok ket kasla torre a pagkamangan; isu a naan-anayakon a nataengan iti imatangna. Kasarsarita ti balasang ti bagina

I am a wall, and my breasts are like towers: then was I in his eyes as one that found favor.

11 Adda kaubasan ni Solomon idiay Baal-hamon; impaabangna ti kaubasan kadagiti mangtaripato iti daytoy. Mangted ti tunggal maysa iti sangaribu a siklo ti pirak para kadagiti bungana.

Solomon had a vineyard at Ba'al-hamon; he had given up the vineyard unto the keepers; every one was to bring for its fruit a thousand pieces of silver.

12 Kukuak ti kaubasak; kukuam ti sangaribo a siklo, o dungdungoek a Solomon, ken ti duagasut a siklo ket para kadagiti mangtartaripato iti ditoy para iti bungana. Makisarsarita iti babai ti mangay-ayat kenkuana

My vineyard, which was mine, was before me: thine, O Solomon, be the thousand, and let two hundred be for those that keep its fruit.—

13 Sika nga agnanaed kadagiti minuyongan, dumdumngeg iti timekmo dagiti kakaduak; Ipangngegmo met koma kaniak daytoy. Kasarsarita ti balasang ti mangay-ayat kenkuana

“Thou that dwellest in the gardens, the companions listen for thy voice: oh let me hear it.”

14 Apuraem, ay-ayatek, ket agbalinka a kas iti korso wenno urbon a kalakian nga ugsa kadagiti banbantay dagiti rekado a pangpabanglo.

Flee away, my friend, and be thou like the roebuck, or the fawn of the hinds, upon the mountain of spices.
