1 Ni Pablo, maysa nga adipen ni Jesu-Cristo, naayaban nga agbalin nga apostol, ken nailasin para iti ebanghelio ti Dios.
To all in Rome who are dear to God and have been called to become Christ’s People, from Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, who has been called to become an Apostle, and has been set apart to tell God’s Good News.
2 Daytoy ti ebanghelio nga inkarina sakbay iti amin babaen kadagiti propetana iti Nasantoan a Sursurat.
This Good News God promised long ago through his Prophets in the sacred Scriptures,
3 Maipapan daytoy iti Anakna a naipasngay manipud kadagiti kaputotan ni David no maipapan iti lasag.
concerning his Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord; who, as to his human nature, was descended from David,
4 Naipakaammo isuna nga isu ti Anak ti Dios babaen iti pannakabalin iti Espiritu iti kinasanto babaen iti panagungar manipud iti patay, ni Jesu- Cristo nga Apotayo.
but, as to the spirit of holiness within him, was miraculously designated Son of God by his resurrection from the dead.
5 Inawattayo ti parabur ken panagbalin nga apostol babaen kenkuana para iti panagtulnog iti pammati kadagiti amin a nasion, a maigapu iti naganna.
Through him we received the gift of the Apostolic office, to win submission to the Faith among all nations for the glory of his Name.
6 Kadagitoy a nasion, naayabankayo met nga agbalin a kukua ni Jesu-Cristo.
And among these nations are you — you who have been called to belong to Jesus Christ.
7 Daytoy a surat ket para kadagiti amin nga adda idiay Roma, dagiti ay-ayaten ti Dios, a naayaban nga agbalin a nasantoan a tattao. Parabor koma ti adda kadakayo, ken kapia manipud iti Dios nga Amatayo ken ni Apo Jesu-Cristo.
May God, our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ bless you and give you peace.
8 Umuna, agyamanak iti Diosko babaen kenni Jesu-Cristo gapu kadakayo amin, gapu ta naiwaragawag ti pammatiyo iti entero a lubong.
First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ about you all, because the report of your faith is spreading throughout the world.
9 Ta ti Dios ti saksik, a pagserserbiak iti espirituk iti ebanghelio ti Anakna, no kasano nga itultuloyko a dakdakamatenkayo.
God, to whom I offer the worship of my soul as I tell the Goodness of his Son, is my witness how constantly I mention you when I pray,
10 Kankanayonko a kidkiddawen kadagiti kararagko a babaen iti aniaman a wagas ket agballigi-ak koman ita babaen iti pagayatan ti Dios iti iyuumayko kadakayo.
asking that, if he be willing, I may some day at last find the way open to visit you.
11 Gapu ta tartarigagayak a makitakayo, tapno mangitedak koma kadagiti naespirituan a sagut, tapno mapapigsakayo.
For I long to see you, in order to impart to you some spiritual gift and so give you fresh strength —
12 Dayta ket, kalkalikagumak a makipinnabileg kadakayo, babaen iti pammati ti tunggal maysa, pammatiyo ken pammatik.
or rather that both you and I may find encouragement in each other’s faith.
13 Ita, saanko a kayat a saanyo nga ammo, kakabsat, a masansan a pangpanggepek nga umay kadakayo, ngem malaplappedanak agingga ita. Kayatko daytoy tapno maaddaanak met kadagiti bunga kadakayo a kas met kadagiti nabatbati a Hentil.
I want you to know, Brothers, that I have many times intended coming to see you — but until now I have been prevented — that I might find among you some fruit of my labours, as I have already among the other nations.
14 Adda pagrebbengak kadagiti Griego ken kadagiti gangannaet, kadagiti masirib ken kadagiti maag.
I have a duty to both the Greek and the Barbarian, to both the cultured and the ignorant.
15 Ngarud, no maipapan kaniak, nakasaganaak met a mangiwaragawag iti ebanghelio kadakayo nga adda dita Roma.
And so, for my part, I am ready to tell the Good News to you also who are in Rome.
16 Gapu ta saanko nga ibain ti ebanghelio, agsipud ta daytoy ti pannakabalin ti Dios a maipaay iti pannakaisalakan iti amin a mamati, umuna ket para kadagiti Judio ket kalpasanna kadagiti Griego.
For I am not ashamed of the Good News; it is the power of God which brings Salvation to every one who believes in Christ, to the Jew first, but also to the Greek.
17 Ta iti daytoy, naipakaammo ti kinalinteg ti Dios manipud pammati agingga iti pammati, a kas naisurat, “Agbiagto dagiti nalinteg babaen iti pammati.”
For in it there is a revelation of the Divine Righteousness resulting from faith and leading on to faith; as Scripture says — ‘Through faith the righteous man shall find Life.’
18 Ta naipakaammo ti pungtot ti Dios manipud langit a maibusor iti amin a saan a nadiosan ken kinakillo dagiti tattao, a babaen iti kinakillo ket igawidna ti kinapudno.
So, too, there is a revelation from Heaven of the Divine Wrath against every form of ungodliness and wickedness on the part of those men who, by their wicked lives, are stifling the Truth.
19 Daytoy ket gapu ta makitada ti nammoan maipanggep iti Dios. Ta linawlawagan ida ti Dios.
This is so, because what can be known about God is plain to them; for God himself has made it plain.
20 Ta nagbalin a silalawag a makita dagiti saan a makita a kababalinna sipud pay iti pannakaparsua ti lubong. Maawatan dagitoy babaen kadagiti naparsua a banbanag. Dagitoy a saan a makita a kababalinna ket ti agnanayon a pannakabalin ken kinaDiosna. Kas pagbanaganna, awan pagpambar dagitoy a tattao. (aïdios g126)
For ever since the creation of the universe God’s invisible attributes — his everlasting power and divinity — are to be seen and studied in his works, so that men have no excuse; (aïdios g126)
21 Daytoy ket gapu ta uray no naammoanda ti maipanggep iti Dios, saanda nga intan-ok isuna a kas Dios, wenno saanda a nagyaman kenkuana. Ngem ketdi, nagbalinda a maag iti panpanunotda, ken limmidem dagiti saan a makarikna a puspusoda.
because, although they learned to know God, yet they did not offer him as God either praise or thanksgiving. Their speculations about him proved futile, and their undiscerning minds were darkened.
22 Ibagbagada a masiribda ngem nagbalinda a maag.
Professing to be wise, they showed themselves fools;
23 Insukatda ti dayag ti saan a madadael a Dios iti kaas-asping iti langa iti madadael a tao, kadagiti billit, kadagiti uppat ti sakana nga ayup, ken kadagiti agkarkarayam a banbanag.
and they transformed the Glory of the immortal God into the likeness of mortal man, and of birds, and beasts, and reptiles.
24 Ngarud, binaybay-an ida iti Dios kadagiti panaggartem ti pusoda iti kinarugit, para iti pakaibabainan dagiti bagbagida met laeng.
Therefore God abandoned them to impurity, letting them follow the cravings of their hearts, till they dishonoured their own bodies;
25 Isuda dagiti nangisukat iti kinapudno ti Dios para iti inuulbod, ken nangdayaw ken nagserbi iti naparsua imbes nga iti Namarsua, nga agnanayon a maidaydayaw. Amen. (aiōn g165)
for they had substituted a lie for the truth about God, and had reverenced and worshiped created things more than the Creator, who is to be praised for ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
26 Gapu iti daytoy, binaybay-an ida ti Dios kadagiti nakababain a regget, ta insukat dagiti babbaida ti gagangay a pakaaramatanda para iti maibusor iti gagangay a kinasiasinoda.
That, I say, is why God abandoned them to degrading passions. Even the women among them perverted the natural use of their bodies to the unnatural;
27 Kasta met, pinanawan met dagiti lallaki ti gagangay a pakaaramatanda kadagiti babbai ket sineggedanda dagiti kinaderrepda iti maysa ken maysa. Dagitoy dagiti lallaki a nangaramid iti saan nga umno kadagiti padada a lallaki, ken nangawat ti rumbeng a dusa kadagiti pannakaiyaw-awanda iti gagangay a nakaiparsuaanda.
while the men, disregarding that for which women were intended by nature, were consumed with passion for one another. Men indulged in vile practices with men, and incurred in their own persons the inevitable penalty for their perverseness.
28 Gapu ta saanda nga immanamong iti pannakaadda ti Dios iti pannakaammoda, binaybay-an ida ti Dios iti dakes a panunot, tapno aramidenda dagitoy saan a maiparbeng.
Then, as they would not keep God before their minds, God abandoned them to depraved thoughts, so that they did all kinds of shameful things.
29 Napnoda kadagiti amin a kinakillo, kinadangkes, kinaagum ken gura. Napnoanda iti kinaap-apal, kinamammapatay, kinamanagaapa, kinamanangallilaw, ken dakes a pangpanggep.
They revelled in every form of wickedness, evil, greed, vice. Their lives were full of envy, murder, quarrelling, treachery, malice.
30 Mannaritada, mammaperdi, ken managgura iti Dios. Naranggasda, natangsit, ken napangas. Isuda dagiti agar-aramid kadagiti dakes a banbanag, ken nasukirda kadagiti nagannakda.
They became back-biters, slanderers, impious, insolent, boastful. They devised new sins. They disobeyed their parents.
31 Awan iti pannakaawatda; saanda a mapagtalkan, awanan gagangay a panagayat, ken saan a manangngaasi.
They were undiscerning, untrustworthy, without natural affection or pity.
32 Maawatanda dagiti annuroten ti Dios, a maikari iti patay dagiti agar-aramid iti kasta a banbanag. Ngem saanda laeng nga ar-aramiden dagitoy a banbanag, anamonganda met dagiti dadduma nga agar-aramid kadagitoy.
Well aware of God’s decree, that those who do such things deserve to die, not only are they guilty of them themselves, but they even applaud those who do them.
